Intro

This is Dreamwalker1960. As a reminder you can read the transcripts of all my podcasts at dreamwalker1960.com. You can use most podcast platforms if you wish to listen. All you need to do is do a search for Dreamwalker1960.

Until further notice the messages that accompany this notice will be part of the “Come out of her my people” series. They will be harsh. They will cause people to get upset. This is as it should be. They must question the way they think and live. So, they can seek to follow Christ and not the world.

Discussion

In the last Podcast I made mention that people need to avoid commentaries and to actually STUDY the Word of God for themselves.

Most in their busy lives actually don’t even take the time to read the Bible let alone study it. However, studying the Bible is mandatory. Because if people actually studied, they would be surprised by what they have gotten wrong and why they may still live in sin. Most of these actually thinking they aren’t sinning, which is actually worse off for them.

In today’s study I will actually take one verse and show how it can be misinterpreted. The verse of choice:

Matthew 7:23 NKJV – And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Now let us look at it in the KJV:

Matthew 7:23 KJV – And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Now the NLT:

Matthew 7:23 NLT – But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

Then the NIV.

Matthew 7:23 NIV – Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Well, Let us look at the word “iniquity” from the KJV.

Iniquity from the dictionary – the Marrion Webster – 1: gross injustice : wickedness; 2: a wicked act or thing : sin.

From the Cambridge Dictionary – a very wrong and unfair action or situation.

From Dictionary.com – gross injustice or wickedness. Synonyms: evildoing, knavery, depravity, infamy.     a violation of right or duty; wicked act; sin.

So, from how people now interpret the word “iniquity:” We come to this meaning those that practice evil and live in sin.

Now let us look at how the word is translated when related to the Bible.

Iniquity – In Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance this word is identified as “G458” or Greek 458. The Strong’s definition is worded this way:

“Illegality, that is, violation of the law or (generally) wickedness, iniquity X transgress ( -ion of) the law, unrighteousness.”

From a website called “Bible Hub.” This is the information we glean from it:

“anomia” – Lawlessness, iniquity, transgression, disobedience, sin.

There seem to be some difference between the modern meaning and the Biblical meaning. So, therefore, let’s dig a bit deeper.

For this I will look to the Theological Dictionary of the New Testament:

In the NT ἀνομία has the same range of use as elsewhere. In the plur. (found only in quotations) it is the “sinful act,” though the connection with the Law, measured by which the act in question is shown to be sin, is not directly in view….

ἀνομία may have a stronger connection with the Law and its transgression in Mt; this at least appears to be true in 23:28, where the words ἔσωθεν δέ ἐστε μεστοὶ ὑποκρίσεως καὶ ἀνομίας are addressed specifically to the pious who strictly observe the Law. The connection is less close, however, in 7:23.

Matthew 23:28 KJV – Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Matthew 23:28 NKJV – Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.

So, per the Bible’s original meaning of the word “iniquity” is not “evildoers” but those that disobey God’s laws, the commandments. Yes, they are evildoers, however as emphasized by Matthew 23:28 they are those that appear to be righteous and loyal to God when they are loyal to only themselves. Thus, making them lawless. Which also corresponds with the way the verses of Matthew 7:21-23 are presented.

Therefore, those that made the NIV have created a lie, thus they follow the father of all lies. To show this point let us study a different part of the Bible:

Mark 9:38-50 NKJV – Now John answered Him, saying, “Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us.” But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. For he who is not against us is on our side. For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward. “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea. If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— where ‘THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.’ And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— where ‘THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.’ And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire— where ‘THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.’ “For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt. Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another.”

Missing from the NIV is verses Mark 9:44 and 46.

“Where ‘THEIR WORM DOES NOT DIE AND THE FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED.’”

Did they remove them because they thought they were too repetitive? I don’t know. One of the main issues is that it reinforces that if you sin you shall suffer damnation in the lake of fire per Isaiah:

Isaiah 66:24 NKJV – “And they shall go forth and look Upon the corpses of the men Who have transgressed against Me. For their worm does not die, And their fire is not quenched. They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.

Christ’s point of being repetitive is that it is made three times. When something is stated three times in the Word of God is it something that cannot be revoked or overturned.

2 Corinthians 13:1 NKJV – This will be the third time I am coming to you. “BY THE MOUTH OF TWO OR THREE WITNESSES EVERY WORD SHALL BE ESTABLISHED.”

This is why Christ said it three times. So, deleting this diminishes Jesus Christ and in turn diminishes God.

This is also why the story of the young rich man is repeated in three gospels. Because we are to consider this interaction between Christ and this young man as what it is intended to be for all that desire to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Something that is mandatory for all to pursue. Yet most will respond as the young rich man did and Christ knew this even then.

Mark 10:17-22 NKJV – Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. You know the commandments: ‘DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY,’ ‘DO NOT MURDER,’ ‘DO NOT STEAL,’ ‘DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘HONOR YOUR FATHER AND YOUR MOTHER.'” And he answered and said to Him, “Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.” Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.” But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

So, therefore, once again we note that those that made the NIV try to diminish God, to weaken the teachings of Jesus Christ. Therefore, those that made this book are twice cursed to where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.

Throw the NIV in the garbage and get a real Bible. Then use it to STUDY the Word of God. This means not to take the words printed there verbatim, but use it to guide you to the Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. Understanding the Bible as written down originally gives you the Ture Gospel.

Knowing the True Gospel then makes you understand why you must be a bondservant to God and teach it without seeking compensation. For that is what being a bondservant means. Because you will come to realize that most have never heard the real Gospel, which is why they live in sin and are not going to heaven, but to that place where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.

All because they listen to others. They read commentaries that give men’s opinions and don’t reflect what is truly taught in the Word of God.

I say once again, as I have said many times before. STUDY the Word of God for yourself. DO not take my word, do not take any man’s word. You MUST learn it for yourselves in the Greek. In the Hebrew. In the Aramaic. For only then will you know the Truth.

Many times, people say I have misinterpreted the Word of God. In reality it is they that listen to lies. Lies from the commentaries. Lies from those that stand before them on the dais.

Lies that have blinded them as well as most others to the Truth. When they say the words: “When you stand before God on Judgement Day.” That is the only time they speak the Truth. For they are admitting to all that they are damning those that listen to them as well as themselves to have to stand before the Great White Throne Judgement. This is something to weep over not to celebrate. For they will have missed the first and greatest resurrection, and are willingly joining the second resurrection which will lead most likely to the lake of fire. Where their worm will not die and the fire is not quenched.

God Bless
