Understanding who are, or more accurately, who will be the “elect”

One trend that I hear and see is a belief that certain people in this world, no matter how they act or behave are “chosen,” “select,” “elect.” In my recent series on the Olivet Discourse I hit upon this theme and I now wish to expand upon it further.
To understand who the “elect” are we must look at Jesus Christ’s point of view when He talked to His apostles on the Mount of Olives just a few days before His arrest by the Pharisees. Jesus made it very clear when you read His wording of His teachings correctly. That He was here in this plain of existence for the Jewish people. To be their Messiah. The descendants of Abraham and Jacob rejected Him as was foretold in the book of Isaiah. However, this did not change His mandate. When a gentile woman saw the truth of who He was. He told her He was not here for the gentiles, yet He still accepted her.
My point. When he was speaking His discourse upon the Mount of Olives. He was speaking to the Jewish people still for that was still His mandate given Him by His Father the Lord God.
When He spoke of the “elect” being gathered just before His return. He is only speaking of those chosen from within the tribes of Israel. This is spelled out in Revelation 7:
Revelation 7: 2 And I saw another angel coming up from the east, carrying the seal of the living God. And he shouted to those four angels, who had been given power to harm land and sea, 3 “Wait! Don’t harm the land or the sea or the trees until we have placed the seal of God on the foreheads of his servants.” 4 And I heard how many were marked with the seal of God—144,000 were sealed from all the tribes of Israel: 5 from Judah 12,000 from Reuben 12,000 from Gad 12,000 6 from Asher 12,000 from Naphtali 12,000 from Manasseh 12,000 7 from Simeon 12,000 from Levi 12,000 from Issachar 12,000 8 from Zebulun 12,000 from Joseph 12,000 from Benjamin 12,000
So as is made clear in these verse. These are the elect, the select. Chosen and picked from each of the twelves tribes of Israel.
“Then what of those that are ‘Christian?’” someone asks.
As was also pointed out in the Olivet Discourse there are to be multiple Raptures.
Those that are prepared and ready will be taken in the first Rapture when Christ returns like a thief in the night. (1 Thessalonians 4:17; Revelation 3:10)
Then billions will know the truth and accept Jesus as the Messiah and they will realize this temporal existence is nothing compared to the eternal life ahead for all that ask Jesus Christ to be their Savior. These billions due to the first Rapture will endure persecution and hardships then ultimately death. Then right after the 144,000 receive their mark upon their foreheads the next Rapture occurs and these now martyred billions will stand before the throne of God. (Revelation 7:9-17)
Then all that will be left upon the earth are the 144,000, the rest of the Jewish people that are yet to be killed and billions who rejected God and Jesus and chose to accept the mark of the Anti-Christ. It is during this next three and a half years that the earth will itself suffer greatly to the point that debris will be hurtled into the upper atmosphere. This will cause the sun, the stars and the moon to diminish in light as is foretold by Jesus Christ Himself during the Olivet Discourse. Then just before He is to return to the very Mount He taught His discourse from just over two thousand years ago. He will gather the 144,000, the elect. Then the final battle will occur that will usher in the Thousand Year Reign of Jesus Christ.
So who are the elect? Those that are Messianic Jews and are given the mark of God.

Laws are not guidelines

Per the Cambridge dictionary a “law” is defined as:
“a rule made by a government that states how people may and may not behave in society and in business, and that often orders particular punishments if they do not obey, or a system of such rules: civil/criminal law; federal/state law”
A guideline is defined as:
“a piece of information that suggests how something should be done”
Let’s go a step further in this definition. A “suggestion” is:
“an idea, possible plan, or action that is mentioned for other people to consider.”
As you can see they are two completely different things. However in many in today’s society “laws” are treated as “guidelines,” “suggestions.”
A very visible example of this is the speed limits on roads.
These are states laws that state we must not exceed a certain miles per hour. However most everyone goes faster and if you are not like them, then you are the problem.
The Bible tells us this:
Titus 3:1 – Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good.
Yet many who call themselves “Christian,” go with the flow of traffic. In other words they embrace and accept the sin and in turn are defying God Himself.
Why?
Because they see the teachings of Jesus Christ as guidelines instead of something that must be adhered to. They see the laws of humanity not being followed, so why bother to follow God. This is the mentality of the weak. Those that say they are “Christian,” but in reality they are not. They are hypocrites and most don’t even realize it.
The commandments within the Bible, which Jesus Christ stated he come to fulfill, are laws. We are to live our lives through faith and works, which as we are instructed in Titus is to obey the laws of the land, unless they go against the laws of God, which are greater. So stop treating laws like guidelines, for once you treat a law as a guideline you state you are willing and able to sin against God. For you are more important than God.

The thing those in Hollywood don’t know.

You hear nearly daily of this celebrity or that celebrity saying that they know what is best for the rest of humanity. Why? Because they are rich.
This is what the Bible says about those that have been given wealth in the world:
1 John 3:17 – If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person?
Now the first thing that will come from the minds of the read of this post is this:
“But they are showing compassion.”
Now let’s expand this topic to include the full teaching in this letter.
1 John 3:11 – This is the message you have heard from the beginning: We should love one another. 12 We must not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and killed his brother. And why did he kill him? Because Cain had been doing what was evil, and his brother had been doing what was righteous. 13 So don’t be surprised, dear brothers and sisters, if the world hates you. 14 If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead. 15 Anyone who hates another brother or sister is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them. 16 We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion—how can God’s love be in that person? 18 Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. 19 Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God. 20 Even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, and he knows everything. 21 Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. 22 And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him. 23 And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us. 24 Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us.
So in the full teaching we see that it is both faith and works that shows we are children of God. So for a celebrity to tell us we must welcome the sick and the poor. However they live in wealth, luxury and leisure. They horde most their wealth and if they do share it they share very little.
Those that are given wealth are not to store up their wealth, especially if they profess to be “Christian.” We should live on enough to be debt free and not to live in excess and luxury. Once we reach this point, yet we are still given the wealth of this world that which exceeds our base needs should be given first to our fellow Christians in need so that they can then live debt free and in comfort. If we still have worldly wealth left that should be given beyond the body of Christ to help those truly in need. For that is what the Bible teaches us to do.
So those that are called celebrities are not something to revere, but to shun and ignore for they are of the world and we are not to befriend the world. For those that do befriend the world are the enemies of God.
