Those that Think They are Rich

1 Timothy 6:17 (NKJV) – Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.

Now nearly half a year I have been forced to be surrounded by those that believe they are rich and have mistook the last part of this verse to mean they can get earthly rewards for their personal enjoyment. However, they don’t see just how haughty they behave. All because they  have placed their trust in uncertain riches.

Christ said this during the Sermon on the Mount:

Matthew 6:19-24 (NKJV) – “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

This is a direct commandment from Jesus Christ NOT to seek after earthly rewards. Then what is being referred to in the last part of the verse in 1 Timothy? First off we need to look at some other verses:

1 John 2:15-16 (NLT) – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

To understand what the world offers we must understand what “mammon” is.

Mammon is defined as riches, money, possessions and property. All these are items that those that consider themselves rich seek after. These items they believe is what is being referred to in 1 Timothy 6:17.

Once again mammon is defined as riches (jewelry, and fancy clothes), money (seeking after and hording earthly wealth beyond what is needed to make it to the next day), possessions (those objects that gather dust all over your houses and as well as luxury vehicles and any vehicle that goes beyond the basic need of transport to places you need to get to) and then property (a huge house beyond the basic need for shelter and/or multiple houses as well as empty land filled with nothing to help those in need.)

And who gives these rewards?

Luke 4:6 (NKJV) – And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.

Satan gives earthly rewards, which is why Christ is saying this in Matthew when commanding all not to seek after earthly wealth:

Matthew 6:22-23 (NKJV) – “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

In Ephesians those that choose to follow Christ are told this:

Ephesians 5:1-11 (NLT) – Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him. Don’t participate in the things these people do. For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.

Key teachings that show what it is we are to enjoy:

“Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God.”

The third item mentioned is not to be greedy. This is then expanded upon:

Ephesians 5:5 (NLT) – You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.

“For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.” And once again what are the “things of this world?”

Mammon which is defined as riches, money, possessions and property. All the things that those that act haughty and call themselves rich seek after. Not realizing they seek after damnation not salvation. For they do not worship God through Jesus Christ. They worship and adoringly follow their true master. Themselves and in turn Satan.

Their fate has already been determined by their own haughtiness and their faith not in God but in rewards given by Satan not by God through Jesus Christ.

Matthew 16:24-27 (NKJV) – Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.

PERIOD!!!

False Teachers and Prophets

Now we need to get this VERY clear. In the Olivet Discourse Jesus Christ says this at the very beginning:

Matthew 24:4-5 (NKJV) – And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.

Then six verses later he appears to repeat Himself:

Matthew 24:11 (NKJV) – Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

This can be explained, but this isn’t that time or place. We will stick to just those that are false teachers and prophets saying they represent Jesus Christ.

To Start with let’s go to I Timothy.

1 Timothy 2:9-12 (NKJV) – in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.

Now before I key in on the most important part of these verses let us hear these verses:

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NKJV) – All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

So the Words found within the Bible are ALL inspired by God Himself. Therefore, when the Bible says this:

“And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence.”

Thus, ANY man-made religion that allows women to stand upon the dais and behind the pulpit defy and most especially deny God and Jesus Christ.

Matthew 10:33 (NKJV) – But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

This is verified when they allow those that profess to being homosexual to stand upon the dais and behind the pulpit as well. Because the Word of God says this:

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NKJV) – Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (AMPC) – Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality, Nor cheats (swindlers and thieves), nor greedy graspers, nor drunkards, nor foulmouthed revilers and slanderers, nor extortioners and robbers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God.

For if they are not welcome in the kingdom of God how can they be a true servant of God if they are destined to damnation. This is made clear here:

Revelation 21:8 (NKJV) – But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Those that are destine to the lake of fire don’t want to lead others to salvation. This is shown here in the Bible:

2 Peter 2:1-22 (NKJV) – But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)— then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord. But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption, and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you, having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children. They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; but he was rebuked for his iniquity: a dumb donkey speaking with a man’s voice restrained the madness of the prophet. These are wells without water, clouds carried by a tempest, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A DOG RETURNS TO HIS OWN VOMIT,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

The most important verses in these verses making the point about what is being taught today:

2 Peter 2:18-19 (NKJV) – For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.

This bondage they return them to is damnation in the lake of fire and brimstone. This is their whole plan. To bring them into the same damnation they themselves are to endure for all eternity. PERIOD.

Thousands of years of False Teachings

What most don’t realize or understand is that the “Christianity” they profess to follow is not true Christianity.

Jesus Christ established very tight requirements to become a True Disciple, a True Follower of the Son of God.

Luke 14:25-33 (NKJV) – Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it— lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

At this very time there are “great multitudes” that say they follow him. Yet they deny and refuse to follow the rest of what is stated in these verses.

Why?

“Because it isn’t required of them.” The moment this thought came into their heads they listened to Satan. Because Jesus Made it very clear:

“Whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple..”

Luke 14:33 (AMPC) – So then, any of you who does not forsake (renounce, surrender claim to, give up, say good-bye to) all that he has cannot be My disciple.

When accepting salvation we are to give up all that we have per Jesus Christ as was just shown. This is reinforced by Paul in Timothy:

1 Timothy 6:6-19 (NKJV) – Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen. Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

As you can tell from these verses even Paul knew it was a commandment from Jesus Christ, which actually began on the sermon on the mount:

What people don’t realize is that when rejecting not to end the pursuit of materialism aka mammon they choose to remain in darkness. The more they keep and seek after mammon the deeper into the darkness they fall.

Mammon is what the world offers. Mammon is defined as riches (jewelry, and fancy clothes), money (seeking after and hording earthly wealth beyond what is needed to make it to the next day), possessions (those objects that gather dust all over your houses and as well as luxury vehicles and any vehicle that goes beyond the basic need of transport to places you need to get to) and then property (a huge house beyond the basic need for shelter and/or multiple houses as well as empty land filled with nothing to help those in need.)

As long as people keep their mammon they live in darkness. They blind themselves to the Truth. That is why it makes these verses make total sense:

Matthew 6:22-23 (NKJV) – “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

The eye can only be good by giving up mammon as instructed in previous verses:

Matthew 6:19-21 (NKJV) – “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

It is bad when it lusts after earthly rewards which are given by Satan:

1 John 2:15-17 (NKJV) – Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

Luke 4:6 (NKJV) – And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.

When people seek after and gather unto themselves mammon they show they worship Satan not God. This includes those that go to churches as well. Why I say this is because churches teach seeking after mammon by saying they only need give their 10% tithe and the rest is theirs to do with as they please. This is TOTALLY opposite what Christ taught.

Anything opposite Christ is antichrist. Anything that is antichrist is damnation. PERIOD!
