Today I will be showing the top ten false teachings that now plague humanity. These are not in any particular order. However, they are not found in the Bible.

#10 – the self-glorification teaching.

A teaching that we are special. We are wonderful. That because we are now one with God we are His glorious child and all lies.

Here is how someone should see themselves because this is how Paul saw himself:

Romans 7:24 – Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?

We are constantly at battle with our sin nature as witnessed here:

Galatians 5:16-26 – So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. 18 But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses. 19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. 22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. 25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. 26 Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.

If a person lives in any of the sins listed in these verses that person is not one with God. They are in reality one with sin and so will suffer the fate of those that live in this sin.

Now remember the verse from Romans and how Paul thought of his own mortal nature. Any who think of themselves as great while living in this sin filled body do not think much of God our Creator, and if they do not think much of God. then who are they truly glorifying?

Themselves. For they are their own gods.

If it is peace in contentment people seek after by glorifying and pleasing themselves remember these verses:

1 Timothy 6:6-10 – Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. 7 After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. 8 So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. 9 But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

We will return to this later. For those that seek to make you feel glorious have another agenda in mind as well which is another false teaching, but we will move on to something else at this time.

#9 – you are only guaranteed true salvation if you speak in tongues.

This is what the Bible says:

1 Corinthians 14:1-5 – Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. 2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 3 But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men. 4 He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. 5 I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification.

Seeking after tongues is a spiritual gift, but it is meant more for one-on-one time with God. It is something for one’s prayer life, not for show to the world.

I have and do speak in tongues. When I was first filled with the Holy Spirit, I spoke it, but I do not shout it out to the world, for my gift does not lead to prophesy.

Those that say you must speak in tongues, and you must do it for all to hear and see is not Biblical. Thus, it is a false teaching. Again, designed by humans to edify the self and not God.

#8 – Celebrating Christian events on solstices.

This was established by the Catholic Church at the first council of Nicaea. Their “goal” was to help pagans to accept Christianity.

A prime example is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. For hundreds of years after His ascension it is something that people were trying to pin down. Their best guesstimate is September from 4 to 2 BC. Not 0Ad. It was Pope Julius I around 350AD that made this the day to celebrate Christ’s birth and so now all commemorate this day which is on or close to the winter solstice.

The term “Easter” does not have to do with Christ’s death or resurrection. From the New Unger’s Bible Dictionary this is said:

“The word ‘Easter’ is of Saxon origin, Estra, the goddess of spring, in whose honor sacrifices were offered about Passover time each year. By the eighth century Anglo-Saxons had adopted the name to designate the celebration of Christ’s resurrection.”

So, this is why we should not celebrate December 25th. As well we shouldn’t call Easter that name. I prefer Resurrection Day.

#7 – the confessional.

We have only one mediator:

1 Timothy 2:5-6 – For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. 6 He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.

To seek repentance from another human and then to say a few prayers does not relieve us of these sins. They stay with us and corrupt and destroy us. Only the Blood of Jesus Christ can wash away sin and having a truly repentant heart.

Repentance is defined as: the fact of showing that you are very sorry for something bad you have done in the past, and wish that you had not done it.

Saying a few words in a pray and then going and repeating the same sin over and over is not repentance it is acceptance of sin. We should strive to remove all sin from our lives no matter how painful it may be.

This goes hand in hand with

#6 – sprinkle baptism

This is done to newborns in most cases. To a child that cannot speak nor has any idea what is going on. Nor do they know who Jesus Christ is. Heck they barely know their own parents. This leads into

#5 – water baptism done before the age of consent and also not in the name of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ said this:

John 3:5 – Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.

Christ’s ministry did not begin until He Himself was baptized. (Matthew 3:13-17)

This can only be done when someone has true repentance and desires not to live in sin. Sin does not begin in any human until they reach the age of consent. Which has been shown through the Jewish faith to be at the age puberty begins. This is when someone becomes fully aware that they are corrupt and need salvation. This is why this is said about corrupting children before the age of consent:

Matthew 18:1-6 – About that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?” 2 Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. 3 Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. 4 So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. 5 “And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me. 6 But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.

Acts 2:38 – Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Not: “In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,” but in Jesus Christ.

By the way, the name of the Holy Spirit:

John 14:26 – But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Is Jesus Christ.

#4 – those who insist upon praying for all the world to see and hear

Matthew 6:5-8 – “When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get. 6 But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. 7 “When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. 8 Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!

I recently did an entire message and Bible study on this in episode #103 entitled: “We are told not to pray in public.” Look to that for a deeper look into this false teaching that makes people to pray in public in a way all will know that they are doing so.

#3 – Prosperity teaching

It is these teachers that also teach self-glorification. Those that tell you to seek after worldly treasures. To seek after wealth, luxuries and comfort here in this temporal plain of existence. For your own self-comforts and glory. This goes 100% against what is taught within the Bible:

1 John 2:15-16 – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

And by the teachings of Jesus Christ Himself:

Matthew 6:19-24 – “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. 21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. 22 “Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light. 23 But when your eye is unhealthy, your whole body is filled with darkness. And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is! 24 “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.

Nuff said on this for once you deny the Word of Christ Himself you deny Him to the world.

#2 – teaching people they can live in sins that the Bible states clearly will not allow them into heaven

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 – Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:19-21 – Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

It is made very clear. Live in these sins and never end them and you will not go to heaven. Remember this from 1 Corinthians as well:

1 Corinthians 6:11 – And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

Do not say you cannot end these sins. For they can be ended as witnessed in this verse. They were water baptized and received the Holy Ghost and with Christ’s help they ended those sin that would deny them heaven.

Will it be easy? I can say in all honesty. No, it will not. It will be painful and shattering to your very core, but it can and needs to be done if you truly seek to be in the presence of God for all eternity.

And we now come to #1 – those that follow the false teaching of “Once saved always saved”

This is nothing, but a ticket to live in sin and never to truly seek repentance. It is also ultimately the greatest denial of Jesus Christ Himself. For He makes it very clear in His own words that salvation CAN be lost:

John 15:1-6 – “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

If this is not enough, I refer you to my past podcasts: #69-71 (Salvation is not guaranteed parts 1-3).

So, these are the Top Ten false teachings that are corrupting millions into believing they are one with God, when that is the furthest thing from the truth.

Seek after God through Jesus Christ. For His return is near and time is running out for everyone.

God Bless

Discussion

When people become aware that they may have learned something incorrectly from what they heard about the Bible. They sometime become fearful, and at times angry or aggressive. They especially do this if it goes to the root of what they believe to be truth, but the Bible itself says otherwise.

When I was studying the twenty-third chapter of Matthew. The Holy Spirit caused me to focus in on the following verses:

Matthew 23:13-15 – “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. 14 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation. 15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.

Let us look more closely at these verses:

Matthew 23:13 – But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

It is made clear that those that are within a group that teaches a false doctrine will, to the point of force, stop someone who has seen the truth. They will attack and fight to keep what they feel is “truth.” Not allowing any others to find the real Truth and find their way into the presence of God through Jesus Christ.

They will be argumentative coarse and even arrogant. We are instructed this on those that behave in such a manner:

1 Timothy 6:3-5 – If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, 4 he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, 5 useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.

One of the major keys in these verses that were just read is these words:

“Even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Those that cling to false doctrine deny the words spoken by Jesus Christ Himself. Do you understand the import of that statement?

Matthew 10:33 – But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

Does this not go with what the Pharisees were doing? I will allow you the read or listener to come to your own conclusion.

Matthew 23:14 – Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

This is reference to those that seek after and take money, especially from those that are suffering from lose of a loved one. I have seen many televangelists that partake of these practices and even film the person in sorrow feeling joy and surrendering over the earthly money they need to get a new start in this temporal existence. This in many cases causes them to turn away from God instead of turning towards Him which may lead them not into Heaven, but to have to stand before the Great White Throne. Simply away from the salvation they should have received by seeking after the truth and mayhaps finding it though the trial that God placed them in.

Matthew 23:15 – “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.

This is reference to missionaries that teach false doctrines and believe with all their hearts that they are doing good. They bring many to their verses of “salvation,” then leave the people to their own devices not truly teaching them the Word of God so they falter and fall returning once again to sin. Many believing they are still one with the Lord thus making it worse for themselves then if the missionary had never come to their area and led them down a rosy path to damnation.

2 Peter 2:20-22 – For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. 22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A DOG RETURNS TO HIS OWN VOMIT,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

Now that I have read these three woes. I have been led to take a different approach to those out there that wish to hear those teachings that make the listener feel better about themselves. However, the message does in no way lead them into rejecting the way they live. Again, like the Pharisees.

These woes, though spoken to the Pharisees nearly two thousand years ago, have a new focal point in today’s world. Millions believe with all their hearts that they are one with God. That He is going to call them into heaven just before the tribulation begins.

What is one of the key elements that identified those within the Pharisees and Sadducees. They made up false teachings that echoed the Laws of Moses but in reality, had nothing to do with the Truth of these Laws. They were false laws, forced upon the people to follow.  Yet they themselves for the most part didn’t bother to do so themselves.

Millions walk into the buildings called “churches” and sit in the pews. Millions stand before these people on the dais and tell them they are loved by God. They are told they are special. They are told that they are His select. That they are greater and better because He is their protector. They have their ego’s stroked, but they feel no remorse for their actions. They curse. They speed. They commit adultery. Some even do worse. They live in sins that we are told will not allow them entrance into heaven. Yet they were just told that they are welcomed into heaven. (Matthew 7:21; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesian 5:5)

Understand this.

If the Bible says you cannot get into heaven. Then you cannot get in. If you cannot get in then you are living in a lie if you believe you can.

If this makes you angry. If this makes you upset. You need to stop and think for the Bible says this:

Galatians 5:19-21 – When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Those that do this have just declared to the world that they follow the world and not God.

There is a way around this. Listen to the Truth. Know that living in sins that are clearly shown lead not to heaven but to hell. Know that you must repent. You must end these sins, these lifestyles.

Let me give you a description of the lake of fire before you continue that thought that you would rather go to hell than end living in your current lifestyle:

Isaiah 66:24 – And as they go out, they will see the dead bodies of those who have rebelled against me. For the worms that devour them will never die, and the fire that burns them will never go out. All who pass by will view them with utter horror.”

This is the reality of what it means to live in sin. All those sins that the Bible says will not allow a person entrance into heaven go to this place. This place where fire burns and worms eat upon their flesh will be something they feel every single day of every month of every year for billions upon billions of years.

I don’t say these things out of hate. I say these things out of love for my fellow humans. I wish none to suffer this fate. Yet millions that go into the buildings called “churches” believe with all their heart that they will never experience this. Yet this is the furthest thing from the truth.

It is these people that believe they are exempt from God’s wrath. Just because they go into these buildings and give their tithe and even stand upon the dais. Yet they live in sin. They commit sin. They make people that hate God continue to do so because they see people like this living in sin, in wealth, in luxuries and comfort. Yet there are starving children literally just down the road. Not just starving because they lack food, but because they lack love, and the true teachings of the Bible.

Mark 10:21 – Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

How many believe that their true value is measured upon how wealthy and comfortable they are?

And everyone of them is living in and for sin.

If someone does not have God in them then they are not of God. If they are not of God then for whom do they truly serve and worship?

2 Corinthians 4:4 – Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

Too many people believe that those being blinded are those that do not call themselves “Christian.” However, the majority of those that do live in this manner go by the aforementioned title and believe they are perfect and glorious.

Only God is perfect and glorious. Only He deserves the glory forever and ever.. Amen

Matthew 6:5 – “When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get.

Why start today’s podcast with this verse?

The other day I was walking through a campground and a lady was outside praying. As I passed her site, apparently, she saw me and started to pray loader. In my head I praised God and His Son our Savior Jesus Christ, but I didn’t even look in her direction.

I prayed to God if I should say anything to her about this and the Holy Spirit told me not to say anything to her, but instead to do this podcast.  So, here we are.

Now why is it I felt the need to even say anything in the first place?

Partly because of 2 Timothy 4:1-5, but also since this is said in verse six of the sixth chapter of Matthew:

Matthew 6:6 – But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

Jesus Christ instructed all who follow Him to pray in private. Not on public display for all the world to see. He also clearly identifies those that do pray in public:

“Don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them.”

Those who openly pray for all the world to see them are identified as “hypocrites.”

By who?

Jesus Christ

What does Christ say next:

“I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get.”

Now this brings up an important element that needs to be looked at. I once again need to quote from 1 John:

1 John 2:15-17 – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

“a craving for everything we see”

1 John 2:16 – For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

“The lust of the eyes”

Lust – G1939 – epithumia – desire, passionate longing, eagerness for, longing

a: longing – a feeling of wanting something or someone very much

eyes – G3788 – ophthalmos – the eye, sight

a: sight – something that is in someone’s view

Simply, it can be said, that it is a great desire to be seen is one of the definitions of this.

Many believe they are right with God if they show all their “great faith.” However, God desires what from us?

Colossians 3:10-17 – Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. 11 In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us. 12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. 16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. 17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

What are the fruit we are to seek to bear?

12 – Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

Colossians 3:12 – Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.

Bowels of mercies – G4698, G3628 – tender mercies

Kindness – G5544 – chréstotés – goodness, uprightness, kindness, gentleness

Humbleness of mind – G5012 – tapeinophrosune – humility, lowliness of mind, modesty

a: humility – the quality of not being proud because you are aware of your bad qualities

Meekness – G4236 – praotés – mildness, gentleness, meekness, kindness

a: meekness – the quality of being quiet, gentle, and unwilling to argue or express your opinions

Longsuffering – G3115 – makrothumia – patience, forbearance

a: – forbearance – the quality of being patient and being able to forgive someone or control yourself in a difficult situation

When praying in public the person doing so is not displaying humility nor are they showing a quality of being quiet. So, in essence they are not bearing fruit for the Lord. They are not placing God foremost in their minds.

Instead, they are causing those about them to look at them. To think about them. To center upon them. Simply to glorify themselves and not God. That is why that is all the reward they shall receive, for it is not something stored in heaven but is displayed here in this temporal plain of existence.

This also applies to those that dance about in churches screaming out “halleluiah,” or shouting out in tongues as we are to seek after per 1 Corinthians 14, but in quiet. Those that do any type of ministry that has their name in the title is another example. Because they are seeking the glory, the focus. We are to glorify only one name, only one being, that is Jesus Christ. When this is not done that is all the reward they are going to get, for they are not showing glory to God, but themselves.

For centuries people have behaved in a certain way. They have been taught to seek after things here in this world. As shown in 1 John 2 this is not Biblical. This is the same thing that happened to Israel. Time and again they would drift away from God. Seeking after things of the world, and what happened to them? Time and again they were punished by God for turning away from Him to themselves. Then finally due to their own selfishness and arrogance they crucified the Son of God. Then just over one generation later the nation of Israel was abolished for nearly 1900 years.

More and more of those that profess to being “Christian” behave in a manner that does not truly bear fruit for God. Recently due to the “vid” we witnessed what could be called a great falling away and per many has not rebounded. However, as I have shown in a past podcast (The Biblical teaching of the mask and also what foods to eat) many went about wearing masks, but if they truly put their faith in God, they wouldn’t wear them. The fact that they wear them shows more self-concern and self-glorification then trusting and giving glory to their Creator. Simply those that professed they were “Christian” and wore or keep wearing masks announced to all the world that they are not.

How many of you listening or reading have truly read Matthew chapter 7?

How many truly followed the train of thought Jesus was presenting to us in that chapter?

Let’s look at it:

Matthew 7:12-23 – “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets. 13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. 15 “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. 16 You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. 19 So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20 Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions. 21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

Now as I have established in the past only those that have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior can cast out demons as established in Matthew 12:25-30. Consequently, this entire section is Jesus talking about those that at first said they would follow Jesus and so follow the golden rule. They turned from seeking to glorify God to seeking to line their pockets with money as established in 2 Peter 2:1-3. Thus, turning them into Pharisees.

Luke 16:14-15 – Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. 15 And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

Therefore, those that seek after the things of the world like wealth comfort and luxuries, as well as wearing masks are seen by God Himself as an abomination.

Think and ponder, for the hourglass is nearly empty till Christ Jesus’ returns.

As we come to the end of the age of the Gentiles, we must come to an understanding about the fourth gentile nation. Here is how Daniel described this forth nation, this fourth beast:

Daniel 7:7 – Then in my vision that night, I saw a fourth beast—terrifying, dreadful, and very strong. It devoured and crushed its victims with huge iron teeth and trampled their remains beneath its feet. It was different from any of the other beasts, and it had ten horns.

Many believe that once Rome fell apart that this fourth nation ceased to exist. However, that is the furthest thing from the truth.

Does not the world still work under the calendar established by the Romans?

The answer is: yes, we do.

Then the entire world is still technically within the Roman dynasty. They still reflect the behavior of the fourth beast.

Take the colonization of the America for example. Several cultures were totally destroyed fitting the description of the 4th beast. Consequently, this verifies that the fourth beast, the fourth nation is still active even at this time.

The great compromise otherwise known as the First Council of Nicaea, was when Christianity left the steadfast doctrines of the Bible for the concessions with the world. Thus, again matching the fourth beast. This is given form in the actions displaced by the Catholic Church, which made it illegal to worship God unless it be done per what they governed. While those in power showed great greed and avarice. As shown by the great wealth they gathered unto themselves and did not follow the teaches found within the Bible which compared their actions to the Pharisees.

Luke 16:14-15 – Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. 15 And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

They not only perverted the Body of Christ, but they changed the Bible itself to fit their will and desires. If you question this church, which controlled all, you were excommunicated. Kicked out and exiled so you could not corrupt that which was already corrupted.

It took the fall of the Byzantine empire to the Muslims that returned the truth to the Roman Catholic Empire, which caused Martin Luther to come into contact with the true Gospel that had been stored in Constantinople. Through his studies of the true Word of God he come to post his 95 theses in 1517. Thus, starting the Great Reformation.

For nearly the entire time Christ has been gone from this temporal realm, those that profess to being “Christian” of have sought after that which is called an abomination in the sight of God. Most of it done in His and His Son’s name, but in reality, was totally against the teachings within the true Word of God, and thus against God. However, it did reflect the true nature of the fourth beast. Thus, proclaiming the world that the Catholic Church based in Rome carried on what the pagan Roman Empire had started.

For the next 1100 plus years this remained unchallenged, but even after the reformation most of the errors established by the Catholic Church carried into the new denominations. This was exemplified by the mentality that caused the creation of the Church of England. A church created out of the lustful desires of the ruler of England: Henry VIII.

Time and again throughout the centuries peoples all through what became the known world were trampled underfoot of the fourth beast. Most in the name of Christendom, but in reality, was done though actions known as an abomination to God Himself.

It is these actions that contributed to the great falling away predicted within the Bible.

1 Timothy 4:1-5 – Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. 2 These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead. 3 They will say it is wrong to be married and wrong to eat certain foods. But God created those foods to be eaten with thanks by faithful people who know the truth. 4 Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks. 5 For we know it is made acceptable by the word of God and prayer.

Matthew 24:10 – And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other.

Opening the door to the greatest turning away that is just now beginning to rear its head:

2 Thessalonians 2:3 – Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction.

Many that wish to deny the existence of God have used the actions of those acts performed by the beast of the fourth gentile nation and not the actions of God. Even though they proclaimed to be doing it in the name of the Creator of all. Yet the mere fact that their actions were done in a way to gain personal wealth and self-glory. Again, totally opposite the teachings of the Bible.

Those that deny God say that those that pursue after wealth and luxuries in the name of Christ are His followers, yet as was witnessed earlier God considers their behaviors an abomination. Yet they insist upon these lies for they wish to live in their sins, they wish to be their own gods. They wish to accept that the blackness that they have been told is truly a nothingness. For this will allow them to perform acts so heinous that they can continue to do it only for their own adrenaline rush. A rush that dissipates quickly and leaves them once again to be in sorrow and displeasure in the world around them. Consequently, making many to repeat their sins to the point of increasing horrors in some cases. However, they revel in it, and because of this revelry they gain swelled heads. Believing themselves greater than others, especially those they victimize. However, this blackness is simply part of the descent into hell itself.

Then there are those that believe they are of the faith. Yet they live their lives as like the Pharisees as referenced earlier.

They may profess to being “Christian,” but as long as they seek after the world. Its riches and all the things the world offers they have shown themselves not be a follower of God, but a follower of he who rules the temporal plain.

2 Corinthians 4:4 – Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

So, in fact they follow the behavior of the fourth beast.

Understand this though. There is nothing we can do to change any of this. All we can address is our own salvation. All we can do is to look about us and see the fulfillment of prophecies given in the Bible. However, we still should seek to bring others to the light. Yet most would rather reflect the beast:

2 Timothy 3:1-5 – You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

How many listens to this command? How many leave those buildings called “churches” that shelter and protect those that behave in the manners listed in this prophecy?

Yes, many churches have had a great falling away as of late, but how many still cling to a believe that they are special when they still seek after worldly wealth, comfort and luxuries?

It is time to repent.

It is time to return to the God of the universe and recommit yourself to the one who died in our place upon the cross. The one who suffered for our sins. Sins so great in many cases that being placed upon a cross after having our back scourged to the point that our ribs would be exposed, wouldn’t even be enough. Yet Christ bore this for you anyway.

If you believe in God, if you believe in Christ. End your sins. Repent and begin seeking after the true and eternal treasures. Seek after eternal life. Seek after your eternal rewards which are not of this world.

This is what those with earthly wealth are commanded to do:

1 Timothy 6:17-19 – Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Luke 14:25-33 – A large crowd was following Jesus. He turned around and said to them, 26 “If you want to be my disciple, you must, by comparison, hate everyone else—your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple. 27 And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple. 28 “But don’t begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction of a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it? 29 Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money, and then everyone would laugh at you. 30 They would say, ‘There’s the person who started that building and couldn’t afford to finish it!’ 31 “Or what king would go to war against another king without first sitting down with his counselors to discuss whether his army of 10,000 could defeat the 20,000 soldiers marching against him? 32 And if he can’t, he will send a delegation to discuss terms of peace while the enemy is still far away. 33 So you cannot become my disciple without giving up everything you own.

Mark 10:17-30 – As Jesus was starting out on his way to Jerusalem, a man came running up to him, knelt down, and asked, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked. “Only God is truly good. 19 But to answer your question, you know the commandments: ‘You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. You must not cheat anyone. Honor your father and mother.’” 20 “Teacher,” the man replied, “I’ve obeyed all these commandments since I was young.” 21 Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” 22 At this the man’s face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions. 23 Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!” 24 This amazed them. But Jesus said again, “Dear children, it is very hard to enter the Kingdom of God. 25 In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!” 26 The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked. 27 Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.” 28 Then Peter began to speak up. “We’ve given up everything to follow you,” he said. 29 “Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, 30 will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property—along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life.

How many right this moment cannot give up their wealth and are right now through their actions of clinging to their earthly wealth are turning their back upon Christ and walking away from their Savior, rejecting their salvation if they had asked for it?

Matthew 7:21-23 – “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord!

I have discussed these verses several times in my podcasts, but it appears I must do so again.

Millions of people at this very moment believe with all their hearts they are going to heaven. Millions believe they are going to stand before the Lord our God in white robes.

How many within this number will truly achieve this only God Himself knows.

However, we that know the Bible, have studied that Bible. Understand that we are in the last days before the soon return of Jesus Christ.

We know we have to try our best to help ALL that desire to be in white to truly be able to stand in these robes. This can only be accomplished by understanding the truth.

Too many live in this world and think they are one with God. In recent past podcasts I have shown these verses about the Pharisees:

Luke 16:14-17 – Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. 15 And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God. 16 “The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it. 17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail.

Those that live in the world and seek after wealth and riches and possessions live in the world and of the world. They are the lukewarm.

They don’t want to hear this. They don’t want to accept this. They don’t want to live with the truth that they will have to stand before the Great White Throne, not in white robes, but as a defendant in the case against their own eternal life.

None can cast out demons unless they are of the Body of Christ.

Did you hear that!

NONE!

Get this through your heads. Salvation CAN be lost. I nearly lost it myself, so I have lived this truth.

Millions will be standing before the Great White Throne. When they are saying “Lord, Lord,” they will be saying it in bewilderment and anguish, because in their minds they had served God faithfully and completely as they built their wealth and lived in their earthly comforts. Doing that which is seen by God as an abomination, but they did it all the same, as they praised God and sang their hymns just as the Pharisees did before they crucified our Savior, the Son of God.

Jesus stated Himself that in the last days there would be many false teachers.

Matthew 24:4-5 – And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.  5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.

Peter said this:

2 Peter 2:1-19 – But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. 4 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; 7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked 8 (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)— 9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, 11 whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord. 12 But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption, 13 and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you, 14 having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children. 15 They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 but he was rebuked for his iniquity: a dumb donkey speaking with a man’s voice restrained the madness of the prophet. 17 These are wells without water, clouds carried by a tempest, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. 18 For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.

Look at what will be the main characteristics that will show those that are false teachers within the Christian ranks.

2 Peter 2:3 – And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Covetousness – G4124 – pleonexia – avarice, greediness, desire for advantage

Feigned – G4112 – plastos – artificial, fictitious, false, feigned, made up

Their goal will be to live in comfort and luxuries here upon this earth and they will do this by teaching a false gospel.

Galatians 1:6-10 – I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News 7 but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ. 8 Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you. 9 I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed. 10 Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.

Within verse ten we hear what the key to this false teaching is:

Galatians 1:10 – For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.

Any who teach messages that seek to make people feel good about themselves and the way they live is a false teacher. And as they do this their goal is not to bring people to salvation but to a place that will allow the one teaching to be wealthier and more comfortable where they live away from the buildings called “churches.”

If this requires them to cause people to seek after wealth and comfort here is this world, then that is the message they teach and as shown in these verses verifies what we were told to look for in false teachers. However, most, mainly because they do not even bother to read the Bible and would rather have their pains comforted instead of accepting them as discipline from God.

Revelation 3:19-22 – I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference. 20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. 21 Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.

Hebrews 12:6 – For the LORD disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.”

Any who seek comfort here on earth seek to stand before God at the Great White Throne Judgement and not before Him in robes of white.

Yes, you heard me correctly. Any who seek after comfort or luxuries are in actuality denying Jesus Christ.

Matthew 10:33 – But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.

Let’s breakdown that verse:

Matthew 10:33 – But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Before – G1715 – emprosthen – in front of, before.

Men – G444 – anthrópos – human being, mankind

And how does one deny Christ?

1 John 2:15-16 – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

If what they seek is not from God and is of the world than it is clear they are in fact denying Christ. and so no matter what they may think, it is this reason that they are looked down upon, for even Jesus Christ Himself sees them as lower than those that live in open sin:

Revelation 3:15-18 – “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! 16 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! 17 You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. 18 So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see.

This is a cycle that is obvious to all those that truly look at the event seen throughout history. Those that ignore their fellow humans over the pleasures and desires of their own lust, comforts and desires are in time revolted against and thrown into death and destruction.

Until that final day of wanton rebellion, which is now taking place across the world, which will cause the return of He who promised that He would. Upon that day those that believed with all their hearts that they themselves were His followers will find themselves still here upon this planet looking up into the sky in shock with horror as they find themselves still here upon this earth. Left here to face the next three and a half years of the first half of the Tribulation, if they then so decide to accept the truth and accept His punishment that they must face if they truly wish to stand before the Throne of God in robes of white.

Discussion

Now I need to restate the title of this podcast.

A person’s worst enemy in their salvation, other than Satan, is themselves.

Yes, you heard and read that correctly.

Before I continue, let us get some Biblical reinforcement:

Hebrews 6:4-6 – For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come— 6 and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.

Now once again there are those listening or reading that are scoffing at what I said, even though I have read the Word of God.

Let that sink in… they think they are scoffing at me, but in reality, they just scoffed at God.

I have been attacked and challenged multiple times over this truth. They have thrown out that I don’t know what I am talking about. They have argued that their way is the only way. They have accused me of judging them.

As to the latter I will say this per the Bible once again:

2 Timothy 4:1-5 – I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he comes to set up his Kingdom: 2 Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. 3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will reject the truth and chase after myths. 5 But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.

But enough foundation. It is time for an anecdote or two.

I now live full-time in an RV as guided by God to reduce my needs upon worldly wealth (Matthew 6:19-24).

It was this last Psalm Sunday and I had just finished shopping at Walmart and was occupied with sorting things out in the RV and getting a quick bite before continuing upon our journey.

Just before I was going to get going. A man pulls in front of my RV making it difficult for me to maneuver to get out of the parking lot. He was driving an expensive pickup with an automatic tailgate. He was also dressed in a suit. Since it was Sunday and shortly after noon, it was obvious he had just come from church.

I got out and confronted him for making it difficult for me to leave.

His retort was that it was a free parking lot.

I said this is a good day to act like a Christian and He stated:” Yes it is.” Implying I was not being Christian in my behavior, which I will concede may be partly true, for I am only human.

I stated That God Loved him and so do I. Then struggled to leave the parking lot, doing my best not to damage anyone’s property.

Christ said this:
Matthew 7:12 – “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.

Additionally, this man made his older friend walk 30 feet carrying a heavy golf bag.

Romans 12:16 – Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

2 Timothy 3:2 – For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Philippians 2:3 – Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

So, this man just came from church and behaved in a haughty selfish and self-serving attitude.

Now you are starting to see the truth within the Bible when it states salvation can be lost:

2 Peter 2:20-22 – And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. 21 It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life. 22 They prove the truth of this proverb: “A dog returns to its vomit.” And another says, “A washed pig returns to the mud.”

God was trying to get this man’s attention. I have prayed that he will eventually hear what God is trying to tell him.

When being a follower of Jesus Christ we are told, we must die to the self. That is why I state that our greatest enemy in our salvation is ourselves.

We are to be humble, placing the other humans before ourselves. The man I made reference to could have parked closer to his friend. Which was very doable. This would have been considerate to his friend carrying the golf bag, and would not have cause me any issues when leaving the parking lot.

The very first commandment is to place no other gods before God.

Too many assume this is a reference to idolatry. This is partly correct.

One thing people have to understand when it comes to understanding Hebrew is that every word has three meanings.

Therefore, we humans placing ourselves before anyone else is calling ourselves “god,” and placing us before our Creator. (Exodus 20:3)

Most in this world do this even if they say they are Christian or not. Thus making themselves their own worst enemy when it comes to seeking after eternal life.

Millions will come to this truth in the worst possible way. They believe themselves to be standing before God ready to be accepted into His presence when the first Rapture occurs.

They instead will find themselves left here in this temporal realm upon that day. Stunned in disbelief, for in their eyes they were Christian. Even though they lived their lives like the Pharisees

Luke 16:14-15 – Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. 15 And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

For they have lived their lives in what is seen as an abomination to God. Seeking only after their own self-glorification. Seeking after expensive pickups for example instead of using that money to spread the Gospel to the world.

They shouldn’t be living to play golf or participate in any other activity that will take them away from their service to God. Sporting event, television, movies, etc. etc.

We are all guilty in this regard, we all fall short. For we have not been taught correctly how to be true followers of Jesus Christ. That is why even though through all I do for God I will be very surprised upon that day when the trumpets blow and shouts from heaven are heard and I find myself standing in the presence of God.

Matthew 7:13-14 – “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

An additional part of being your own worst enemy is believing you can live in sin and still be one with God. This is an outright lie given by the god of this world who is identified in this verse:

2 Corinthians 4:4 – Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

He has deceived many.  Promising they can live as they wish in this world. He rewards and encourages them.

Yet Christ made it clear we will receive few if any rewards in this temporal realm. (Matthew 6:19-24) What He does promise us is hardship and pain for the world will hate those that are true to God through Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:10-12 – So I am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ Jesus to those God has chosen. 11 This is a trustworthy saying: If we die with him, we will also live with him. 12 If we endure hardship, we will reign with him. If we deny him, he will deny us.

For our rewards are not promised in this short temporal existence but in the eternal life that is yet to be:

Matthew 5:11-12 – “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. 12 Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.

Would you rather be a billionaire now or live billions of years with the true wealth of serving the Creator of this universe?

Jeremiah asked these questions:

Jeremiah 12:1 – LORD, you always give me justice when I bring a case before you. So let me bring you this complaint: Why are the wicked so prosperous? Why are evil people so happy?

As mentioned before in 2 Corinthians the answer is due to who is in control of this temporal realm: Satan. It is he who rewards those that live carefree and with wealth in this temporal existence. If you are not persecuted for what you believe or teach, then you are not teaching the Word of God but the lies of Satan. Any living the high life and prospering here in the world, especially if they are hording it for themselves and not sharing it with those in need per 1 Timothy 6:17-19 are not serving God. They are serving themselves as per the example given in today’s study and the ruler of this temporal realm: Satan.

I will close with verses from 1 Timothy 6:

1 Timothy 6:3-10 – Some people may contradict our teaching, but these are the wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. These teachings promote a godly life. 4 Anyone who teaches something different is arrogant and lacks understanding. Such a person has an unhealthy desire to quibble over the meaning of words. This stirs up arguments ending in jealousy, division, slander, and evil suspicions. 5 These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy. 6 Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth.

God Bless

Discussion

One of my greatest realizations that came to me is how many people in this world are really followers of Jesus Christ. Once again, I turn to the Word of God to answer this revelation.

Matthew 7:13-14 – “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

Right this moment someone is saying “halleluiah” to these verses. Believing with all their heart they are amongst those that enter in the narrow gate.

Most likely though, they are sadly mistaken.

Now they are shocked by what they just heard or read.

What right do I have to say this?

Honestly, I have none, but it is not me making this statement. I am following the insights given to me by the Holy Spirit. The comforter sent to us by Jesus Christ through His Father our Creator, God.

Now some further insight into the mentality of God:

Luke 16:14-15 – Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. 15 And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

Simply stated loving money. Seeking after it, luxuries, fancy clothes, expensive cars, seeking status here in the world is seen by God Himself as something that this an abomination. How can I say this?

1 John 2:15-16 – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

Peter says this about those that become born again and then soon after return to the world which they said they were seeking to leave:

2 Peter 2:20-22 – And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. 21 It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life. 22 They prove the truth of this proverb: “A dog returns to its vomit.” And another says, “A washed pig returns to the mud.”

Right now, the ones that got upset that their salvation may be in question are now even more upset. They are getting angry at me. However, I have shown Bible verses. The Word of God. It is not me, but God speaking.  They are getting upset with the same realization I had been given by God.

Most in the world that profess to being “Christian” at this time, and as a matter of fact for centuries believed they were one with God but lived their lives like the Pharisees.

Yes, you heard or read that correctly, like Pharisees.

What this means is that the majority of those that right this moment professes to being “Christians” are on the highway not the road that is difficult.

The first and smallest rapture is soon to take place. On that day those that do not awaken to the truth. Those that profess to being “Christian” and find themselves still here in this temporal existence. In shock. Bewildered that God abandoned them and left them here.

The thing is they weren’t abandoned.

They abandoned God. They abandoned Jesus Christ. They abandoned their own salvation.

Now there are those laughing.

They are saved, they will always be saved. They haven’t been paying attention.

I personally wish they would listen. For I do not wish for them to be standing here on earth looking up in bewilderment as the last trumpet blasts and they find themselves still here.

However, I know this truth as well. Most will never acknowledge this truth. This is witnessed by what else…. The Bible, the Word of God:

Revelation 7:9-14 – After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. 10 And they were shouting with a great roar, “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!” 11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living beings. And they fell before the throne with their faces to the ground and worshiped God. 12 They sang, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! Amen.” 13 Then one of the twenty-four elders asked me, “Who are these who are clothed in white? Where did they come from?” 14 And I said to him, “Sir, you are the one who knows.” Then he said to me, “These are the ones who died in the great tribulation. They have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white.

“After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb.”

“These are the ones who died in the great tribulation.”

These are the billions that must and will die DURING the tribulation. After the first rapture, which marks the beginning of the tribulation in which those that accept Christ Jesus as their Savior will die.

They now scream that Christ WILL take them and save them from this.

They just called the Word of God a lie. I will pause a moment to allow those that just stated that they will be included in the first rapture, yet it is stated clearly that billions will die during the tribulation.

Which is it?

The Bible or them?

Well, which is it?

If you truly follow what is in the Bible, then once you accepted Jesus Christ and once you truly read and study the Bible. Then you would sell off your worldly goods and downsize.

Yes, downsize. You would give up those things that are of this world and start gathering not worldly treasured but heavenly ones.

1 Timothy 6:17-19 – Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. 18 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. 19 By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.

Most will reject what has been stated so far. They will blame me, because I am merely a human. They will reject all that as been stated, because they are special, they are great, nothing stated by me is the truth.

They just called the Bible, Jesus, God: a liar.

I have been led to say the following.

Many churches are no longer that. They have become a social club dedicated to the glory of those that attend and not to whom it was meant to glorify: our Savior Jesus Christ and His Father our Creator God.

I personally care for nothing done in these buildings called “churches.”

They have labeled themselves for what they truly are.

Many look about them daily and are blind to what they see about them. They have forgotten that everything in nature we see was created by God.

Many buildings that claim to be a “church” have welcomed sin openly into their pews, and they do not care for it keeps the bills paid and the doors open. So, they can preach their false doctrines, claiming they preach the Word of God, when their actions state clearly the total opposite.

Now understand this. Those that follow the Bible, at this time, truly FOLLOWING the Word of God, cannot leave sin alone. We cannot welcome it into our midst. Not because we hate, but because we love.

True followers of Christ Jesus cannot stand to live in sin, nor tolerate those that do. The key is a repentant heart.

What does it mean to be repentant?

Repent – G3340 – metanoeó – change the inner man (particularly with reference to acceptance of the will of God); reconsider (morally to feel compunction)

a: compunction – a feeling of uneasiness or anxiety of the conscience caused by regret for doing wrong (living in sin) or causing pain; contrition; remorse.

When you follow Christ, you seek with all your heart to end sin within your own life. You feel the love of Christ and you desire for all to know and feel this love as well. So, being His followers, we seek to have all feel His acceptance, but this can only be done by ending sin in their own lives.

But understand this as well. Even though we follow Christ we still sin. However, when we sin, we feel regret, pain and sorrow to the core of our soul. We beg God’s forgiveness, and stive to end sin. Many times, God purges sins from us, and we never do them again, but there is always one sin that doesn’t seem to go away. It is this one that plagues us until we leave this life.

This one sin is our reminder that we live in corruption. Always striving to reject it and avoid it. That we must seek repentance over and over, because we faulter and fail. A never-ending cycle until we are blessed to be brought into the presence or our Creator God.

Most in this world do not feel true repentance. Many live in sins that clearly states they will never be allowed into heaven, yet they live in these sins anyway. Believing they will be allowed in. This is the furthest thing from the truth.

Matthew 7:13-14 – “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

To ask someone that truly follows Christ to leave sinners alone is like asking a mother not to feed her babe as that baby screams in hunger. The affection is the same.

We wish none to go to hell, but that is the default destination for all that have not asked Jesus Christ to be their Savior and then truly be repentant.

True repentance means ending sin… especially those sin which will not allow any entrance into heaven. Understand that a majority of those that profess to being “Christian” do not live in repentance. For truly being “Christian” is one of the hardest lifestyles to live. For people will attack us, make fun of us, laugh at us. We strive to live modest lives, not in luxuries. For this people will think us stupid and ignorant. They will think we control the actions of those that live in non-repentant sins within those buildings that have allowed sin to enter into them so they can excuse their own desires to live in sin.

Time is running out and the first rapture will be small, but you can still be in it. Repent. Accept Christ as your Savior.

God Bless.

Discussion

One of the things that stands out in many of those that profess to being “Christian” is their unwillingness to help people end their sin. They say it is none of their business.

Are they not of the Body of Christ?

I will pause a to allow those listening to think upon their answer.

The true answer is found here:

Matthew 25:14-30 – “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. He called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone. 15 He gave five bags of silver to one, two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last—dividing it in proportion to their abilities. He then left on his trip. 16 “The servant who received the five bags of silver began to invest the money and earned five more. 17 The servant with two bags of silver also went to work and earned two more. 18 But the servant who received the one bag of silver dug a hole in the ground and hid the master’s money. 19 “After a long time their master returned from his trip and called them to give an account of how they had used his money. 20 The servant to whom he had entrusted the five bags of silver came forward with five more and said, ‘Master, you gave me five bags of silver to invest, and I have earned five more.’ 21 “The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’ 22 “The servant who had received the two bags of silver came forward and said, ‘Master, you gave me two bags of silver to invest, and I have earned two more.’ 23 “The master said, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’ 24 “Then the servant with the one bag of silver came and said, ‘Master, I knew you were a harsh man, harvesting crops you didn’t plant and gathering crops you didn’t cultivate. 25   I was afraid I would lose your money, so I hid it in the earth. Look, here is your money back.’ 26 “But the master replied, ‘You wicked and lazy servant! If you knew I harvested crops I didn’t plant and gathered crops I didn’t cultivate, 27 why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank? At least I could have gotten some interest on it.’ 28 “Then he ordered, ‘Take the money from this servant, and give it to the one with the ten bags of silver. 29 To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away. 30 Now throw this useless servant into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Please note the servant with one bag of silver. Now here is an important point that needs to be made clear. This is not about seeking after worldly wealth. This is about bringing people to Christ. The bags of silver are not money. It is our spiritual gifts, but the added silver is not more spiritual gifts. It is new people added to the Kingdom of Heaven. This requires interaction with people and helping them to see they are living not for God but for themselves. It requires not burying our heads in the sand or our bags of silver in the ground. Many chose to do this though.

They say:

“That is their sin, and they have to deal with.”

“It is not my place to interfere in their life.”

“Live and let live.”

It is this mentality that is seen by those that chose to bury their silver in the ground.

One of the key elements that is truly required when becoming a child of God is the filling of the Holy Spirit. The most important part of knowing the will of God is learning the Word of God.

Mark 16:15-16 – And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.

However, do not forget what the true “Good News” is.

“Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not.”

Those who make excuses are not following the word of God. They are not correcting. They are not rebuking. They are not encouraging.

Too many have forgotten the last part of this parable.

Matthew 25:29-30 – ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Those that are servants in the Kingdom of Heaven are “Christians.” Those that profess to being this and did nothing to bring others to the promise of salvation are removed from this and given over to that place where all go that do not know God.

But they do not see this because they see themselves as above this and saved. They do not wish to suffer the rejection of their fellow humans. They are afraid of suffering here in this temporal plain of existence.

John 16:33 – These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

I will share with you one of the dreams I have been given as a dreamer of dreams:

Lightning flashes as the sound of the thunder explodes in my ears. I look about me and see the ruins of several buildings. Around me I observe people running about, their clothes torn and tattered.

Suddenly I see a dark form upon a horse riding straight toward me, with a long lance in his hand. The rider lowers the point of the lance as his steed’s pace quickens. In less than a second, I realizes my life is in danger and I leap to one side of the charging rider. Quickly I stand from where I landed and look around. Before me, down the remains of a city’s street I perceive a light, and within the light I feels the presents of God. Hastily I begin to move towards the light as the joy of being with God begins to fill me. As I start to run forward, I begin to see a faint image of Jesus standing in the light.

Then without warning I fall; and as I land, I feel as if I am in a field with the weeds brushing against me. I sit up and look into the air where the light had been only seconds before, but now there is nothing, only a darkening gray sky. I look around me and see others about. Most I had never seen before, but others I do recognize. They are actors and politicians, for the most part; and others are people who call themselves “Christians,” whom I had seen on television once or twice.

I look at the hill I had fallen onto and is shocked to notice that the weeds are not that at all. Instead, they look like some type of tentacles that wave back and forth. First in an upward motion, and then in a downward movement, like seaweed in a tidal pool swaying back and forth as a wave passes overhead. As each movement pass, I find myself a little farther down the hill. I look at the bottom of the slope and is startled at the sight of a sheer drop awaiting me at its base.

I try to stand but cannot. So, I try to crawl up the rise, but for every inch I moves up, the tentacles drive Me two inches in the opposite direction. Finally, I stop and look about me. I see two men clinging to each other like lovers facing death together, and I am sickened by the sight. I look on a scantily dressed woman, her face caked in makeup in an attempt to hide the black and blue discoloration beneath her eye. I watch as a man in a fine suit bows his head in prayer until he falls into the abyss before all of them. As the individual falls into the darkness below, I look at the impending darkness before me, and a sadness starts to fill me as I look over the edge. A sudden feeling of hopelessness fills me as I lean towards the void before me and allow myself to fall over the edge.

The darkness is not complete as I feel myself falling towards my unknown destination. I see the silhouettes of others falling with me, ever downward. At one point in my descent, I see the forms of several people in a circle holding hands as they fall ever deeper, into the bottomless pit of blackness. I join the group and notice that they are singing a hymn. After a short time, I release their hands as they all continue downward towards the ultimate goal as they continue to sing their joyful song.

After a time, I feel as if I has been falling for hours when I suddenly notice a reddish light start to appear below me. I look carefully as the distance between me, and the light grows ever smaller. The light flickers like a flame as I look at the terrain below me. At first, I think my eyes are being tricked by the fluctuating luminance, but it is not. The ground is moving like a vast ocean beneath me, always active. As the distance closes, I soon become aware of the reason for the motion below. I begin to see the form of millions upon millions of individual people all moving about as if in a daze.

Finally, I reach the end of my fall. I feel myself slow as I approach the ground below and look about at the endless mass of walking bodies around me. My feet touch the ground, and I know I am in Hell.

Now I was led to tell you of this dream is due to the fact that there are those that call themselves “Christian” and yet they do nothing for God, and believe they are going to heaven. Do you remember how Jesus ended the parable we started today with?

I recently read this in a meme:

“Contrary to popular belief, hell is not a place where God sends only the worst of the worst. Hell is our default destination. We need someone to save us, or we stand before God condemned.

“That Savior is Christ. He died for sin so we might live for Him. Repent and follow Jesus.”

Here is one concept that I have noted from those that belief there is nothing beyond this temporal life we now live.

They live in the denial of God and an eternal life. To them the darkness that is seen by some that have had a life after death incident. Is verification of the lack of an eternal life. This gives them license to do as they please. Things to the point of absolute horrid actions and behavior by even those that consider themselves to be “civilized.” This darkness, I know through my faith in Christ and His Father God, is the same darkness I witnessed in my dream. A decent to eternal damnation, which all default to if they do not accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.

John 10:9 – I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.

John 3:1-7 – There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’

Many think they are going to heaven; most aren’t.

Analysis your own life be you sinner or saint for time is running out

God Bless

I have been led by the Holy Spirit to talk about the Armor of God. However, I am not going to follow it in the same way others have. So, let us look into these verses that are so important to us.

Ephesians 6:10-20 – A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. 19 And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike. 20 I am in chains now, still preaching this message as God’s ambassador. So pray that I will keep on speaking boldly for him, as I should.

Throughout my studies of the Bible. When reading the New Testament, especially those letters written by Paul. God guided him through the Holy Spirit, I believe, to write the most important elements of a point last. Why? Because being the last thing the person heard or read would be what stuck with them the longest.

With that in mind, what is the most important points found in these verses?

The answer:

Ephesians 6:17-18 – Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

Asking God into one’s life, and then learning the Word of God. I mean truly learning the Word of God.

When understanding the true Word of God, we come to know why it is the sword. For a sword cuts. A sword hurts. It can cut us to our soul and cause us to weep from the pain. For we come to know just how wicked we are living in sin.

Which brings us to something that all need to accept. Being in corruption we all have a sin that we can never totally rid ourselves of. Even when we become saved, we have a sin that we will never lose. Paul understood this and confessed it. (Romans 7:7-25) This is also said in Galatians 5:

We all struggle, but it is those that repent, and seek not to repeat the sins they have committed that shows the difference between those that are faithful to God and those that are faithful to themselves. Those that accept the sword of the Word of God accept that salvation can be lost if someone does not reign in their behavior and their sins.  There are those that challenge this. Many of those that do are with the group that follows the man-made doctrine of “once saved always saved.”

Right now, someone listening to this just got angry at what was just said. Apparently, they were not paying attention to the verses that were read a bit ago, so I will key in on key verses they should have listened to.

“When you follow the desires of your sinful nature… hostility, quarreling… outbursts of anger… dissension, division.”

Did those that got angry just display one of these sins? I will allow them to make that determination.

What is important is coming to understand the truths within the Word of God. Accepting the pain of the cut which is meant to discipline.

Revelation 3:19-21 – I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference. 20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. 21 Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.

Do you feel pain, discomfort, sorrow over your sinful actions? I know I do, and I stive to end them, through prayer and supplication. We all have a sin nature that stays within us. Paul showed this in the verses in Romans and Galatians. Yet as you have seen within the New Testament the letters between the book of Acts and Tribulation are written to those that have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. Time and again the words “do not sin” are seen over and over. So, if salvation can never be removed why bothers saying this? But enough of this for now.

When wearing the Armor of God, we also follow the Holy Spirit. Therefore, when we do this, we bear this fruit shown in Galatians:

Galatians 5:22-23 – But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

We have to live two lives. One on a spiritual level which is why we need to wear armor. The other is needed to show the world the love that God has for all of humanity.

This is a concept that many get confused about, especially those that embrace the “once saved always saved” concept. God loves every single human, be they sinner or saint. How can we help others to know God if we allow ourselves to be like those of the world?

The answer is we can’t.

That is why people look down upon those that believe in Christ. They see those that do this as ignorant and simple. Those that know God through our Savior Jesus Christ do not see them as lesser if we truly follow the teachings within the Bible. We see them as equals, worthy to be added to the family. All we must do is accept that they truly are and allow them the time they need to come to this conclusion themselves. How this is accomplished is by following the ways the Holy Spirit guides us to do so. Those things which bear the fruit of Galatians 5:22-23.

Our true battles are spiritual, which is why we need the full armor of God. By knowing the Word of God, we wear the helmet and carry the sword, which can cut the souls of those that believe they do not need God, as well as cause those that are already within the fold to learn through pain that they have failed our Creator.

Proverbs 13:24 – He who spares his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him promptly.

In Luke 16 Jesus explains that we are to seek to befriend and live peaceably with those that deny Him and His Father. One statement is made after this teaching:

Luke 16:14-15 – The Pharisees, who dearly loved their money, heard all this and scoffed at him. 15 Then he said to them, “You like to appear righteous in public, but God knows your hearts. What this world honors is detestable in the sight of God.

What does the world honor, which is referred to as something the Pharisees dearly loved?

Those that seek after wealth, that seek after the best the most expensive. The most luxurious, that which causes the world to be envious of those that do this. In reality it is seen as detestable to God.

Luke 16:15 – And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

Abomination – G946 – bdelugma – a detestation, that is, (specifically) idolatry, an abominable thing, an accursed thing

Those that seek after riches are seen as an abomination to the Lord our God. The Glorified Jesus Christ dictated a letter to them:

Revelation 3:14-22 – “Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen—the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s creation: 15 “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. 19 I correct and discipline everyone I love. 22 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.”

Discussion

“I shouldn’t have to give up my worldly possessions.”

“I have earned this car for it is my reward for serving God.”

“My house is my home, and I can keep it and all my worldly goods.”

These are the excuses I encounter nearly daily for those that profess to being “Christian.”

One of the greatest hindrances in following Christ is the self and the desire to hold onto to this temporal existence, this world we now live in. I have done studies on this in four of my podcasts. #13-15 entitled the “Many faces of the selfish god,” and episode #50 entitled “Selfishness.”

One of the definitions from the Cambridge Dictionary says this about the “self”

“Interest only in your own advantage.”

Your OWN advantage.

The Bible says this about that type of mentality:

Exodus 20:3 – “You must not have any other god but me.

Philippians 2:3-5 – Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. 5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

I have found one of the greatest signs within the Body of Christ that people are still worshiping themselves, instead of God, is their insistence to show or talk about the fact that God loves them and posting only the verses that make the “self” feel better about themselves.

Yes, God does love you. In fact, He loves ALL of humanity. So how does that make you different than any other human. Be they sinner or saint? That answer: absolutely nothing.

So why do people keep insisting, once they have accepted Christ as their Savior, that they are loved and must feel good about themselves?

We return to the definition of the self. They are only interested in their own advantage. What is the definition of “advantage?”

A condition giving a greater chance of success. Once again per Cambridge Dictionary.

Did they not accept Jesus Christ as their Savior?

I will allow those reading or listening a chance to ponder that question.

Then they have already succeeded if they have.

Then why focus so much upon the love of God and daily reassurances which makes them feel good?

If they have already triumphed why continue to focus upon God’s love?

The answer?

Hebrews 10:26-29 – Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. 27 There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies. 28 For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us.

Their focus on His love is so they can continue to believe they are covered by the very blood they have tainted, by insisting upon keeping or getting expensive items, like a huge house, a fancy car, and other luxuries. Amongst other sins as well.

Once we accept salvation and we are filled with the Holy Ghost. That spirit dwells within us.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

Therefore, if someone has the Holy Spirit within them because they are a child of God by accepting salvation and then being filled with the Holy Ghost. Yet continues to live for themselves and do as they please, because of free-will, and what makes them feel good. Including living in sins which we are told to end within our lives (James 4:17), are we not defiling God?

Again, I will allow the reader or listener to ponder.

Let us look to Galatians.

First, we need to establish some facts about those inside the church within the province of Galatia.

Galatians 1:6-7 – I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News 7 but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ.

“Turning away so soon from God, who called you to Himself through the loving mercy of Christ.”

Aka they were saved and born again, yet they abandoned the true Word of God, for a false one.

Do we have a clue as to the type of false message?

Yes, we do:

Galatians 1:10 – Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.

It was a message which twisted the truth for something that was only “pleasing people.”

They seek to hear just how great they are because they follow “God,” and believe they are special and loved.

One of the greatest things that pleases people is to continually hear that they are loved no matter what and that they can keep their worldly possessions. This spoils the “child.”

Proverbs 13:24 – He who spares his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him promptly.

A message of love, love, love and daily comfort. This is a false and destructive teaching and mentality. It spoils the person that accepts it for they have no desire to face the conviction of their sins. The discipline that all He loves must suffer through to become closer to Him through His Son our Savior Jesus Christ. This is shown in the people in Galatia that were following what the “self” desired not the Word of God, thus the rod, as is witnessed here:

Galatians 5:16-21 – So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives.

An important statement is made here:

Galatians 5:18 – But when you are directed by the Spirit, you are not under obligation to the law of Moses.

Let’s look at this in the KJV:

Galatians 5:18 – But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

If we follow the Holy Spirit, we are well within the teachings of the Bible. However, if we continue to live in sin, we are placed under the laws given to Moses (1 Timothy 1:9).

The Bible also says this:

Romans 6:12-14 – Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. 13 Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. 14 Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.

And:

Romans 7:7-13 – Well then, am I suggesting that the law of God is sinful? Of course not! In fact, it was the law that showed me my sin. I would never have known that coveting is wrong if the law had not said, “You must not covet.” 8 But sin used this command to arouse all kinds of covetous desires within me! If there were no law, sin would not have that power. 9 At one time I lived without understanding the law. But when I learned the command not to covet, for instance, the power of sin came to life, 10 and I died. So I discovered that the law’s commands, which were supposed to bring life, brought spiritual death instead. 11 Sin took advantage of those commands and deceived me; it used the commands to kill me. 12 But still, the law itself is holy, and its commands are holy and right and good. 13 But how can that be? Did the law, which is good, cause my death? Of course not! Sin used what was good to bring about my condemnation to death. So we can see how terrible sin really is. It uses God’s good commands for its own evil purposes.

When we know the Bible, we know how to live and act, so the fact that God loves us is a given and does not need to be reiterated over and over and over.

This verifies that those that insist upon repeating God’s love for us, or platitudes about how perfect we are in Christ. They are most likely wishing to live in sin more than serving God through our Savior Jesus Christ with the aid of the Holy Ghost. Which shows that the self is their true god and not He who Created all of humanity, whom God does truly and completely love (1 Timothy 2:1-6). Which is why He wishes all to come to salvation through Christ Jesus. To live our lives with the help of our comforter, the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-26 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

By showing love to others, which is living in the Spirit. We show the love that God has for everyone. Always speaking of His love does not truly focus our mind, soul and heart on God, but upon those demanding this attention to know they are loved. Consequently, they can keep living in a sin they know in their soul they are committing. Including living for and in earthly treasures.

This is why Christ said this about those that draw attention to themselves during His Sermon of the mount:

Matthew 6:1-7 – “Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. 2 When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. 3 But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. 4 Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. 5 “When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them.

This goes for speaking in tongues as well (1 Corinthians 14:1-40). Yes, seek to speak in tongues but keep it between you and God. Unless you fit the criteria established in 1 Corinthians 14 for prophecy.

As I stated earlier, but it is needed to be said again. God loves All of humanity. Stop dwelling upon His love for you and start learning the Bible, to show YOUR love for Him and your fellow humans. Any who truly knows they are saved knows they are loved. Why? Because Christ died upon the cross (John 3:16).

When someone continually bring up the fact that God loves them. They continually place Christ upon that cross. What does this really imply about those that do this?

Hebrews 6:4-6 – For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come— 6 and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.

Before we conclude today’s study. We will return to Philippians chapter 2:

Philippians 2:3 – Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. (NKJV)

In the original KJV this verse goes like this:

Philippians 2:3 – Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Strife – 2052 – eritheia – ambition, rivalry, self-seeking; a feud, faction.

a: ambition – a strong wish to achieve something

Ambition is much like advantage which we defined earlier.

Vainglory – 2754 – kenodoxia – empty pride, self-conceit

a: conceit – the state of being too proud of yourself and your actions

these two words together equal “ego”

ego – an inflated feeling of pride in your superiority to others.

We are told in this verse to think of others as better than ourselves. Simply to be humble.

Humble – marked by meekness or modesty; not arrogant or prideful

a: meekness – the quality of being quiet, gentle, and unwilling to argue or express your opinions.

What this boils down to is surrendering the self. Doing nothing for ourselves. Seeking nothing for ourselves. This includes seeking after worldly rewards and comforts. Once someone disagrees with this, they are allowing the “self” the “ego” to be who they really are. A worshipper of themselves, not God through our Savior Jesus Christ.

I leave this said for you the listener and reader to contemplate.

Think and ponder.
