slavation

“I asked Jesus into my heart so I am going to heaven!”

These words are spoken by many. The sad thing is, it is the furthest thing from the truth.
You see, most do not understand what it means to accept true “Christianity.”
This is why this was written in 2 Peter:
20 And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. 21 It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life. 22 They prove the truth of this proverb: “A dog returns to its vomit.” And another says, “A washed pig returns to the mud.”
Now what does it mean to “then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again?” It is self-explanatory. They get saved. Say those words in this title and then just go back to living their lives as they have always lived them, in sin.
And it is here that someone will protest: “But, I am saved, and you can’t take that from me!”
I am not, you are. Yes, you, yourself are taking your own salvation from yourself. For no one else can. Do you read the Bible and come to learn the true meaning of turning and following Jesus Christ? Do you know that if you cling tightly to a sin and refuse to reject it, it is that very sin that is your god and master? Not, Jesus or His Father.
A prime, and today, a very visible example of this: Those who live in Homosexuality, be they male or female. They claim to be “Christian,” and some even rise up to a place of power within places that call themselves “churches.” Yet this is what the Bible says about those that live in this sin.
1 Corinthians 6:9 – Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.
If they will not make it into heaven, and then the eternal life that is beyond heaven. Then they are not “Christian.” This is stated clearly within the Bible. But, as I said this is a very visible example. As you look at the verse above you also see listed other sins. Greedy people, thieves, abusers, those that worship idols like sports, music and movie celebrities. These are just examples. There are others sins with this same promise in other books. Why they are not all listed together is due to those that were most prevalent in these cities the letters were written to. However, one which was usually listed was homosexuality. I am sorry, but these are the facts taught within the Bible, and try as hard as you wish to change this, the Word of God is unchangeable. For, as many wish to now believe, the Bible even though penned by humans, was not written by humans.
2 Timothy 3:14 – But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. 15 You have been taught the Holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
We are required to repent:
Matthew 4:17 – From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”
Repent – metanoeo – “think differently after,” “after a change of mind”; to repent (literally, “think differently afterwards”).
If someone asks Jesus into their heart and to be their Savior, then they will think differently. They will call a sin a sin, No matter what sin it is. Then when they commit this sin themselves, they will feel remorse, sorrow and they will hurt emotionally inside. They will do their best to turn from this sin. They will strive to overcome its control over them. They will pray for forgiveness, they will plead for God for help to tear that sin from within them.
How do I know this? For this is how I feel when I sin.
No one is perfect. We all will sin. I personally will only belief I have done right when I stand before the Throne of God and I am wearing white robes. Until then I strive to follow the teachings of the Bible. To do as the Bible commands me to do, which is to write this blog as my ministry (2 Timothy 4:1-5).
I wish all to get into heaven and then enter into the eternal life. However, for this to happen. People need to come to the realization, that you just can’t say the words of this title and think all is fine and great. Then they will stand before God in white robes as well. That is why they need to think for themselves and not take the word of other humans, even my words. They must study the Bible and come to terms with those verse that list sins and make it clear that those that partake of these sins are not welcome in the eternal life that is soon to come.
I pray you take my words to heart and come to a true understanding and acceptance that God and His Son are real and that the Word of God is set in stone and cannot be change, just because humans wish it to change. With true repentance come great sorrow and pain. This pain comes from learning it is not our will, but Gods that must be done. That we are not the center of our lives, but it is God that is the center. That it is God that we must obey and follow, no matter the cost to us personally.

Discussion
Today I will take a different tacked. As I have established in the first lesson I did in these podcasts. The four part series “Who are the ‘lukewarm?’” Our salvation is not guaranteed. If this bothers you please refer to those podcast and review and study the Bible verses that are shown within that series. Due to the foundation I established in that series I have felt led to do the teaching we will be addressing now.
As I was studying 1 Thessalonians once again. It struck me just how distressed Paul was over those within Thessalonica that had come to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. Why be so upset over them. Why worry?
This is why:
1 Thessalonians 3: 7 – So we have been greatly encouraged in the midst of our troubles and suffering, dear brothers and sisters, because you have remained strong in your faith.
“Because you have remained strong in your faith.”
Why such worry over these people who accepted Jesus as their Savior? They’re saved. They are children of God. They are Christians. Their fine now. They are blessed for the rest of eternity.
Why did I make those statements? That is the mentality throughout those that live within what is called the Christian church on mass throughout the world, in most churches.
These people were saved. They were born again to the new spirit through the filling of the Holy Spirit into them. As established in 1 Thessalonians 4:8. Yet early in this chapter Paul says this:
3 – God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. 4 Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor—5 not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways. 6 Never harm or cheat a fellow believer in this matter by violating his wife, for the Lord avenges all such sins, as we have solemnly warned you before. 7 God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives. 8 Therefore, anyone who refuses to live by these rules is not disobeying human teaching but is rejecting God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.
Why do we need to control our own body? As I have established we are an active member in the relationship we have with God though His Son the Lord Jesus Christ. If we do not do our part in the relationship then we will fall into the realm of the lukewarm and thus in time lose our salvation. Again if you wish to challenge this please listen to the first lesson in these podcasts.
We now come to the main topic of today’s podcast.
Jude 1:3 – Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people. 4 I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Now for the KJV of verse 3
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
That ye should earnestly contend – G1864 – epagonizomai – to struggle for [Strong’s]
a – struggle – to experience difficulty and make a very great effort in order to do something: [Cambridge Dictionary]
We are to make a great effort to keep our salvation. This fortifies that our salvation is not guaranteed and something that we must labor to keep. You just can’t say, “I have accepted Jesus as my Savior” then go about your life the same as you did before asking Jesus to be your Savior. To be honest odds are in favor you actually weren’t saved.
Why do I say this?
I was an expert at lying. I could tell the best most complex lies and you would actually belief that I was telling you the truth.
When I accepted Jesus as my Savior I was in a Pentecostal church during a revival. I actually felt a tickling sensation that started at the tip of my head and slowing proceeded throughout my body all the way to my toes. I was filled with the Holy Spirit. I know this without question or doubt.
One way I knew. After that I couldn’t tell the massive lies I use to tell. It just wasn’t even in me to try. There were other external confirmations. One, the person I knew myself to be before I hit puberty returned. The anger and temper that was in me was not totally gone but diminished to a level that it became extremely hard to provoke me.
I became a new person. If someone asks Jesus Christ to be their Savior and yet they go about acting exactly the same. What evidence is there of their change? There is none. Then are they truly saved? That is not for me to say. Paul did say this about his transformation:
1 Timothy 1: 15 – This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all. 16 But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.
Both Paul and I changed from one being to another. Then if you changed you were saved. At that point you should have been baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ. Not the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Jesus. Does this forfeit your salvation? No, however it does weaken you and open you up into falling into a lukewarm existence.
What are your priorities?
Do you seek after a house? Do you seek after wealth? Do you seek after worldly things, items, and people’s attention?
Do you seek after knowledge from the Bible? Do you seek to have a better relationship with God through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ? Has your empathy increased or even come into being? Do you have the desire to find a way to serve God in some form or manner?
Do you see the differences in these two paragraphs?
My thirst for knowledge from the Bible amplified. My desire to know God better and to understand Him became something that drove me at times. Yes I had my ups and downs. Why this happened was because I was doing all this mainly on my own. I had no elders teaching me. I was all alone. I stumbled and I failed and then I got up again and tried again.
My entire reason I started these podcast was to help those that have become the lukewarm. For I was a lukewarm. I know without any doubt that I came extremely close to losing me salvation. I know that I was being pulled into the black pit of darkness I once dreamed about. In this pit as I fell and fell within it was that there were those that believed they were Christian, yet they were falling in the darkness as I was. Falling. Falling toward an ever moving mass within a dull reddish light below me that became barely visible only after I had been falling for some time. When I landed sometime later I was surrounded by naked people all miserable and aware that they had fallen for the lies given to them by the king of liars.
I never want anyone to experience that as a reality. For once it happens to someone, their best hope is to get passed the Great White Throne Judgement, but don’t get your hopes up as was stated here:
21“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ Mathew 7:21-23

God Bless

A child’s mistakes

I was reading the other day where someone talked to Dobson about Trump’s “recent” acceptance of Christ as his Savior.
One sentence just got a hold of me and I have not been able to shake it.
“He is a babe in his faith.” I maybe paraphrasing this, but this was the point Dobson was making about Trump not appearing to act like a Christian.
Why it bothers me is this. The Bible makes it clear that when you accept Christ as your Savior your entire “self” changes. Is it a 100% change overnight? In most cases no it is not. I myself have been growing in my faith for thirty-one years, but I did make every effort to reflect my faith in Christ as best I could. Was I right in some of my perceptions of how someone should act and behave once saved? The answer is the simplest of all. No.
Why?
Because I was taking my faith and how it should appear by what I heard from humanity and not from the Bible. This a failing that most that call themselves “Christian” are now living themselves. They are living a life that is not Biblical and so in not truly “Christian.” That is why we now live in the era of the lukewarm. That is why those with eyes see and those with ears hear what is true and see the errors thousands if not millions that call themselves “Christian” are suffering from.
In the piece I read Dobson made no statement on how he is helping Trump to grow in his supposed new found faith. In fact from the way it was described Dobson had heard the confession to follow Christ as a second-hand statement. He himself never heard Trump ever confess his salvation to him in person.
Once in the courts this would not even be allowed. This was when the law meant something in this nation.
So why didn’t Dobson stand up to the plate and offer to take Trump under his wing and offer to guide him in learning how to grow in his faith? He could have, but the article did not mention it. This, however, is the problem with many in today’s clergy. They ask people to accept Christ, but it is extremely rare to see them guide them through these newborn steps toward an understanding of their new found belief that Christ is their Savior. Yet this is exactly what the Bible states MUST be done and it is to be done by church leaders, for if it does not these newborn babes in Christ falter and fall away truly becoming the lukewarm. A class of faith that is worse than the denial that there even is a God.
This is the very reason it took me nearly most of this last thirty-one years to reach a place that I feel I am on a solid foundation of the scripture and understanding in context the true message of Jesus Christ my Savior. This is why we now live in a time where there are more lukewarm than true and solid people that when they call themselves “Christian” it would be a reality, not a word spoken that has no meaning even to those that profess they are. Unaware of their own blindness to the true concepts of the teachings of Christ, which state clearly that you must place all others before yourself as an example.
Most that call themselves parents strive for the most part to guide and scold their children when required so that they grow into an adult to be proud of. That is the desire of Jesus Christ for those that ask Him into their hearts. Yet I see no true growth in Trump at this time. I still see the lies and the misguided statements that remind me more of a “Democrat” than of a “Republican.”
Now there are those asking why I had to mention the Democratic Party. That is simple. They removed during a previous convention the very mention of God from their platform. They have officially rejected that there is a God. Is it possible that one day the Republican Party may do the same? This could happen.
Why do I think this?
Because people no longer read the Bible. A majority take the words of other humans and accept that they are telling them the truth. Why? Because they have a title or a degree that says you must listen to their words for they have studied and learned the Bible. Since they have spent so much time studying how can they be wrong. Yet they are wrong. This is shown in the mere fact that there are so many factions within the “Church” itself. If we all knew the Bible we there would be no Baptist, no Catholics, no Presbyterians, there would be just Christians of one mind and one body.
That is why the Bible says we must learn the word of God ourselves and never to take the word of others at face value, but to confirm that what they say is true and accurate. This is how a child in their faith can grow into a spiritual adulthood. They need a mentor, they need to be instructed in the correct ways to learn the word of God and then when they make errors, which we all do and will continue to do till we are called into heaven, they will be corrected. Either in a calm and gentle manner or if need be scolded when they do something that is totally opposite the true teaching of the Bible which many do. An example of this would be getting a speeding ticket. For when you speed you are in violation of Titus 3:1. Yet people will say: “I was going with the flow of traffic.” So they were going along with other humans that are breaking the word of God as well and this is their justification for disobeying God? Yea I don’t see that holding up well when they stand before God one day.
This is why they need to read the King James Bible for it is the closest to the original message that was finished being penned 1900 years ago. Then we should strive to learn the original meaning of the words in Hebrew and Greek with the aid of Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, which can be found online by the way. This is how someone grows in their faith.
Yet it is not just knowledge of the word of God, but it is applying it to everyday life. It has been said that the best study of the Bible is Satan himself. This is extremely true. You can know the word of God from cover to cover but if you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ than all your knowledge means nothing on that day you stand before God and His son.
Ponder and think upon these facts.
