Discussion
Last week we started the case against those that profess to being “Christian.” That go to church on Sunday. Yet they live or seek after large houses. They seek fancy vehicles. They seek after and gather possessions.
Many that do this believe they are special, exempt, chosen. (Romans 2:11) Many even act haughty because they are rich and important in their own eyes. (Romans 12:16)
The Verdict.
As was established last week most of these that live this way are false Christians. The case was proven through the Word of God not by hearsay or conjecture. However, there will be those that still wish to throw out the “you are judging” card.
So, let’s go to a judgement. The ultimate judgement. The judgment for all those that missed the rapture, which will be most that now profess to being “Christian” at this very time. As well as the millions that have passed from this earth over the last two thousand years that also professed this very belief as well.
Revelation 20:11-15 NKJV – Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
How are those that stand before the judgement tried?
“And books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.”
“And the dead were judged according to the their works.”
Works – G2041 – ergon – work, task, employment; action; that which is wrought or made, a work. Toil (as an effort or occupation), by implication an act, deed, doing, labor.
Also, note what is said in Roman 2 for those that profess to being “Christian.”
Romans 2:5-11 NKJV – But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who “WILL RENDER TO EACH ONE ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS”: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God.
“Will render to each one according to his deeds.”
As we read and heard in the definition of the word “works.” The word “deeds” is within the definition. Therefore, any who say works is not a requirement for salvation are calling the Judge that sits in the Great White Throne a liar. This accusation by the way counts as an action, a deed, works, against the Judge.
Any who calls the Judge a liar works for the father of all lies. But then Jesus Christ knew that and called out those that worked for their father.
John 8:44 NKJV – You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
This is an item within the books that is used to convict those that think their name is written in the Book of Life. This is why Jesus said these words:
Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV – “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
They think they served God through Jesus Christ. However, they received earthly rewards, and in most cases, they teach others not to follow the commandments of Christ. Thus, making them those that practice lawlessness.
John 14:15 NKJV – “If you love Me, keep My commandments.
Therefore, since they are not known to Jesus Christ and so defy him. Who is it that rewards with earthly rewards?
Luke 4:6 NKJV – And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.
These are written in their book of their life’s works and is used against them. In the trial before the Great White Throne.
However, once they have been vomited out of the Body of Christ their name is no longer written in the Book of Life. As is witnessed again from the Word of God:
Revelation 3:1-5 NKJV – “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
“I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.”
And.
“He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life.”
“Blot out his name from the Book of Life.”
Through their works they are seen as dead, otherwise known as removed from the Book of Life. Murdered by Satan by rewarding them with earthly rewards which rot and rust away.
Many will protest and become angry at these words. Those that do this add more to the books which document their works, which will be read before the Great White Throne. Why will their protest and anger be used against them?
Galatians 5:19-21 NKJV – Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
“Those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Again the verdict is given from the Word of God.
In another book in the NT the verdict is given out that will be passed down on the great day of judgement before the Great White Throne:
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 NKJV – Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
Time is very quickly running out. The first rapture is due any time. Only those that live a needs-only lifestyle and do their best to spread the True Word of God, as well as helping those in need with their earthly riches will see the kingdom of Heaven. This is made very clear within Christ’s teachings.
It is now that change and true repentance must come. For without doing so those that reject these Truths pass judgement upon themselves as it has always been and always will. By their own works as is make very clear within the Bible.
For only by faith and works do we show loyalty to God through Jesus Christ.
James 2:26 NKJV – For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
God Bless
