What is required to deny Christ?

Let us look at the verses of Timothy:

1 Timothy 6:3-5 – If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, 4 he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, 5 useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.

“Even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

In a recent discussion I showed the Words of the Glorified Jesus Christ from Revelation. However, this is not the time to go to that point but to show another aspect of those that were followers of Jesus then turned their backs upon Him.

Titus 1:10-16 – For there are many rebellious people who engage in useless talk and deceive others. This is especially true of those who insist on circumcision for salvation. 11 They must be silenced, because they are turning whole families away from the truth by their false teaching. And they do it only for money. 12 Even one of their own men, a prophet from Crete, has said about them, “The people of Crete are all liars, cruel animals, and lazy gluttons.” 13 This is true. So reprimand them sternly to make them strong in the faith. 14 They must stop listening to Jewish myths and the commands of people who have turned away from the truth. 15 Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted. 16 Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.

Now it is time to go to the words of the Glorified Jesus Christ. In particular the letter to the church of Sardis.

Revelation 3:1-6 – “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. 6 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ‘

Now before I get into why these words for Jesus Christ caused issue. We have to come to an understanding,

These seven churches have seven angels assigned to watch over them. Watching over them is Jesus Christ. We also know that these churches were established within sixty years after the resurrection of our Lord and Savior.

Be it Paul or John who established it is of no concern. However, what is of concern is due to the point that these churches were made soon after Christ’s ascension leads to an important state for these churches. The people that made up these churches has been taught the Good News by someone that knew the Truth. These people were baptized after accepting Christ as their Savior and they were filled with the Holy Spirit.

How can this be said?

Because Paul and John would have made sure it was done.

So, these seven churches were originally full followers of the Truth of Jesus Christ.

Yet now they have fallen away. They have drifted from the Truth. Even though Galatia was not one of these seven churches look at the opening segment of that letter to see my point:

Galatians 1:6-7 – I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News 7 but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ.

These people were also baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit as attested to by these words:

Galatians 1:6 – I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel,

“From Him who called you in the grace of Christ.”

So, these people were “Christian” just as those of the seven churches were.

So let us re-read the letter to Sardis and keep in mind that these people had been originally saved:

I was led through pray and study, by the Holy Spirit to identify those of the modern-day church of Sardis as those that follow the teaching of “Once saved always saved.” This is the main people to which I was led to reference, but I have seen that there are multiple groups out there that follow false teachings. Yet within them are those that are truly followers of Jesus Christ.

And right there some new folks just got upset and angry.

When you work from the flesh it is shown in visible signs that can be seen:

Galatians 5:19-21 – Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

…. Hatred, contention, …. outburst of wrath…… dissension ….. heresies

A better translation of the words is hostility, quarreling, outburst of anger, dissension and division. Which many rejecting what I just stated a few moments ago have just displayed.

We are instructed by the Bible to do this:

2 Timothy 4:2 – Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

I know firsthand that the false teaching of “once saved always saved” is false. I will tell you the story from my own life.

I knew someone that was Baptist and with all their heart testified that they were Christian. They believed their salvation could never be lost. Yet at the very same time they practiced witchcraft.

Note Galatians 5:20… the second word in that verse is “sorcery” which is stated to be works of the flesh. Also note the last 7 words of verse twenty-one:

“Will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

So, which is it?

Oh, they were never saved in the first place someone just said. I refer them to the Bible:

Romans 10:9 – that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

So, again I say: which is it?

Jesus Christ Himself said this in the gospel of John:

John 15:1-6 – “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

“I am the vine you are the branches.” None can be a branch unless they are one with Christ. This comes through salvation. Yet this is also said:

“If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.”

They are removed from the Vine who is Christ. Their salvation is revoked, and even worse than that they are thrown in the fire.

They are cast into damnation.

These are the words of Jesus Christ who also said this:

“He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life.”

Due to free-will we have a choice in our salvation. if we overcome and chose to follow Christ, He will not remove our names from the Book of Life.

The implication is crystal clear. If someone choses to stay in sin, their name is removed from the Book of Life. Their salvation is removed.

Therefore, per Christ Himself there is no such thing as “once saved always saved.” Any who insist that this is a lie just called Jesus Christ a liar. In simpler terms they just denied Jesus Christ. What does He say about those that deny Him?

Matthew 10:33 – But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

If someone is denied to the Father by the Son, then they have lost their salvation.

Do you see the theme of this message.

To live in denial is to deny Jesus Christ.

It is time to face the truth. It is time to face facts. Jesus Christ is soon to return. The Tribulation is soon to start. I already know most will reject this message. For the Bible makes that very clear. I know that those that listen will be allowed into the marriage feast. But those that continue to reject the Truth found within the Bible will be pounding upon the door and Christ Himself will shout out to them.

Matthew 25:12 – But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

This first rapture will be very small. For three and a half years those that have embraced the false teachings like “once saved always saved” will have to suffer the torments that occur in that time frame. But those that overcome will be clad in white garments:

Revelation 7:9-14 – After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.” 13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?” 14 And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

God Bless

HOW THINGS ARE:

The daily live of an ordinary human:

They get up. They go into the world and to seek to make a living. Now in the way we live in the world today the book of Ephesians applies to the world at large:

Ephesians 6:5-9 – Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. 6 Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart. 7 Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. 8 Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free. 9 Masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Don’t threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.

Let’s rephrase that for today so you the listener or reader will understand:

Employees, obey your employers with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart. Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free. Employers, treat your employees in the same way. Don’t threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.

We shouldn’t seek to leave the world, for we are to be a light unto the world. Showing them the true path to salvation. The problem is. Most that profess to being “Christian” do not know the truth. They do not truly know how they are to live a Christian lifestyle. They think they do, but they truly don’t.

This is seen in many places within the Bible and from Christ Himself… a prime example:

Matthew 6:19-24 – “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. 21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. 22 “Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light. 23 But when your eye is unhealthy, your whole body is filled with darkness. And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is! 24 “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.

Most ignore this. Not wanting to come to terms with it. Not seeing that their eyes are unhealthy. They don’t understand that God already knew when His Son walked this earth that we humans would be living the lives we are living today. Slaves to a money system to receive our daily bread. However, in many countries this has caused them, in a way to be rich.

WHAT IS REQUIRED:

With this in mind, God guided those that wrote the gospels to three times repeat the same story, yet again many reject what this story means to them personally.

Mark 10:17-22 – As Jesus was starting out on his way to Jerusalem, a man came running up to him, knelt down, and asked, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked. “Only God is truly good. 19 But to answer your question, you know the commandments: ‘You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. You must not cheat anyone. Honor your father and mother.’” 20 “Teacher,” the man replied, “I’ve obeyed all these commandments since I was young.” 21 Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” 22 At this the man’s face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions.

When we accept Christ as our Savior we are given specific instructions on how we are to prove our fellowship to Him.

  1. Obey the commandments (All of them. This is not just the ten, but all taught in the books of Deuteronomy and Leviticus that were not overridden by Christ dying upon the cross.)
  2. Sell off our possessions. Why?

1 John 2:15-17 – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

You see when we seek after what is of this earth, we do not follow God nor His Son, but our own wants and desires. If we seek after what gives us comfort, we do not seek after God, but what is pleasing to ourselves. Our god is no longer the Creator of us all, but ourselves.

The Bible makes it clear what we are to do, to be His true and devoted followers. We are to sell off our possessions. We are to downsize. We are to get rid of debt, and to have money ready at hand to give to those in need. As shown here:

2 Corinthians 9:6-13 – Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. 7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 9 As the Scriptures say, “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.” 10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. 11 Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. 12 So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God. 13 As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ.

“For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ.”

You cannot do this in a huge house. You can not do this is a new car. You cannot do this in fancy clothes.

Therefore, we must downsize to show our conformity to the wishes of He who died upon the cross for our sins. Once we accept Christ as our Savior, He makes it clear that we are to do as He says, especially if it is said three times.

2 Corinthians 13:1 – This is the third time I am coming to visit you (and as the Scriptures say, “The facts of every case must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses”).

Most will be scoffing at this. The mere fact that they did is itself verification…. Look how the Pharisees responded:

Luke 16:14-17 – The Pharisees, who dearly loved their money, heard all this and scoffed at him. 15 Then he said to them, “You like to appear righteous in public, but God knows your hearts. What this world honors is detestable in the sight of God. 16 “Until John the Baptist, the law of Moses and the messages of the prophets were your guides. But now the Good News of the Kingdom of God is preached, and everyone is eager to get in. 17 But that doesn’t mean that the law has lost its force. It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the smallest point of God’s law to be overturned.

So why question what has been shown here?

Because they do not wish to let go of their comforts. They do not wish to let go of their true god…. themselves. Take a key element that Christ states in His words to the Pharisees.

“What this world honors is detestable in the sight of God.”

Does the world honor seeking after the best? The biggest? The most expensive? The most beautiful?

Yes. Yes. Yes. And yes.

Then those that seek after it are seen by God Himself as detestable.

Yet they call themselves “Christian.” They call themselves “saved.” They call themselves “born again.”

Yet God just called them detestable.

How can they be right with Christ if He sees them as detestable?

I will allow those listening to make that call for themselves. For it is each person’s own choice as to how they will stand before God. Either in robes of white or as a defendant in their eternal trail which will occur before the Great White Throne.

Matthew 7:21-23 – “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

As I have established before none cast out demons unless they are a follower of Christ as established in Matthew 12:

Matthew 12:25-32 – Jesus knew their thoughts and replied, “Any kingdom divided by civil war is doomed. A town or family splintered by feuding will fall apart. 26 And if Satan is casting out Satan, he is divided and fighting against himself. His own kingdom will not survive. 27 And if I am empowered by Satan, what about your own exorcists? They cast out demons, too, so they will condemn you for what you have said. 28 But if I am casting out demons by the Spirit of God, then the Kingdom of God has arrived among you. 29 For who is powerful enough to enter the house of a strong man and plunder his goods? Only someone even stronger—someone who could tie him up and then plunder his house. 30 “Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me. 31 “So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come.

Again, there is a key statement made by Jesus Christ right here:

“Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.”

Those that do not downsize. That keep their wealth, their huge houses, their fancy cars. Their golf clubs, their box seats at football stadiums. Their bright and fancy clothes. They are against Christ. They are against God. They are seen as detestable in the sight of the Lord.

Christ is soon to return. Repent. Downsize. Glorify God.

God Bless.

Discussion

When people become aware that they may have learned something incorrectly from what they heard about the Bible. They sometime become fearful, and at times angry or aggressive. They especially do this if it goes to the root of what they believe to be truth, but the Bible itself says otherwise.

When I was studying the twenty-third chapter of Matthew. The Holy Spirit caused me to focus in on the following verses:

Matthew 23:13-15 – “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. 14 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation. 15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.

Let us look more closely at these verses:

Matthew 23:13 – But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

It is made clear that those that are within a group that teaches a false doctrine will, to the point of force, stop someone who has seen the truth. They will attack and fight to keep what they feel is “truth.” Not allowing any others to find the real Truth and find their way into the presence of God through Jesus Christ.

They will be argumentative coarse and even arrogant. We are instructed this on those that behave in such a manner:

1 Timothy 6:3-5 – If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, 4 he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, 5 useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.

One of the major keys in these verses that were just read is these words:

“Even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Those that cling to false doctrine deny the words spoken by Jesus Christ Himself. Do you understand the import of that statement?

Matthew 10:33 – But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

Does this not go with what the Pharisees were doing? I will allow you the read or listener to come to your own conclusion.

Matthew 23:14 – Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

This is reference to those that seek after and take money, especially from those that are suffering from lose of a loved one. I have seen many televangelists that partake of these practices and even film the person in sorrow feeling joy and surrendering over the earthly money they need to get a new start in this temporal existence. This in many cases causes them to turn away from God instead of turning towards Him which may lead them not into Heaven, but to have to stand before the Great White Throne. Simply away from the salvation they should have received by seeking after the truth and mayhaps finding it though the trial that God placed them in.

Matthew 23:15 – “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.

This is reference to missionaries that teach false doctrines and believe with all their hearts that they are doing good. They bring many to their verses of “salvation,” then leave the people to their own devices not truly teaching them the Word of God so they falter and fall returning once again to sin. Many believing they are still one with the Lord thus making it worse for themselves then if the missionary had never come to their area and led them down a rosy path to damnation.

2 Peter 2:20-22 – For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. 22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A DOG RETURNS TO HIS OWN VOMIT,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

Now that I have read these three woes. I have been led to take a different approach to those out there that wish to hear those teachings that make the listener feel better about themselves. However, the message does in no way lead them into rejecting the way they live. Again, like the Pharisees.

These woes, though spoken to the Pharisees nearly two thousand years ago, have a new focal point in today’s world. Millions believe with all their hearts that they are one with God. That He is going to call them into heaven just before the tribulation begins.

What is one of the key elements that identified those within the Pharisees and Sadducees. They made up false teachings that echoed the Laws of Moses but in reality, had nothing to do with the Truth of these Laws. They were false laws, forced upon the people to follow.  Yet they themselves for the most part didn’t bother to do so themselves.

Millions walk into the buildings called “churches” and sit in the pews. Millions stand before these people on the dais and tell them they are loved by God. They are told they are special. They are told that they are His select. That they are greater and better because He is their protector. They have their ego’s stroked, but they feel no remorse for their actions. They curse. They speed. They commit adultery. Some even do worse. They live in sins that we are told will not allow them entrance into heaven. Yet they were just told that they are welcomed into heaven. (Matthew 7:21; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesian 5:5)

Understand this.

If the Bible says you cannot get into heaven. Then you cannot get in. If you cannot get in then you are living in a lie if you believe you can.

If this makes you angry. If this makes you upset. You need to stop and think for the Bible says this:

Galatians 5:19-21 – When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Those that do this have just declared to the world that they follow the world and not God.

There is a way around this. Listen to the Truth. Know that living in sins that are clearly shown lead not to heaven but to hell. Know that you must repent. You must end these sins, these lifestyles.

Let me give you a description of the lake of fire before you continue that thought that you would rather go to hell than end living in your current lifestyle:

Isaiah 66:24 – And as they go out, they will see the dead bodies of those who have rebelled against me. For the worms that devour them will never die, and the fire that burns them will never go out. All who pass by will view them with utter horror.”

This is the reality of what it means to live in sin. All those sins that the Bible says will not allow a person entrance into heaven go to this place. This place where fire burns and worms eat upon their flesh will be something they feel every single day of every month of every year for billions upon billions of years.

I don’t say these things out of hate. I say these things out of love for my fellow humans. I wish none to suffer this fate. Yet millions that go into the buildings called “churches” believe with all their heart that they will never experience this. Yet this is the furthest thing from the truth.

It is these people that believe they are exempt from God’s wrath. Just because they go into these buildings and give their tithe and even stand upon the dais. Yet they live in sin. They commit sin. They make people that hate God continue to do so because they see people like this living in sin, in wealth, in luxuries and comfort. Yet there are starving children literally just down the road. Not just starving because they lack food, but because they lack love, and the true teachings of the Bible.

Mark 10:21 – Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

How many believe that their true value is measured upon how wealthy and comfortable they are?

And everyone of them is living in and for sin.

1 John 2:15-16 – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

If someone does not have God in them then they are not of God. If they are not of God then for whom do they truly serve and worship?

2 Corinthians 4:4 – Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

Too many people believe that those being blinded are those that do not call themselves “Christian.” However, the majority of those that do live in this manner go by the aforementioned title and believe they are perfect and glorious.

Only God is perfect and glorious. Only He deserves the glory forever and ever.. Amen

Matthew 6:5 – “When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get.

Why start today’s podcast with this verse?

The other day I was walking through a campground and a lady was outside praying. As I passed her site, apparently, she saw me and started to pray loader. In my head I praised God and His Son our Savior Jesus Christ, but I didn’t even look in her direction.

I prayed to God if I should say anything to her about this and the Holy Spirit told me not to say anything to her, but instead to do this podcast.  So, here we are.

Now why is it I felt the need to even say anything in the first place?

Partly because of 2 Timothy 4:1-5, but also since this is said in verse six of the sixth chapter of Matthew:

Matthew 6:6 – But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

Jesus Christ instructed all who follow Him to pray in private. Not on public display for all the world to see. He also clearly identifies those that do pray in public:

“Don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them.”

Those who openly pray for all the world to see them are identified as “hypocrites.”

By who?

Jesus Christ

What does Christ say next:

“I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get.”

Now this brings up an important element that needs to be looked at. I once again need to quote from 1 John:

1 John 2:15-17 – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

“a craving for everything we see”

1 John 2:16 – For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

“The lust of the eyes”

Lust – G1939 – epithumia – desire, passionate longing, eagerness for, longing

a: longing – a feeling of wanting something or someone very much

eyes – G3788 – ophthalmos – the eye, sight

a: sight – something that is in someone’s view

Simply, it can be said, that it is a great desire to be seen is one of the definitions of this.

Many believe they are right with God if they show all their “great faith.” However, God desires what from us?

Colossians 3:10-17 – Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. 11 In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us. 12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. 16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. 17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

What are the fruit we are to seek to bear?

12 – Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

Colossians 3:12 – Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.

Bowels of mercies – G4698, G3628 – tender mercies

Kindness – G5544 – chréstotés – goodness, uprightness, kindness, gentleness

Humbleness of mind – G5012 – tapeinophrosune – humility, lowliness of mind, modesty

a: humility – the quality of not being proud because you are aware of your bad qualities

Meekness – G4236 – praotés – mildness, gentleness, meekness, kindness

a: meekness – the quality of being quiet, gentle, and unwilling to argue or express your opinions

Longsuffering – G3115 – makrothumia – patience, forbearance

a: – forbearance – the quality of being patient and being able to forgive someone or control yourself in a difficult situation

When praying in public the person doing so is not displaying humility nor are they showing a quality of being quiet. So, in essence they are not bearing fruit for the Lord. They are not placing God foremost in their minds.

Instead, they are causing those about them to look at them. To think about them. To center upon them. Simply to glorify themselves and not God. That is why that is all the reward they shall receive, for it is not something stored in heaven but is displayed here in this temporal plain of existence.

This also applies to those that dance about in churches screaming out “halleluiah,” or shouting out in tongues as we are to seek after per 1 Corinthians 14, but in quiet. Those that do any type of ministry that has their name in the title is another example. Because they are seeking the glory, the focus. We are to glorify only one name, only one being, that is Jesus Christ. When this is not done that is all the reward they are going to get, for they are not showing glory to God, but themselves.

For centuries people have behaved in a certain way. They have been taught to seek after things here in this world. As shown in 1 John 2 this is not Biblical. This is the same thing that happened to Israel. Time and again they would drift away from God. Seeking after things of the world, and what happened to them? Time and again they were punished by God for turning away from Him to themselves. Then finally due to their own selfishness and arrogance they crucified the Son of God. Then just over one generation later the nation of Israel was abolished for nearly 1900 years.

More and more of those that profess to being “Christian” behave in a manner that does not truly bear fruit for God. Recently due to the “vid” we witnessed what could be called a great falling away and per many has not rebounded. However, as I have shown in a past podcast (The Biblical teaching of the mask and also what foods to eat) many went about wearing masks, but if they truly put their faith in God, they wouldn’t wear them. The fact that they wear them shows more self-concern and self-glorification then trusting and giving glory to their Creator. Simply those that professed they were “Christian” and wore or keep wearing masks announced to all the world that they are not.

How many of you listening or reading have truly read Matthew chapter 7?

How many truly followed the train of thought Jesus was presenting to us in that chapter?

Let’s look at it:

Matthew 7:12-23 – “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets. 13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it. 15 “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. 16 You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. 19 So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20 Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions. 21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord!

Now as I have established in the past only those that have accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior can cast out demons as established in Matthew 12:25-30. Consequently, this entire section is Jesus talking about those that at first said they would follow Jesus and so follow the golden rule. They turned from seeking to glorify God to seeking to line their pockets with money as established in 2 Peter 2:1-3. Thus, turning them into Pharisees.

Luke 16:14-15 – Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. 15 And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

Therefore, those that seek after the things of the world like wealth comfort and luxuries, as well as wearing masks are seen by God Himself as an abomination.

Think and ponder, for the hourglass is nearly empty till Christ Jesus’ returns.

God Bless

Discussion

Now I need to restate the title of this podcast.

A person’s worst enemy in their salvation, other than Satan, is themselves.

Yes, you heard and read that correctly.

Before I continue, let us get some Biblical reinforcement:

Hebrews 6:4-6 – For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come— 6 and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.

Now once again there are those listening or reading that are scoffing at what I said, even though I have read the Word of God.

Let that sink in… they think they are scoffing at me, but in reality, they just scoffed at God.

I have been attacked and challenged multiple times over this truth. They have thrown out that I don’t know what I am talking about. They have argued that their way is the only way. They have accused me of judging them.

As to the latter I will say this per the Bible once again:

2 Timothy 4:1-5 – I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he comes to set up his Kingdom: 2 Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. 3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will reject the truth and chase after myths. 5 But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.

But enough foundation. It is time for an anecdote or two.

I now live full-time in an RV as guided by God to reduce my needs upon worldly wealth (Matthew 6:19-24).

It was this last Psalm Sunday and I had just finished shopping at Walmart and was occupied with sorting things out in the RV and getting a quick bite before continuing upon our journey.

Just before I was going to get going. A man pulls in front of my RV making it difficult for me to maneuver to get out of the parking lot. He was driving an expensive pickup with an automatic tailgate. He was also dressed in a suit. Since it was Sunday and shortly after noon, it was obvious he had just come from church.

I got out and confronted him for making it difficult for me to leave.

His retort was that it was a free parking lot.

I said this is a good day to act like a Christian and He stated:” Yes it is.” Implying I was not being Christian in my behavior, which I will concede may be partly true, for I am only human.

I stated That God Loved him and so do I. Then struggled to leave the parking lot, doing my best not to damage anyone’s property.

Christ said this:
Matthew 7:12 – “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.

Additionally, this man made his older friend walk 30 feet carrying a heavy golf bag.

Romans 12:16 – Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

2 Timothy 3:2 – For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Philippians 2:3 – Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

So, this man just came from church and behaved in a haughty selfish and self-serving attitude.

Now you are starting to see the truth within the Bible when it states salvation can be lost:

2 Peter 2:20-22 – And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. 21 It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life. 22 They prove the truth of this proverb: “A dog returns to its vomit.” And another says, “A washed pig returns to the mud.”

God was trying to get this man’s attention. I have prayed that he will eventually hear what God is trying to tell him.

When being a follower of Jesus Christ we are told, we must die to the self. That is why I state that our greatest enemy in our salvation is ourselves.

We are to be humble, placing the other humans before ourselves. The man I made reference to could have parked closer to his friend. Which was very doable. This would have been considerate to his friend carrying the golf bag, and would not have cause me any issues when leaving the parking lot.

The very first commandment is to place no other gods before God.

Too many assume this is a reference to idolatry. This is partly correct.

One thing people have to understand when it comes to understanding Hebrew is that every word has three meanings.

Therefore, we humans placing ourselves before anyone else is calling ourselves “god,” and placing us before our Creator. (Exodus 20:3)

Most in this world do this even if they say they are Christian or not. Thus making themselves their own worst enemy when it comes to seeking after eternal life.

Millions will come to this truth in the worst possible way. They believe themselves to be standing before God ready to be accepted into His presence when the first Rapture occurs.

They instead will find themselves left here in this temporal realm upon that day. Stunned in disbelief, for in their eyes they were Christian. Even though they lived their lives like the Pharisees

Luke 16:14-15 – Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. 15 And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

For they have lived their lives in what is seen as an abomination to God. Seeking only after their own self-glorification. Seeking after expensive pickups for example instead of using that money to spread the Gospel to the world.

1 Timothy 6:17-19 – Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

They shouldn’t be living to play golf or participate in any other activity that will take them away from their service to God. Sporting event, television, movies, etc. etc.

We are all guilty in this regard, we all fall short. For we have not been taught correctly how to be true followers of Jesus Christ. That is why even though through all I do for God I will be very surprised upon that day when the trumpets blow and shouts from heaven are heard and I find myself standing in the presence of God.

Matthew 7:13-14 – “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

An additional part of being your own worst enemy is believing you can live in sin and still be one with God. This is an outright lie given by the god of this world who is identified in this verse:

2 Corinthians 4:4 – Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

He has deceived many.  Promising they can live as they wish in this world. He rewards and encourages them.

Yet Christ made it clear we will receive few if any rewards in this temporal realm. (Matthew 6:19-24) What He does promise us is hardship and pain for the world will hate those that are true to God through Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:10-12 – So I am willing to endure anything if it will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ Jesus to those God has chosen. 11 This is a trustworthy saying: If we die with him, we will also live with him. 12 If we endure hardship, we will reign with him. If we deny him, he will deny us.

For our rewards are not promised in this short temporal existence but in the eternal life that is yet to be:

Matthew 5:11-12 – “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. 12 Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.

Would you rather be a billionaire now or live billions of years with the true wealth of serving the Creator of this universe?

Jeremiah asked these questions:

Jeremiah 12:1 – LORD, you always give me justice when I bring a case before you. So let me bring you this complaint: Why are the wicked so prosperous? Why are evil people so happy?

As mentioned before in 2 Corinthians the answer is due to who is in control of this temporal realm: Satan. It is he who rewards those that live carefree and with wealth in this temporal existence. If you are not persecuted for what you believe or teach, then you are not teaching the Word of God but the lies of Satan. Any living the high life and prospering here in the world, especially if they are hording it for themselves and not sharing it with those in need per 1 Timothy 6:17-19 are not serving God. They are serving themselves as per the example given in today’s study and the ruler of this temporal realm: Satan.

I will close with verses from 1 Timothy 6:

1 Timothy 6:3-10 – Some people may contradict our teaching, but these are the wholesome teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. These teachings promote a godly life. 4 Anyone who teaches something different is arrogant and lacks understanding. Such a person has an unhealthy desire to quibble over the meaning of words. This stirs up arguments ending in jealousy, division, slander, and evil suspicions. 5 These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy. 6 Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. 7 After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. 8 So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. 9 But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

Discussion

One of my greatest realizations that came to me is how many people in this world are really followers of Jesus Christ. Once again, I turn to the Word of God to answer this revelation.

Matthew 7:13-14 – “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

Right this moment someone is saying “halleluiah” to these verses. Believing with all their heart they are amongst those that enter in the narrow gate.

Most likely though, they are sadly mistaken.

Now they are shocked by what they just heard or read.

What right do I have to say this?

Honestly, I have none, but it is not me making this statement. I am following the insights given to me by the Holy Spirit. The comforter sent to us by Jesus Christ through His Father our Creator, God.

Now some further insight into the mentality of God:

Luke 16:14-15 – Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. 15 And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

Simply stated loving money. Seeking after it, luxuries, fancy clothes, expensive cars, seeking status here in the world is seen by God Himself as something that this an abomination. How can I say this?

1 John 2:15-16 – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

Peter says this about those that become born again and then soon after return to the world which they said they were seeking to leave:

2 Peter 2:20-22 – And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. 21 It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life. 22 They prove the truth of this proverb: “A dog returns to its vomit.” And another says, “A washed pig returns to the mud.”

Right now, the ones that got upset that their salvation may be in question are now even more upset. They are getting angry at me. However, I have shown Bible verses. The Word of God. It is not me, but God speaking.  They are getting upset with the same realization I had been given by God.

Most in the world that profess to being “Christian” at this time, and as a matter of fact for centuries believed they were one with God but lived their lives like the Pharisees.

Yes, you heard or read that correctly, like Pharisees.

What this means is that the majority of those that right this moment professes to being “Christians” are on the highway not the road that is difficult.

The first and smallest rapture is soon to take place. On that day those that do not awaken to the truth. Those that profess to being “Christian” and find themselves still here in this temporal existence. In shock. Bewildered that God abandoned them and left them here.

The thing is they weren’t abandoned.

They abandoned God. They abandoned Jesus Christ. They abandoned their own salvation.

Now there are those laughing.

They are saved, they will always be saved. They haven’t been paying attention.

I personally wish they would listen. For I do not wish for them to be standing here on earth looking up in bewilderment as the last trumpet blasts and they find themselves still here.

However, I know this truth as well. Most will never acknowledge this truth. This is witnessed by what else…. The Bible, the Word of God:

Revelation 7:9-14 – After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. 10 And they were shouting with a great roar, “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!” 11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living beings. And they fell before the throne with their faces to the ground and worshiped God. 12 They sang, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! Amen.” 13 Then one of the twenty-four elders asked me, “Who are these who are clothed in white? Where did they come from?” 14 And I said to him, “Sir, you are the one who knows.” Then he said to me, “These are the ones who died in the great tribulation. They have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb and made them white.

“After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb.”

“These are the ones who died in the great tribulation.”

These are the billions that must and will die DURING the tribulation. After the first rapture, which marks the beginning of the tribulation in which those that accept Christ Jesus as their Savior will die.

They now scream that Christ WILL take them and save them from this.

They just called the Word of God a lie. I will pause a moment to allow those that just stated that they will be included in the first rapture, yet it is stated clearly that billions will die during the tribulation.

Which is it?

The Bible or them?

Well, which is it?

If you truly follow what is in the Bible, then once you accepted Jesus Christ and once you truly read and study the Bible. Then you would sell off your worldly goods and downsize.

Yes, downsize. You would give up those things that are of this world and start gathering not worldly treasured but heavenly ones.

1 Timothy 6:17-19 – Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. 18 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. 19 By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.

Most will reject what has been stated so far. They will blame me, because I am merely a human. They will reject all that as been stated, because they are special, they are great, nothing stated by me is the truth.

They just called the Bible, Jesus, God: a liar.

I have been led to say the following.

Many churches are no longer that. They have become a social club dedicated to the glory of those that attend and not to whom it was meant to glorify: our Savior Jesus Christ and His Father our Creator God.

I personally care for nothing done in these buildings called “churches.”

They have labeled themselves for what they truly are.

Many look about them daily and are blind to what they see about them. They have forgotten that everything in nature we see was created by God.

Many buildings that claim to be a “church” have welcomed sin openly into their pews, and they do not care for it keeps the bills paid and the doors open. So, they can preach their false doctrines, claiming they preach the Word of God, when their actions state clearly the total opposite.

Now understand this. Those that follow the Bible, at this time, truly FOLLOWING the Word of God, cannot leave sin alone. We cannot welcome it into our midst. Not because we hate, but because we love.

True followers of Christ Jesus cannot stand to live in sin, nor tolerate those that do. The key is a repentant heart.

What does it mean to be repentant?

Repent – G3340 – metanoeó – change the inner man (particularly with reference to acceptance of the will of God); reconsider (morally to feel compunction)

a: compunction – a feeling of uneasiness or anxiety of the conscience caused by regret for doing wrong (living in sin) or causing pain; contrition; remorse.

When you follow Christ, you seek with all your heart to end sin within your own life. You feel the love of Christ and you desire for all to know and feel this love as well. So, being His followers, we seek to have all feel His acceptance, but this can only be done by ending sin in their own lives.

But understand this as well. Even though we follow Christ we still sin. However, when we sin, we feel regret, pain and sorrow to the core of our soul. We beg God’s forgiveness, and stive to end sin. Many times, God purges sins from us, and we never do them again, but there is always one sin that doesn’t seem to go away. It is this one that plagues us until we leave this life.

This one sin is our reminder that we live in corruption. Always striving to reject it and avoid it. That we must seek repentance over and over, because we faulter and fail. A never-ending cycle until we are blessed to be brought into the presence or our Creator God.

Most in this world do not feel true repentance. Many live in sins that clearly states they will never be allowed into heaven, yet they live in these sins anyway. Believing they will be allowed in. This is the furthest thing from the truth.

Matthew 7:13-14 – “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

To ask someone that truly follows Christ to leave sinners alone is like asking a mother not to feed her babe as that baby screams in hunger. The affection is the same.

We wish none to go to hell, but that is the default destination for all that have not asked Jesus Christ to be their Savior and then truly be repentant.

True repentance means ending sin… especially those sin which will not allow any entrance into heaven. Understand that a majority of those that profess to being “Christian” do not live in repentance. For truly being “Christian” is one of the hardest lifestyles to live. For people will attack us, make fun of us, laugh at us. We strive to live modest lives, not in luxuries. For this people will think us stupid and ignorant. They will think we control the actions of those that live in non-repentant sins within those buildings that have allowed sin to enter into them so they can excuse their own desires to live in sin.

Time is running out and the first rapture will be small, but you can still be in it. Repent. Accept Christ as your Savior.

God Bless.

Discussion

One of the things that stands out in many of those that profess to being “Christian” is their unwillingness to help people end their sin. They say it is none of their business.

Are they not of the Body of Christ?

I will pause a to allow those listening to think upon their answer.

The true answer is found here:

Matthew 25:14-30 – “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. He called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone. 15 He gave five bags of silver to one, two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last—dividing it in proportion to their abilities. He then left on his trip. 16 “The servant who received the five bags of silver began to invest the money and earned five more. 17 The servant with two bags of silver also went to work and earned two more. 18 But the servant who received the one bag of silver dug a hole in the ground and hid the master’s money. 19 “After a long time their master returned from his trip and called them to give an account of how they had used his money. 20 The servant to whom he had entrusted the five bags of silver came forward with five more and said, ‘Master, you gave me five bags of silver to invest, and I have earned five more.’ 21 “The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’ 22 “The servant who had received the two bags of silver came forward and said, ‘Master, you gave me two bags of silver to invest, and I have earned two more.’ 23 “The master said, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’ 24 “Then the servant with the one bag of silver came and said, ‘Master, I knew you were a harsh man, harvesting crops you didn’t plant and gathering crops you didn’t cultivate. 25   I was afraid I would lose your money, so I hid it in the earth. Look, here is your money back.’ 26 “But the master replied, ‘You wicked and lazy servant! If you knew I harvested crops I didn’t plant and gathered crops I didn’t cultivate, 27 why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank? At least I could have gotten some interest on it.’ 28 “Then he ordered, ‘Take the money from this servant, and give it to the one with the ten bags of silver. 29 To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away. 30 Now throw this useless servant into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Please note the servant with one bag of silver. Now here is an important point that needs to be made clear. This is not about seeking after worldly wealth. This is about bringing people to Christ. The bags of silver are not money. It is our spiritual gifts, but the added silver is not more spiritual gifts. It is new people added to the Kingdom of Heaven. This requires interaction with people and helping them to see they are living not for God but for themselves. It requires not burying our heads in the sand or our bags of silver in the ground. Many chose to do this though.

They say:

“That is their sin, and they have to deal with.”

“It is not my place to interfere in their life.”

“Live and let live.”

It is this mentality that is seen by those that chose to bury their silver in the ground.

One of the key elements that is truly required when becoming a child of God is the filling of the Holy Spirit. The most important part of knowing the will of God is learning the Word of God.

Mark 16:15-16 – And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.

However, do not forget what the true “Good News” is.

“Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not.”

Those who make excuses are not following the word of God. They are not correcting. They are not rebuking. They are not encouraging.

Too many have forgotten the last part of this parable.

Matthew 25:29-30 – ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Those that are servants in the Kingdom of Heaven are “Christians.” Those that profess to being this and did nothing to bring others to the promise of salvation are removed from this and given over to that place where all go that do not know God.

But they do not see this because they see themselves as above this and saved. They do not wish to suffer the rejection of their fellow humans. They are afraid of suffering here in this temporal plain of existence.

John 16:33 – These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

I will share with you one of the dreams I have been given as a dreamer of dreams:

Lightning flashes as the sound of the thunder explodes in my ears. I look about me and see the ruins of several buildings. Around me I observe people running about, their clothes torn and tattered.

Suddenly I see a dark form upon a horse riding straight toward me, with a long lance in his hand. The rider lowers the point of the lance as his steed’s pace quickens. In less than a second, I realizes my life is in danger and I leap to one side of the charging rider. Quickly I stand from where I landed and look around. Before me, down the remains of a city’s street I perceive a light, and within the light I feels the presents of God. Hastily I begin to move towards the light as the joy of being with God begins to fill me. As I start to run forward, I begin to see a faint image of Jesus standing in the light.

Then without warning I fall; and as I land, I feel as if I am in a field with the weeds brushing against me. I sit up and look into the air where the light had been only seconds before, but now there is nothing, only a darkening gray sky. I look around me and see others about. Most I had never seen before, but others I do recognize. They are actors and politicians, for the most part; and others are people who call themselves “Christians,” whom I had seen on television once or twice.

I look at the hill I had fallen onto and is shocked to notice that the weeds are not that at all. Instead, they look like some type of tentacles that wave back and forth. First in an upward motion, and then in a downward movement, like seaweed in a tidal pool swaying back and forth as a wave passes overhead. As each movement pass, I find myself a little farther down the hill. I look at the bottom of the slope and is startled at the sight of a sheer drop awaiting me at its base.

I try to stand but cannot. So, I try to crawl up the rise, but for every inch I moves up, the tentacles drive Me two inches in the opposite direction. Finally, I stop and look about me. I see two men clinging to each other like lovers facing death together, and I am sickened by the sight. I look on a scantily dressed woman, her face caked in makeup in an attempt to hide the black and blue discoloration beneath her eye. I watch as a man in a fine suit bows his head in prayer until he falls into the abyss before all of them. As the individual falls into the darkness below, I look at the impending darkness before me, and a sadness starts to fill me as I look over the edge. A sudden feeling of hopelessness fills me as I lean towards the void before me and allow myself to fall over the edge.

The darkness is not complete as I feel myself falling towards my unknown destination. I see the silhouettes of others falling with me, ever downward. At one point in my descent, I see the forms of several people in a circle holding hands as they fall ever deeper, into the bottomless pit of blackness. I join the group and notice that they are singing a hymn. After a short time, I release their hands as they all continue downward towards the ultimate goal as they continue to sing their joyful song.

After a time, I feel as if I has been falling for hours when I suddenly notice a reddish light start to appear below me. I look carefully as the distance between me, and the light grows ever smaller. The light flickers like a flame as I look at the terrain below me. At first, I think my eyes are being tricked by the fluctuating luminance, but it is not. The ground is moving like a vast ocean beneath me, always active. As the distance closes, I soon become aware of the reason for the motion below. I begin to see the form of millions upon millions of individual people all moving about as if in a daze.

Finally, I reach the end of my fall. I feel myself slow as I approach the ground below and look about at the endless mass of walking bodies around me. My feet touch the ground, and I know I am in Hell.

Now I was led to tell you of this dream is due to the fact that there are those that call themselves “Christian” and yet they do nothing for God, and believe they are going to heaven. Do you remember how Jesus ended the parable we started today with?

I recently read this in a meme:

“Contrary to popular belief, hell is not a place where God sends only the worst of the worst. Hell is our default destination. We need someone to save us, or we stand before God condemned.

“That Savior is Christ. He died for sin so we might live for Him. Repent and follow Jesus.”

Here is one concept that I have noted from those that belief there is nothing beyond this temporal life we now live.

They live in the denial of God and an eternal life. To them the darkness that is seen by some that have had a life after death incident. Is verification of the lack of an eternal life. This gives them license to do as they please. Things to the point of absolute horrid actions and behavior by even those that consider themselves to be “civilized.” This darkness, I know through my faith in Christ and His Father God, is the same darkness I witnessed in my dream. A decent to eternal damnation, which all default to if they do not accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.

John 10:9 – I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.

John 3:1-7 – There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” 3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’

Many think they are going to heaven; most aren’t.

Analysis your own life be you sinner or saint for time is running out

Today as we continue our study of “The Biblical teaching for those that have earthly wealth.” We will start with a study of some verses from the Gospel of Luke, and we will see where the Holy Spirit leads us in today’s podcast from there.

Luke 16:1-13 – Jesus told this story to his disciples: “There was a certain rich man who had a manager handling his affairs. One day a report came that the manager was wasting his employer’s money. 2 So the employer called him in and said, ‘What’s this I hear about you? Get your report in order, because you are going to be fired.’ 3 “The manager thought to himself, ‘Now what? My boss has fired me. I don’t have the strength to dig ditches, and I’m too proud to beg. 4 Ah, I know how to ensure that I’ll have plenty of friends who will give me a home when I am fired.’ 5 “So he invited each person who owed money to his employer to come and discuss the situation. He asked the first one, ‘How much do you owe him?’ 6 The man replied, ‘I owe him 800 gallons of olive oil.’ So the manager told him, ‘Take the bill and quickly change it to 400 gallons.’ 7 “‘And how much do you owe my employer?’ he asked the next man. ‘I owe him 1,000 bushels of wheat,’ was the reply. ‘Here,’ the manager said, ‘take the bill and change it to 800 bushels.’ 8 “The rich man had to admire the dishonest rascal for being so shrewd. And it is true that the children of this world are more shrewd in dealing with the world around them than are the children of the light. 9 Here’s the lesson: Use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends. Then, when your possessions are gone, they will welcome you to an eternal home. 10 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. 11 And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? 12 And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own? 13 “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.”

We will start in on Christ’s description of His parable from verses 9 – 13. Therefore, I will restate them in the KJV:

Luke 16:9-13 – And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. 10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own? 13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Most of the verses here have importance to those that profess to being a follower of Jesus Christ. Accordingly, we will take a look at those that will cause people to think from different perspectives. We will start with verse eleven from the Amplified Bible classic

16:11 – Therefore if you have not been faithful in the [case of] unrighteous mammon (deceitful riches, money, possessions), who will entrust to you the true riches?

Once again in the KJV so we can do a breakdown of certain words:

Luke 16:11 – If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

Ye have not – G3756 – ou, ouk, ouch – no or not

Faithful – G4103 – pistos – objectively trustworthy; subjectively trustful, faithful, reliable.

Unrighteous – G94 – adikos – unjust, by extension wicked by implication treacherous

Mammon – G3126 – mamónas – (Aramaic) riches, money, possessions, property

Will commit to your trust – G4100, G5213

               G4100 – pisteuó – to believe, entrust

               G5213 – humin – you

The takeaway from the translation:

If a person has not been trustworthy with their earthly riches, possessions and property how can they be trusted with those heavenly rewards yet to come.

What does this mean?

For that we look to Timothy:

1 Timothy 6:17-19 – Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. 18 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. 19 By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.

Verses 18 in the KJV:

1 Timothy 6:18 – That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

Now we will break this down.

That they do good – G14 – agathoergeó – do good: I work that which is good, perform good deeds.

Good – G2570 – kalos – beautiful, good. Properly beautiful, but chiefly (figuratively) good (literally or morally), that is valuable, virtuous.

Works – G2041 (G1511)

G2041 – ergon – to work, toil, an act – deed, labor

G1511 – einai – am, was, come, is, there is, to be, was

ready to distribute – G2130 – eumetadotos – ready to impart, good at imparting

impart – to grant a part or share of. to give; bestow; communicate

willing to communicate – G2843 – koinónikos – willing to share, sociable, ready to communicate, beneficent.

Per the TDNT when these two words are combined as seen in this verse, these two words mean this: “He who gladly gives others a share.”

Therefore, this verse comes out saying:

They do good works that are virtuous who gladly gives others a share of their earthly riches.

Now most do not do this. They say they tithe their ten percent. They cling to the majority of their money and claim it as their rewards, and none are welcome to a share. Simply they have not been faithful with their corrupt riches. For it is made clear that to be faithful they must share most of it and joyfully.

Those who insist upon keeping their wealth. Using a majority share for their own wants and desires are poor stewards of their money. So, they are showing they cannot be trusted with their heavenly rewards. This is why we see this said in verse thirteen:

Luke 16:13 – “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.”

By seeking after more and more. Seeking after wealth, luxuries. Fancy clothes, possessions. Those that do this are enslaved to money. They do not serve God, even though in their eyes they believe they are. The Glorified Jesus Christ sent a letter to them:

Revelation 3:14-22 – “Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen—the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s creation: 15 “I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! 16 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! 17 You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. 18 So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. 19 I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference. 20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. 21 Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne. 22 “Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.”

The key element in the description of the lukewarm:

Revelation 3:17 – You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.

“You say, I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!”

Does this not describe those that are enslaved to money and not God?

Do they not profess to being “Christian,” yet they insist upon having all their wealth for their own comforts and desires?

The Bible shows they are to give most away and to do it gladly, as stated earlier. Yet right now if they are still reading this, or listening to this. They are getting angry and protesting.

1 Timothy 6:4-10 -Anyone who teaches something different is arrogant and lacks understanding.

“To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy.”

“For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.”

Later in Luke 16 this is said:

Luke 16:14-15 – The Pharisees, who dearly loved their money, heard all this and scoffed at him. 15 Then he said to them, “You like to appear righteous in public, but God knows your hearts. What this world honors is detestable in the sight of God.

Wealth, status, possessions and the seeking after them is seen as detestable in the sight of God.

Are people willing to accept their short comings?

Time is running out. For His return is nigh.

Matthew 24:32-35 – “Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. 33 In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door. 34 I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

How long is a generation?

Per a paper but forth by Donn Devine on the International Society of Genetic Genealogy Wiki. A generation is 33 years. (https://isogg.org/wiki/How_long_is_a_generation%3F_Science_provides_an_answer)

You think it is a coincidence that Jesus went upon the cross when he was 33? I personally don’t.

But what is it Christ Jesus said to look for and to know that within 33 years he would return?

Matthew 24:4-14 – Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, 5 for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. 7 Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. 8 But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come. 9 “Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. 10 And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. 11 And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. 12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.

What else is said about what to look for to know we are in the end-times?

2 Timothy 3:1-5 – You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

In a past three-part series “The many faces of the selfish god.” I go into an in-depth study of these verses. Therefore, I will not go deeper here.

Timothy was also told this about the last days before the return of Christ in 1 Timothy:

1 Timothy 4:1-4 – Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. 2 These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead. 3 They will say it is wrong to be married and wrong to eat certain foods. But God created those foods to be eaten with thanks by faithful people who know the truth. 4 Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks. 5 For we know it is made acceptable by the word of God and prayer.

Now look at the world about you in your own life, on the TV. Those that live in your neighborhood, your city, town or village.

One of the greatest failings within the Body of Christ as been the desire to love too much. People see sin within those they interact with in all forms. But what is the command given to Timothy in verse five of 2 Timothy 3?

“Stay away from people like that.”

Yet most do not follow this directive. They allow people to not only stay in their lives but in their churches as well. Defying the Word of God. People believe they have the power within them to change the behavior of people about them. That is the greatest mistake any human can make.

We have no power to change anyone. All we do have is the ability to spread the Word of God and to live a righteous lifestyle which is to follow the commandments and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Mark 16:15-16 – And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. 16 Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.

Matthew 5:13-16 – “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. 14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

When we don’t separate ourselves from those that live in sin are we not covering the light in a basket?

Are we not making the salt useless?

Are we not ask God’s anger to be aimed at us?

Ephesians 5:1-11 – Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. 2 Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God. 3 Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. 4 Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. 5 You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. 6 Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him. 7 Don’t participate in the things these people do. 8 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! 9 For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. 10 Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. 11 Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.

If someone is not producing what is good, right and true then they do not have the Holy Spirit within them.

1 John 2:1-6 – My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. 2 He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world. 3 And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments. 4 If someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth. 5 But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. 6 Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.

Many out there say that Jesus’ only commandment was to love, which is not true. Those that do this fall into those of verse four of the verses that were just read. For the commandments are all the commandments given unto us since the time of Moses as long as they pass the litmus test commandments restated to us by Christ Jesus. What is this?

Matthew 5:17-20 – “Don’t misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved. 19 So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. 20 “But I warn you—unless your righteousness is better than the righteousness of the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees, you will never enter the Kingdom of Heaven!

John 15:10 – When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.

And the litmus test commandments that Christ restated:

Matthew 22:37-40 – Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

But I have gotten offtrack.

When the sins shown in 1 Timothy 4:1-4 and 2 Timothy 3:1-5 are all seen we know that we are in the last times, the end times.

Do not people shun certain types of foods? Are there not Vegans and Vegetarians?

Have people fallen into to following false teachings? A prime example would be Joel Olsteen, who teaches to seek after worldly wealth which is totally opposite the teachings of Jesus Christ in Matthew 6:19-24.

Do people care more for their money and themselves? Do they not seek to have the biggest the best and the most expensive? A fancy house, clothes, possessions, a car?

Are they not boastful and proud? Thinking themselves better than other humans and showing off to those about them?

Do many these days ridicule God?

Are many in this present generation ungrateful to their parents as well as disobedient to them?

Do they consider nothing sacred?

Do not many belittle other, yet their own lives are filled with nothing but disorder?

Is that which is good seen as evil by most?

I could keep going, but I believe I have made my point.

When the exact moment the generation started the count down to the return of Christ within 33 years I cannot say. But all the signs we are told to look for are amongst us now. None can question this truth.

Christ Jesus is soon to arrive. It is now you must fix your life with Him. For if you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you are in reality not alive.

Yes, you breath, yes you wake up every day. But that is not the promised life that is offered by God through the death of His Son and resurrection on the third day.

The promised life is eternal life that is yet to come after this life you now live. The promised reward is not found in this life but in the one that will last forever. Why reward someone for something that will last a few decades? When they can have billions upon billion upon billions of years to appreciate the reward that God will give unto all that listen and obey what is within the Bible.

I will end this message with these words for the second letter to Timothy:

2 Timothy 3:16-4:5 – All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 1 I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he comes to set up his Kingdom: 2 Preach the word of God.

Discussion

Last week with the release of “The Harsh Message” I entered into a new level of my podcasts. Most of my podcasts up until then had been Bible studies. The showing of the True Word of God for those willing to take the time to listen or read them. All taken from the Bible. All deliberately done for the true meanings found within the Scripture for those willing to truly study the Bible as we are instructed to do by God Himself. Because of His love for all of us humans that walk upon this planet. Few listened. Not only to these podcasts, but to the Bible itself.sina

Now, I will reduce my studies to actually giving messages mostly. Will people be willing to listen? I don’t know. What I do know is that it is not me I wish to glorify, but God through His Son our Savior Jesus Christ. Not many knows my true name, and that is as it should be. For we are not here to glorify ourselves, but our Creator God through Jesus Christ.

I, at times, personally do not feel worthy to be the teacher of His Holy Word, but that is the calling I have been given.  There is something that needs to be placed into the light. Is any who seek glory. Any who give their names and say they are doing this or that for the sake of Jesus Christ. To me, personally, I believe they are seeking to steal the limelight from the only being worthy of being worshipped. That being is the one who humbled Himself so greatly that He not only put on the skin of a mortal but died a death that is seen as most vile. This death that is seen this way throughout the world from cultures that had never heard of God or of His Son Jesus Christ until these nations came into contact with those cultures that had heard of them. Yet they still saw that being hanged or strung up upon a tree the ultimate sin.

Do you actually think this was by chance? That they think the same type of death is seen as so demeaning and the ultimate insult to the person it is happening to? This was by design. The design of the Creator of this universe and the new universe yet to come.

Recently I released a list of what is truth within the Bible. A thing that many wish to deny and not hear. Many out there wish to continue to live their lives as they feel is important to how they wish to feel. They seek to live in comfort. They seek to continue to think of what is important to them and those they choose to let into their lives.

Simply the world revolves about them.

That is opposite the teachings of the Bible.

However, many that do this. Call themselves “Christian.”

Yet the Bible tells us to imitate Christ. To humble ourselves. To place all others before ourselves. To do this the desires of the person should become unimportant to themselves. Their focus should be on pleasing first God through Jesus Christ, then all others.

Philippians chapter two says this:

Philippians 2:3-8 – Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. 5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. 6 Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. 7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, 8 he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

When Christ calls upon us to follow Him in His service. He tells us to surrender all.  This is seen in the story of the young rich man seen in Matthew 19:16-30, Mark 10:17-31 and Luke 18:18-30. This is also explained to the large crowd that followed Christ in Luke 14:25-33.

How many that are reading or listening to this right now can actually say they have surrendered all?

I know the answer. I see the answer everyday, or any time I enter into the buildings called “churches.”

I see Mercedes, BMWs, and many other expensive vehicles. As well as fancy clothes and adornments. Yet they protest and complain I that am in the wrong and they are in the right.

But does it not go completely opposite of what Jesus Christ Himself said.

“Oh, but that was a different age. That does not apply to us.” Comes the words from many out there.

They don’t even realize they just denied Jesus Christ.

Matthew 10:32-33 – “Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.

“I didn’t deny Christ” they scream and shout in anger.

I will quote from the story of the young rich man.

Mark 10:23-31 – Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!” 24 This amazed them. But Jesus said again, “Dear children, it is very hard to enter the Kingdom of God. 25 In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!” 26 The disciples were astounded. “Then who in the world can be saved?” they asked. 27 Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.” 28 Then Peter began to speak up. “We’ve given up everything to follow you,” he said. 29 “Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, 30 will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property—along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life. 31 But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then.”

Two key statements that bear repeating:

“Yes, and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News, will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property—along with persecution.”

And the 2nd:

“But many who are the greatest now will be least important then, and those who seem least important now will be the greatest then.”

Simple translation: the rich will be poor, and the poor will be rich in Godly treasures.

So, Jesus Christ makes it very clear to not seek after worldly possessions and riches, yet millions professing to be “Christian” do just that. What is another name for that?

Oh yea, Hypocrites.

What does the Bible call hypocrites?

James 4:4 – You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God.

Consequently, they are the enemy of God, all because they seek after the world as seen in 1 John 2:

1 John 2:15-16 – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

This is what labels those that keep or seek after worldly wealth and possession: hypocrites. And thus, their denial of Jesus Christ.

I did not say this. I am no one. I serve God. I am guided by the Holy Ghost, and I write what He guides me to write and speak. I am a voice in the wilderness. Crying out to cause you to awaken to the truth.

Therefore, if what I am guided to say is not me. Then it is the Holy Spirit saying this. Not me and I seek no glory or reward for making people feel uncomfortable. If they suffer discomfort, it is the Holy Spirit saying that what they are hearing is the truth being stated here. For it is just that. For it comes from the only truth. The Word of God.

Christ makes it very clear. You wish to follow Him. You must give everything away. Not seek after more and more of the world, but to reject the world. To seek after that which only the Father through His Holy Son can give us.

And where are these rewards?

1 Timothy 6:17-19 – Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. 18 Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. 19 By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.

How can they be ready to share with others if they are driving most of their money or living in most of their money. How can they share with a hundred people in need a 72’ screen TV? Or cloth a thousand with their $150 each pair of a rack of shoes in their closet.

As long as they live in luxuries on this earth, they store no treasures in heaven, they have shown they hate God and His Son our Savior Jesus Christ.

Christ is soon to return. Which side of the wedding feast door do you wish to be standing upon? Matthew 25:1-13.
