Until further notice the messages that accompany this notice will be part of the “Come out of her my people” series. They will be harsh. They will cause people to get upset. This is as it should be. They must question the way they think and live. So, they can seek to follow Christ and not the world.

Discussion

Deny yourself.

What most refuse to do but it is required by God through Jesus Christ:

Matthew 16:24-27 NKJV – Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.

“If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up the cross and follow Me.”

I know of many that do post after post and to glorify themselves in the so-called name of Christ. This is in no way denying themselves. This is worshipping themselves.

Count the cost.

Luke 14:26-33 NKJV – “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it— lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

“For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—“

“So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.”

This is a direct command to live a needs-only lifestyle and to sell off all our possessions and to give to the poor.

Mark 10:21 NKJV – Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”

1 Timothy 6:6-8 NKJV – Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

1 Timothy 6:17-19 NKJV – Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Any who challenge this and says God has rewarded them with earthly mammon shows they have listened to the lies of Satan and need to repent.

Crucify your flesh.

Galatians 5:22-26 NKJV – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

“And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”

The passions and desires is to own and keep their mammon and to seek to satisfy the lusts of their flesh.

Leave the world behind.

1 John 2:15-16 NLT – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

Never seek after what the world esteems anymore for that makes you an abomination in the sight of the Lord.

Luke 16:13-15 NKJV – “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

Come to Christ on His terms.

Matthew 11:25-30 NKJV – At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

The labor is the spreading of the Word of God. For when you spread the True Word of God you will be persecuted and attacked. Especially by those that are false Christians. Just as Christ was.

Repent of your sins and believe and teach the True Gospel which will result in you being hated.

Mark 1:15 NKJV – and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

Be fully committed to God through Jesus Christ.

Luke 9:57-62 NKJV – Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, that someone said to Him, “Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.” And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” Then He said to another, “Follow Me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.” And another also said, “Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.” But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”

This is how most, especially those that go to the buildings called “churches” act and behave. Refusing to commit themselves fully to Jesus Christ.

Most don’t want to hear or accept these Truths. They want to live their lives as they desire. Living in sin and believing they are all set with God. This is the furthest thing from the Truth. Christ made it very clear.

Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV – “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

This is why in three different gospels there is story of the young rich man.

Mark 10:17-25 NKJV – Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. You know the commandments: ‘DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY,’ ‘DO NOT MURDER,’ ‘DO NOT STEAL,’ ‘DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘HONOR YOUR FATHER AND YOUR MOTHER.'” And he answered and said to Him, “Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.” Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.” But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!” And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

This young rich man lives a very religious life. He is a member of the synagogue and is loyal to God. This is why Jesus Christ looks upon the young man lovingly. This is how most that go to buildings called “churches” live and behave. They too refuse to downsize. Most do exactly what the young rich man did. They reject their salvation and turn away from Christ. All because their mammon is their first love. Mammon which is defined as riches (jewelry and fancy clothes), money, possessions (objects that gather dust and vehicles) and property (huge houses and multiple houses as well as large areas of land filled with nothing). Just what Christ says we must abandon, however, most refuse to do so.

So many think they are special and exempt. It is truly and completely sad. They are so proud and pompous.

Proverbs 16:18 NKJV  Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

Too many believe they are special and exempt. Thinking they shall not be subject to being left behind.

Romans 2:11 NLT  For God does not show favoritism.

Most that believe they are special and exempt believe they have a special standing before God. However they have never truly abandoned the world. They are the lukewarm it is so sad to hear this and see this, but this is the truth. A truth that will only be made clear upon that day that Christ comes as a thief in the night. A truly sad day for most.

God Bless

Discussion

Last week we discussed the ruins of buildings in both the past and the future. There are other ruins that exist in this world. Ruins that we see daily. Yet few if any truly acknowledge them or their existence. These ruins are those that once knew salvation and have strayed form the Word of God for their own versions of the Bible which makes them happy, but they do not consider God’s happiness. Which is that they live forever an eternal structure made by the hand of God Himself.

God wishes these ruins to be rebuilt. To be made whole once more. But they need a starting point from where to lay down the foundation. Yes, their foundation is Jesus Christ Himself. However, doesn’t He provide a starting point?

Jesus Himself identifies what He sees as the greatest of the commandments.

Matthew 22:34-40 – But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees with his reply, they met together to question him again. 35 One of them, an expert in religious law, tried to trap him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” 37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

I want to look at the KJV of the second of these commandments:

“And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”

As – G5613 – hos – which how that is in that manner.

Leviticus 19:18 – Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

As thyself – H3644 – kemo – according to such as in comparison

The implication here is we are to view our neighbor in a way that would make them greater.

Philippians 2:3 – Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

When we think of what we want. That is what we should make possible for our neighbors. Does this mean surrendering all?

No.

However, you should judge your own lives against those that you should be helping.

Those that seek to be great should be a servant to the rest.

Matthew 20:25-28 – But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. 26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Jesus Christ is the greatest. Yet he made Himself not only our servant but our sacrifice.

That is why He said that if someone sacrifices themselves for another is something we should seek if that is what is required of us. (1 John 3:16)

So, to treat our neighbors as we wish to be treated, we must be humble.

This humility should also be reflected in how we our lives.

Once we have surplus that which is extra should be given away. To those in the body of Christ first.  Then to those in need outside of the body second. This is how someone rebuilds the ruins that most have made of their lives. Most without even being aware that they are ruins.

Another way of rebuilding the ruins of a life is by ending sin. Many live in and accept sins within their lives that they love and value more than God Himself.

Now here there will be those that scoff at this. Some may not even realize they are doing this. This is the greatest flaw in humanity itself. This is seen in the way the Bible is written. The letters that formed the New Testament were written to people that had become saved. That had become followers of Jesus Christ. That had turned their backs upon sin.

Yet as you read these letters a recurrent theme appears. To have self-control. To remain true to the laws of Moses. To be repentant. To end sin.

Were not these people, these letters were written for saved? Yes, they were. Then why were they still required to live with these demands upon their lives? Because they were as we are, in corruption. Our nature due to this corruption is to focus upon ourselves, not God. That is the entire problem. This is why we are to study upon the Bible and to learn how to change our lives. To attempt to the best of our ability to end sin within our lives with the help of the Holy Spirit. Especially those sins which will not allow us entry into our eternal service unto God. Through His Son our Savior Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:15-19 – Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. 16 Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior. 17 This kind of talk spreads like cancer, as in the case of Hymenaeus and Philetus. 18 They have left the path of truth, claiming that the resurrection of the dead has already occurred; in this way, they have turned some people away from the faith. 19 But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The LORD knows those who are his,” and “All who belong to the LORD must turn away from evil.”

“Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive His approval.”

Isaiah 52:11 – Get out! Get out and leave your captivity, where everything you touch is unclean. Get out of there and purify yourselves, you who carry home the sacred objects of the LORD.

Ending sin in our lives and helping others is a job, which requires our diligent attention. For are we not “sacred objects” a temple unto God due to the Holy Spirit?

1 Corinthians 3:6-15 – I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. 7 It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. 9 For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building. 10 Because of God’s grace to me, I have laid the foundation like an expert builder. Now others are building on it. But whoever is building on this foundation must be very careful. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. 12 Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. 13 But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. 14 If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. 15 But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.

These verses shows that those teaching the scripture must teach them accurately. Or they will themselves will suffer if they have taught people inaccurately.

This shows that people can be taught a false gospel. Even by those that were once shown as true to God but have turned away from the true Gospel as witnessed in 2 Timothy 2:17 mentioned earlier. It also shows that those that do turn away will suffer the consequences for teaching lessons that are pleasing to the ears of the listeners and does not make them feel the need to end their sins. Thus, going back to the earlier point of placing others before ourselves.

When seeking to make sure that others are heading into a righteous life. Doing so in such a manner that it causes them to know the true way into salvation. Then how to grow as true followers of Jesus Christ. Those that do this are placing those seeking after God before themselves. Helping people to truly seek after an eternal life that is filled with more opportunities than people know or even realize.

But to get back on the main track.

Let us look more closely at 1 Corinthians 3:12 in the KJV:

“Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;”

We need to establish one key point. In the NLT the word “jewels” is used. In the KJV it is “precious stones.” This is actually in reference to marbles, alabasters, or granite. Not jewels but materials used in building extravagant structures.

Now when building the structures of our belief and faith in God. Not only do the teachers of the Bible have a part in the building. The people themselves have a part. When building upon the foundation that Jesus gave us when we accepted Him as our Savior. We all build each layer of our structure through what and how we learn about everything within the Christian belief and teachings. We all have all the layers mentioned in the verse from 1 Corinthians. Some have more than others of the various elements. Then when the time comes. That we must face the moment God passes judgment upon us through the fiery trail. How will the structure hold up and show where we stand in our salvation? Will it hold together enough to show that we have used our self-control and understanding of the Bible will enough to be seen as worthy to wear the white robes of salvation and righteousness?

That is up to every person to decide and contemplate for themselves.

Thus, the need for self-control and self-examination. But to do this we must know what it is we are to compare ourselves to. This is done through thoroughly studying the Bible and coming to understand the true and accurate teachings within it. This is done by learning the true meaning of words as they were written nearly two thousand years ago. Which can only be accomplished with study aids like that of Strong’s Concordance and the Theological Dictionaries of the Old and New Testaments. Note I do not mention commentaries, even though I have used some myself. Without true understanding how can anyone know for sure what it is that make the teachings of Jesus Christ what it is He wishes for us to know, learn and practice in our everyday lives.

It is by not following the true teaches of the Bible that there are human ruins throughout the world as these words are written down and recorded. They are ruins because they listen to that which makes wood, hay and stubble. All things that will burn away easily. Leaving a weak structure that will falter and fall in the fiery test promised to us at the time of our judgement. The only person that can fix these ruins are the people that have turned themselves into these ruins. By acknowledging they do not truly know the Bible on their own. Not taking the words of others, even myself, but taking responsibilities for their own lives. Then learning to become closer to Jesus Christ and thus closer to God.

God Bless

You didn’t “like” Jesus?

re-post
The goal of my blog is actually to reach those that call themselves Christian yet are not truly living Christian. If by chance, I reach those that have not asked Jesus into their life the more the merrier.
Am I perfect? No.
Is it my calling from Christ? Yes.
Have I been successful? I honestly do not know.
Each day I struggle with real life events. Some are heartbreaking. Some just challenge me. Yet I continue on seeking my best to serve my Savior. Do I stumble? Most definitely.
We are told to be hot for God and His Son Jesus. To be one with Him and to do as He taught within the Bible.
If you are not hot for God, Jesus clearly states that He would rather you be cold for Him then to be lukewarm for God.
This simple description states why I seek to help those others that call themselves Christian.
Per Jesus if you do not abide with Him, He would rather you deny Him then be someone that says they believe and little else. For those that are lukewarm will be cast from Him. In John 15, it makes it clear without saying so that these people will be cast into a fire.
In the eternal there is only one place that fits this description. It is some place I do not wish to see any have to partake of. Be one with Christ. Live DAILY in His teachings and ways. Love thy neighbor as thy self, for when you do you will be bless by God.
I find it interesting how when I challenge people to their standing with Jesus I do not get any or few “likes.”
The Bible is very clear when read correctly on how our relationship with God and His Son should be. It is sad that so few actually live as directed.
As I stated above, am I perfect? Again, I say no.
Am I judging? Very much no.
I am simply stating what is written within the Bible itself. Have you read it?
Two times Christ states that you must have a strong relationship directly with Him and both times, He states that if you do not you can be cast away from the Body. (John 15:1-11, Revelation 3: 14-22 KJV)
I did not say it. Jesus said it, yet people do not “like” what Christ said. This is heart-rending and revealing. It shows that their relationship may be lacking. I know mine is.
In the Bible, it states that there must be two witnesses against you when accused. Again two times Christ personally makes statements for those reading the Bible to be as witnesses to our relationship with Christ Himself.
This is no accident; this is God laying down the foundation for the White Throne Judgment. A time when many that thought themselves Christian will find themselves not being a part of the Rapture and then the thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ upon earth. They instead will be amongst the dead risen to stand before God upon the White Throne receiving His judgment. Will there be Biblical scholars among them? Perhaps. Will they say, “Where are my two witnesses?” Then God will reply with John 15 and Revelation 3.
