Understanding the duality of God’s work

One thing that many have problems understanding is God’s use of duality. Throughout all levels of the Bible and its teaching down to words themselves. A duality can be found that expands upon just how great God is. God knows who will follow Him. Yet we ourselves do not and through the use of free-will, we, ourselves must make the choice to follow Him.
God knows from the outset that Eve would eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. In turn He knew that Adam would eat it as well. Yet allowing their free-will to dictate their live as well as all that have followed since that fateful day.
God is both physical and spiritual, and as Christ manifested after His resurrection. He used both attributes to enter into a locked room. Becoming physical enough to eat and drink as he talked with the apostles present at that time.
Any attempt to take away from this duality means to diminish not only our Creator, but His will as well. Any that say the Word of God is not what it says, takes away from God. We are told not to add or take away from the Bible.
The ultimate example of the duality comes in the form of faith and works. We are told clearly that faith alone is dead. We are also told that doing works alone has no meaning to God, and many times is used to glorify the person not God, and so is an example of death as well. It is made very clear that the duality is we must have faith and live the teachings of the bible, which is works (James 2:14-26).
When you horde your wealth, speed, gossip, think yourself special, but at the same time say you belief in Christ. You have failed the duality and are not one with Christ, which is the duality of hypocrisy.
The teaching within the Bible make it perfectly clear. We are to live modestly and share our extra wealth with our fellow Christians in need. We are to obey the laws of the land, no matter how inconvenient, that do not go against the Word of God. We are not to gossip or place anything above God. We are also to humble ourselves and to treat all others as better than us. We do this for God is the first thing we consider above all else.
For one day Christ will return to earth and split the Mount of Olives. For He is the Son of Man, the Son of God, the Messiah.

The siren song of the false prophets and teachers

So I learned something recently. Appears that we have been in the tribulation since 1998. Funny, this is the longest seven years I have ever encountered.
Wow, another tidbit I didn’t know. The “select” are all that will be redeemed, the rest are screwed. No others even have a change to make things right between themselves and God. Interesting, so the uncountable number that stands before the throne of God dressed all in white are not the “select.” I am flabbergasted. These “select” can even be a friend to the world and God will not see them as the enemy. That is just amazing.
This is the most surprising thing of all. God broke His promise. The Creator of the universe who has never broken any promises, broke one. I ….. I ……. I …… just don’t know what to say. What is even more shocking, that shattered promise was to Israel. I am speechless.

All these shocking things I have just mentioned. The “select,” the broken promise, the long time frame for the so called “tribulation.” These are the words of a false prophet, a false teacher, and these are real words that have been spoken, and there are those that believe and feel they are these “select.”
What we are warned to be alert for and to avoid, yet there are those that do not know the word well enough and have fallen prey to these teachings that are leading them into damnation.
The Bible when read in context and the correct research is a wondrous book. It teaches to humble ourselves and to love other, but at the same time it does not tell us to just allow them to live in sin either. That is unless they fully reject God and are unwilling in any form to hear the truth.
Are we nearing the end times? The Bible states that there will be signs that as we come near to the soon return of Christ, and at this time as in no other time in history, it is pointing to His soon return. One of these signs will be the flourishing of false prophets and teachers.
Are we in the Tribulation? There will be clear signs when we are in the Tribulation. None have come to pass as of the writing of this article. Nor is it something I wish to be in. for there will not be “spiritual death” as one of these false teachers states, but physical death of around 3.7 billion people. Due in large part to the earth itself violently changing as well as other events that will take a long time to explain, so that is a topic for another time. If you wish to get some insight I suggest you pick up the commentaries by John F. Walvoord on the book of Revelation, Daniel and Matthew.
As to this “select” issue. The Bible does mention 144000, people who will receive a mark from God. This is what the Bible says:
Revelation 7:1 (NLT) – Then I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds so they did not blow on the earth or the sea, or even on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel coming up from the east, carrying the seal of the living God. And he shouted to those four angels, who had been given power to harm land and sea, 3 “Wait! Don’t harm the land or the sea or the trees until we have placed the seal of God on the foreheads of his servants.” 4 And I heard how many were marked with the seal of God—144,000 were sealed from all the tribes of Israel: 5 from Judah 12,000, from Reuben 12,000, from Gad 12,000, 6 from Asher 12,000, from Naphtali 12,000, from Manasseh 12,000, 7 from Simeon 12,000, from Levi 12,000, from Issachar 12,000, 8 from Zebulun 12,000, from Joseph 12,000, from Benjamin 12,000.
These as you can see come from Israel. So to say that God broke His promise to Israel is evidence of a false teaching. These 144000 are to be witnesses to the events that are to befall the planet earth and they shall see it all. So once the Tribulation is past they can teach those that survive, and the survivor’s offspring the truth of those that rejected God and His Son the Lord Jesus Christ. These sealed Israelites could be called the “select,” but not to separate them from the world, but to see to learn, and to show that God always keeps His promises.
As I mentioned before. What of those in the white garments before the throne of God? White robes of the redeemed, those who turned to God and His Son and are called blessed. Their number is beyond counting, yet they are not all that walk the earth. For if this were true there would be no need of a Tribulation and this death of billions.
Revelation 7:9 (KJV) – After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
These are those that saw the light and turned to God, yet they are not the “select.”
The Bible states clearly that you cannot live within the sins of the world and be a friend of God. In fact you are called the enemy of God if you befriend the world and those within it.
James 4:4 (NLT) – You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. 5 Do you think the Scriptures have no meaning? They say that God is passionate that the spirit he has placed within us should be faithful to him. 6 And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” 7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. 9 Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.
So read the Bible. Come to know the Bible. Come to understand that all are welcome, but they must stop living in sin, to repent. They must humble themselves to the point of weeping for the same they must feel for living in sin and defying God Himself. Then they must ask Jesus into their heart, mind, and soul and to honor and love God by following the teachings of the Bible.

The love of the myth

Why are they so enamored of the myth? The superhero, the fairy tale, the science fiction.
Because they have nothing else that fills the need to be better than how they see that they are. They hate the mundane, for that is all that they have ever seen or ever expect to see.
Yet this is not all.
They do not need to look for the excitement and release they find upon the screen or within a novel. Some have been told you can find satisfaction within a church. Yet it is not there. So when they are told to look to the Bible they don’t believe and so laugh and turn away from those that say this.
Instead many turn to the sci-fi and the fantasy. Dressing like their favorite character and wishing to be that very being, yet never able to make it. Never able to fully feel they have accomplished their desire. Then they must return to their dull and how they see it empty life. Not seeing that they are living a test. An examine to see if they are worthy to actually in away live their fantasies.
Here are the things that the perfect body is promised to us:
It is immortal
It can travel great distances in the blink of an eye
It can enter lock rooms.
Yet it will be able to walk and talk and eat just like we do now.
However when you tell them the way to achieve this perfect immortal body they call you a liar and someone who is living in a myth, a fantasy, as they go to learn Klingon and Elven.
The language of the Bible is something worth to learn and to understand. But to them it is a pariah, a blasphemy.
For them it must be the alien, the super being, the vampire for that is where reality is. It can’t be in the Bible and they must do what it says to achieve their glory and satisfaction in that which they seek.
They call the Bible a myth yet it has been shown to be the most factual historical document ever written. But still they would rather accept the myth they have been told for it allows them to live their lives as they want to. They can seek after their lust and pleasures as they want to. Not realizing all they are doing is enjoying the moment instead of planning for the eternal life that we will all live.
The only difference being that those that accept the true myth, the true fantasies will have an eternity of pain and sorrow, not joy and happiness.

Controlling the narrative

I just encountered an article which stated that those in power in Catholicism were hiding and rewriting history. Since the Catholic Church is the largest Christian based religion at 1.2 billion people. The person’s prospective was an Atheist one as well as nor fully informed of the facts. However they did cause me to think, which is what we are to do.
As I stated to a friend that had commented upon the article, I do not doubt that those within the Vatican have strived to pursue their own agendas and goals. This was proven and as a resulted the Reformation took place. It must also be noted that we use Greek when translating the New Testament. Since Catholicism uses Latin this begs the question of why? The answer to this also confirms that it was those in power within the Catholic Church to control the masses. A majority of the Latin variation of the book of the Bible were found to be flawed and inaccurate. So it became the consensus of the scholars of the Bible to stick to the eastern Roman Empire manuscripts instead of the western empire or as it came to be known the Roman Catholic Church.
This fact destroys the articles premise that the Bible has been doctored and is still flawed at this time. However it doesn’t remove suspicion from the Vatican, which is documented to adding things never found within the Bible and requiring rituals that again cannot be supported by the Bible.
Now that it is shown that the Catholic Church has done things in order to control those that follow their rules, this does not leave the person that wrote the article free and clear since it is shown that the article is flawed.
Within the article we once again hear the mythology of ancient aliens. I always fall back upon the liberal academia’s own wording of how a myth comes to be. Per them a historical event can become a myth if it is written about 150 year after the event took place. We know that the flood, which is the key element of the person article took place between 3000 to 2800 B.C. So that is well beyond 150 years and the context of the article dealt with the pre-flood culture. The person even mentions giants. Well it is shown that when angels mated with human females, giants were the result and it is said they did exist in great number before the flood. This person’s myth of aliens is design to remove God and the Bible from the narrative. Why?
This is all part of the progressive agenda, which wish to control their own version of the narrative so they can promote their own myths to control the masses.
This is why those within the Democratic Party have been caught showing a total dislike of the Catholic Church. For they are in conflict with each other. Not for God, but for those within the Catholic Church. They encourage false and uniformed narratives like ancient aliens for this displaces God and cause humans to look to humans to rule and control them.
What is needed is that people need to learn the Bible for themselves. To think for themselves and not let anyone from the person on the dais to the person in an oval office to dictate to them how they are to live, act and feel. There is only one being that deserves to be listened to and that is God who created the entire universe. Nature is God. Time is God. The Bible is God.
God gave us a way to commune with Him and that is His Son the Lord Jesus Christ. If we should listen to anyone or anything then we should listen to the one book that was written in under 150 years after the event took place. That is the Bible. People still lived when the letters that form the New Testament were written that saw Jesus. That knew the apostle and were and were the apostles. Yet people say the Bible is the myth? When did they start saying this? After the 150 year mark. So it is they that are making the myths, not the Bible. That is the narrative that needs to be listened to and controlled.

Confessions of a screwed up middle aged man: The tight rope

I go through this world. Struggling against its temptations and distractions. As I have grown in my knowledge of the Word of God I see what is of the world and of its present master.
People have forgotten that at this time due to the actions of Eve and Adam we are cursed. A curse that can look like a blessing. Blinding them to what is true and what is truly real.
What are these blessing that are in reality not? Wealth, prestige, fame, luxuries, debt. As each of these things is required even in what could be called “the right states of mind.” It reduces that which we are promised once we move on to the next level of existence we are promised by God Himself.
I have come to see these vices. Some have come at a great cost. Others have come through truly learning the Bible. Yet still the world attacks. But I must not yield, as those that do not truly understand do without even realizing that they have.
We are told not to be a part of the world, yet to walk through it all the same. We are to be separate yet of, and it is that fine line that we must walk that many if not most fall from.
Most have never been taught of this tight rope they must labor to stay upon. Largely none have even climb the ladder that leads to the rope itself, and are drowning in the waters at the foot of the ladder.
Waters that are nothing but lies and confusion. Waters that carry them this way and that never letting them catch their breath as they struggle to keep their heads above the rolling waves, that constantly threaten to pull them to their eternal deaths. Mostly, all the time not aware of their very plight. Blinded by the curses of the world. Reaching for them rather than the ladder when it comes into their view if they could even see it.
All I can do is call out. Yelling that the ladder is this way, toward the light of God. However, most are so blind that they are repelled instead of drawn toward my voice and all I can do is cry in sorrow.

That is the state that many that call themselves “Christian” find they are in. Why is this?
It is due to not knowing or truly understanding the Bible.
Many will question this, some may become angered, but all I have to say is that if you are bewildered, confused and feel misled, then you do not know the Bible.
Most rely upon others to tell them what this part of the Bible says, or how Jesus would respond to this or that.
A prime example of this was given by the Democratic candidate. Someone who states to have been a Sunday school teacher. Misquoted the Bible, either unintentionally or maybe intentionally. She said:
“The greatest commandant is to love.” That is partly true, for the rest of the verse is extremely important and give an entirely different message.
Matthew 22: 37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.”
As you can see these have two different meanings. Her version means to love everyone, very hippie mentality by the way, but the true version means to love GOD, and to do that means you must follow the teachings of His Son and ask Jesus into your heart to be your Savior.
This is why it is important to learn the Bible for yourself and not from others for as you can see they can give you a message that is something that can lead you into the pit and to death for all eternity, while the real meaning can lead you into eternal life.

Out of nowhere it seems

Ever since this episode of the vulgarity of the Republican candidate came to light. Suddenly the realization that many that say they are “Christian” are having doubts, are questioning what is real. Are set-a-back by the fact that they may not be where they should be with God.
Well, all I can say is. It is about time.
Yet do I still feel that enough have awoken to the truth or are even asking the right questions?
Too many have become seduced by the world. Too many seek more possessions. Too many seek after the latest fad or items. Too many spend what money they have on the luxuries of the world. Too many spend their time worshiping sports as they should be worshiping the Creator of all.
Too many are the lukewarm. Too many are hypocrites.
This is the reality. This is the truth.
I will say this again so that those willing to listen may hear. If you say you are “Christian” and vote Democratic you are nowhere near being Christian. For that party supports human sacrifice known as abortion. That party supports all sins most of which are told within the Bible will not be welcome within heaven.
I understand that people make their own choices to either live in sin or not. We cannot dictate to them not to live in sin if that is their desire, their lust.
But when we condone it. When we show support for their choices by supporting an organization dedicated to establishing a world in their eyes “free of God.” Than for those that call themselves “Christian” and vote for any in this group are in essence stating that they are right and God is wrong. They are saying that the creation is better than the creator. (See Romans 1)
Yet this is only part of the problem.
We have those that ran without looking back toward a mere mortal and cried out to the world that he was their savior. Any that doubted them were the true sinner the true unfaithful to their new savior and should be rejected outright.
Now reality is coming to roost for many out there as they find their shining knight has tarnished, rusted and dirty armor. The paint is washing off of his white charger.
This is what happens when you turn from God and seek after what is of His creation. Yet this is how most that call themselves “Christian” live day to day. Now many have a misconception of what being a Christian really means. They honest think that going to church once a week is enough. This is a lie.
Once again I point out what is called the greatest commandment by Jesus Christ Himself. We are to love GOD with all our heart, all our mind and all our soul.
What does that mean?
With our hearts we love God with all our heart and continually.
With our minds we think of God constantly. Learning and memorizing scripture and the meaning of the words of the Bible in their original languages, Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic.
With our souls we show our love to God by asking Jesus Christ to be our Savior and to follow the teachings of the Bible. Striving daily to repent of all our sins and to live more and more like Christ every day.
This is where the majority of our efforts should be.
God First, our spouse second, our family third and all else somewhere down the line.
Does this mean we require the best of everything? Actually no.
All we require is what will carry us to the next day. A simple shelter, food, clothing and a way to get around.
The Bible makes this very clear with the encounter with the rich man. He asks Jesus, after showing that he is faithful and true to God, what is required to guarantee his entry into heaven. Jesus instructed him to sell everything and give it to the poor and then come and follow Him.
The rich man went away disheartened. Then Christ made it clear that those that seek after riches will have a harder time entering into the eternal life than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle.
Are you willing to sell everything?
Are you willing to give up your sports, your golf, your home, your car, your club memberships, your expensive trips?
This is what is required by most that call themselves “Christian.”
I have done it and I still have more to do, but at least I have done the most important part, and I have following Jesus Christ my Savior as the Bible teaches all that are willing to do so.

Ok time to listen

Do not assume.
Read the Bible yourself
I don’t mean read a verse here or there. I mean READ the Bible.
Learn the meaning of the words as they were originally written in the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. (Bet you didn’t know parts of the Old Testament were not all in Hebrew.)
Take them in context to the events and teachings be taught by Christ or the writers of the books within the Bible. The only exception to this is Proverbs.
An example of context: This woman I encountered kept throwing out to me “Go sell all your good and give to the poor!”
She had no concept of that within what it was referring to within the Bible.
Another example: “You shall not judge!”
Again out of context.
The first was the story of the rich man and Jesus. The rich man said he followed all the commandments. Christ believed him. Jesus said that he needed to do one more thing, go sell all his property and possessions, give them to the poor and follow Him. By the way the guy didn’t.
As to the “judgment card” as I love to call it.
In 2 Timothy 4:1-5 we are instructed to reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. This, people take as “judging.”
The verse that discusses “judging” is about hypocrisy. The person accusing his fellow of sin was living in the same exact sin. Christ instructed the person to remove their own sin before confronting others.
I must add that when you reprove, rebuke, and exhort, you are doing so using the Bible as a foundation thus the word “doctrine.” So when someone actually accuses you of “judging” they are in actuality accusing God of judging them, not you, when you are grounded in your stance with the Bible. These are just two examples, yet there are many more. Too many more.
To know you are on the right path. You must be willing to accept that even though saved you will still sin. However this is not a license to remain in this sin. You must strive to remove this sin from your life. Some sins will be easy to get rid of. Other sins, especially sin that actually not only affect you but those that you have ever been in contact with or ever will be in contact with. Sins I have called “overwhelming sin,” are sins that can be extremely difficult to leave behind.
When we are instructed to repent. We must understand that repentance is an action that God requires those committing the sin to do to show that they truly seek to place God at the core of their life.
In the New Testament there are two versions of the word repent used.
Most of the time it is the word “metanoeo” defined as:
“I repent, change my mind, change the inner man (particularly with reference to acceptance of the will of God), repent.” From Biblehub
The other version is “metamellomai” again from Biblehub it is translated as:
“I change my mind (generally for the better), repent, regret”
Note both times it is the person making the change, not God, but the person turning to God through Jesus Christ.
Once someone with all their heart commits to following God and ask Christ to be their Savior, just accepting the salvation is not enough. It requires works.
The Bible states faith alone is not enough it is faith and works.
James 2:14 – What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? 15 Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, 16 and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? 17 So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. 18 Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.” 19 You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. 20 How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless? 21 Don’t you remember that our ancestor Abraham was shown to be right with God by his actions when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see, his faith and his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete. 23 And so it happened just as the Scriptures say: “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.” He was even called the friend of God. 24 So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone. 25 Rahab the prostitute is another example. She was shown to be right with God by her actions when she hid those messengers and sent them safely away by a different road. 26 Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works.
Any who tell you all you need is to believe and nothing else is sentencing you to damnation, not salvation.
If you live in sin and have no desire to remove the sin from your life, then the question must be asked: Are you even really saved?
When you are manifestly changed by your broken and heartfelt choice to follow Christ. You will choose on your own to turn from sin.
The Bible shows prove of this:
1 Corinthians 6:9 – Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. 11 Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
If two thousand years ago these people could turn from their sins, some very extreme sins, why can’t you?
The answer is you can and will desire to do so if you truly accept Jesus Christ as your Savior.

We are to compare all we hear to the Bible for it is the words of the Groom

When you accept Christianity and ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior you are entering into a covenant. Christians are described as the bride of Christ. It is a marriage. When you look at the relationship of marriage between humanity within the Bible it states that those marrying will depart from the parents and join together to be one. To be of one mind and one flesh.
To be of one mind we must know how the other person thinks and feels. How do we do this with Jesus Christ? The answer to that is simple we read the Bible.
Now many use the excuse that they do not have time to read the Bible. Other say that they go to church and listen their pastor, priest, minister. Neither of these methods is acceptable. For it is up to those that asked Jesus into their hearts to learn and have a personal relationship with Him. This can only be accomplished by knowing the Word of God ourselves. That way we cannot be led astray when someone says something that is not Biblical.
Yet millions call themselves “Christian” and have no idea of the true teachings of the Bible.
In James they are called what they truly are: adulterers, for they have betrayed their vow unto the Lord and have embraced the here and the now. The objects and places within this temporal world. They lust after that which will be eaten by moths and rust into nothingness. For that is truly what it is nothing.
They crave the momentary satisfaction over the eternal and everlasting.
Yet if you confront them with the truth you are the villain, you are the enemy, and you are the evil one for you cannot be right. Yet your foundation is the Bible. Your firmament is the Son of God. So if we are the villain and we are evil, yet we are of Christ, who are they calling the villain and evil? It is not us, but Christ Himself. Any that calls Christ the enemy has a different master and lover. That master only desires to tear you down and destroy you yet all the time sweetly talking to you and lulling you into weakness so you can be overwhelmed and destroyed.

Here are some facts that most that try to say that Jesus is not real need to come to understand.

One person questioned how do Christians account for three days?
Answer is first you need to not think in Roman calendar days and dates and start to think in Jewish calendar days and dates.
Jewish days go from sundown to sundown. Also you need to follow events.
On Friday Jesus was crucified and died on that day. Since His soul was no longer in His body, His body is considered dead. So He is dead on Friday, day one.
He is still dead upon Saturday, day two. The Bible states he rose from the dead upon the third day. Sunday is the third day and he did arise from the dead and exit the tomb upon this day. This matches the Bible and events as well as prophesies.
Why is the Sabbath on Sunday and not Saturday? The answer is due to the resurrection taking place upon Sunday. It is to show the acceptance of the risen Christ as the Savior of humanity and so this is why Sunday is seen as holy.
The creed which state the order of those that saw the risen Christ is shown to have been written down as early as 8 years after Easter Sunday. Most were alive that were mentioned and could be confronted personally and asked to prove or deny that Jesus had risen from the dead. NONE REFUTED IT.
There are those that state a mass vision. This statement in itself is ludicrous. Also a key element in the creed is that five hundred (500) at one time saw Christ alive after his reported death.
Finally the documentation outside the Bible:
About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he was one who performed surprising deeds and was a teacher of such people as accept the truth gladly. He won over many Jews and many of the Greeks. He was the Christ. And when, upon the accusation of the principal men among us, Pilate had condemned him to a cross, those who had first come to love him did not cease. He appeared to them spending a third day restored to life, for the prophets of God had foretold these things and a thousand other marvels about him. And the tribe of the Christians, so called after him, has still to this day not disappeared.
Flavius Josephus: Antiquities of the Jews, Book 18, Chapter 3, 3
And now Caesar, upon hearing the death of Festus, sent Albinus into Judea, as procurator. But the king deprived Joseph of the high priesthood, and bestowed the succession to that dignity on the son of Ananus, who was also himself called Ananus. Now the report goes that this eldest Ananus proved a most fortunate man; for he had five sons who had all performed the office of a high priest to God, and who had himself enjoyed that dignity a long time formerly, which had never happened to any other of our high priests. But this younger Ananus, who, as we have told you already, took the high priesthood, was a bold man in his temper, and very insolent; he was also of the sect of the Sadducees, who are very rigid in judging offenders, above all the rest of the Jews, as we have already observed; when, therefore, Ananus was of this disposition, he thought he had now a proper opportunity. Festus was now dead, and Albinus was but upon the road; so he assembled the sanhedrin of judges, and brought before them the brother of Jesus, who was called Christ, whose name was James, and some others; and when he had formed an accusation against them as breakers of the law, he delivered them to be stoned: but as for those who seemed the most equitable of the citizens, and such as were the most uneasy at the breach of the laws, they disliked what was done; they also sent to the king, desiring him to send to Ananus that he should act so no more, for that what he had already done was not to be justified; nay, some of them went also to meet Albinus, as he was upon his journey from Alexandria, and informed him that it was not lawful for Ananus to assemble a sanhedrin without his consent. Whereupon Albinus complied with what they said, and wrote in anger to Ananus, and threatened that he would bring him to punishment for what he had done; on which king Agrippa took the high priesthood from him, when he had ruled but three months, and made Jesus, the son of Damneus, high priest.
