Just so we all understand from the start. Judas was chosen by Christ. Aka saved.

Judas was sent out to teach the Truth. He cast out to demon and healed the sick:

Mark 6:7-13 NKJV – And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits. He commanded them to take nothing for the journey except a staff—no bag, no bread, no copper in their money belts— but to wear sandals, and not to put on two tunics. Also He said to them, “In whatever place you enter a house, stay there till you depart from that place. And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!” So they went out and preached that people should repent. And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them.

Christ said he was clean. Aka saved.

John 15:1-6 NKJV – “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

What else do we learn from the verses we just heard in addition to the fact that Judas was clean when he heard this message? The answer: He stopped abiding in the Vine who is Jesus Christ. These verses, in other words, were a warning to Judas to not stop abiding in Jesus, which he eventually did. He chose to abandon his salvation. Aka he was no longer saved. Which millions eventually do, for humans are fickle as was made clear in Hosea.

Hosea 1:2 NKJV – When the LORD began to speak by Hosea, the LORD said to Hosea: “Go, take yourself a wife of harlotry And children of harlotry, For the land has committed great harlotry By departing from the LORD.”

For those that call themselves “Christian” have committed great harlotry by departing from the Lord. This is why Peter said this:

2 Peter 2:20-22 NKJV – For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A DOG RETURNS TO HIS OWN VOMIT,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

Any who says they cannot lose their salvation are saying they no longer sin.

1 John 1:8-10 NKJV – If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Millions actually call Jesus Christ a liar and are equal to Judas. They have taken their thirty silver and say they are one with Christ and have no need of anything.

Revelation 3:15-17 NKJV – “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked—

Their earthly riches. Their earthly wealth is their thirty silver. Accordingly, like Judas, they are vomited from the Body of Christ. The are removed from the Vine and cast into the fire.

Christ makes it a very clear division. It is cold or hot. It is black or white. It is God or money.

Luke 16:13-15 NKJV – “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

What is highly esteemed among men?

1 John 2:15-16 NLT – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

They seek after and are rewarded with these things that never came from the Father. Never came from Jesus. They no longer abide in Christ.

What is required to show you desire to abide in the Vine who is Jesus Christ?

Mark 10:17-21 NKJV – Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. You know the commandments: ‘DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY,’ ‘DO NOT MURDER,’ ‘DO NOT STEAL,’ ‘DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘HONOR YOUR FATHER AND YOUR MOTHER.'” And he answered and said to Him, “Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.” Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”

“Go your way. Sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross and follow Me.”

Note: the young rich man followed the commandments. He put on the show that he was following God, for we are all called to follow the commandments if we love Christ.

John 14:15 NKJV – “If you love Me, keep My commandments.

To show our devotion to God through Jesus Christ we are to downsize, for this is a commandment from Christ Himself. Yet, millions ignore this command, for it is not meant for them. They are allowed to keep their thirty silver. They are allowed to be the lukewarm and keep their riches and wealth.

What was Christ answer to this belief?

Mark 10:23-25 NKJV – Then Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!” And the disciples were astonished at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is for those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

This is the Judas effect. They can keep their riches. For they are not the young rich man. However, they ignore the Wording of these verses.

“How hard it is for those who trust in riches.”

“Those” is reference to any who seek after and keep earthly wealth. For they trust in their riches more than they trust in God through Jesus Christ.

Any who seeks after the huge house, the fancy clothes, and expensive vehicles show where their loyalties lie. Which is why it will be hard for them to enter into the kingdom of God. They would rather keep their thirty silver than to throw it away so they can enter freely into the presence of God. This is why Christ says this in Luke:

Luke 14:33 NKJV – So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

Any seeking after wealth pursues to be Judas. They seek to no longer abide in Christ willingly, because their comfort, their status, their possessions are something that they can see and hold on to. For they don’t see their Savior, and since they cannot see Him, abiding in Him is not of any value to them. Their eternal life offers no dividends to them now. For their focus is not upon their eternal life, but their temporal life, which means they are fixated upon their death. Not temporal, but eternal. For the mentality of those that pursue their Savior follow a different path:

2 Corinthians 5:1-10 NKJV – For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.”

“Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.”

To be well pleasing to Him is to follow His commandments, which includes downsizing as well as praying in private, never publicly.

As we quickly approach the soon return of our Savior Jesus Christ. It is extremely important to come to understand that we must follow the commands given us by Jesus. Any who refuses these Truths. Any who refuse they can lose their salvation wish to be someone who has taken the thirty silver and sold Christ unto death in their own souls.

However, God through His eternal love for all humanity. Offers us all a chance to repent of our sins and to return to Him. If we accept the Truth and return to Him, if we accepted Him as our Savior, then we will willingly and with vigor seek to be with Him. We do this by submitting to His teachings within the Bible.

God Bless

Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV – “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

This can be measured every Christmas Eve when people look under their tree. If all you can see is boxes or objects and not the tree skirt. You are seeing where your heart is focused, and it is not upon God. This measurement is amplified by the fact that Christmas is supposed to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ the Son of God.

Most show their true desires and affiliation with these gifts. For they show all the world where the focus of these people is located. It is not upon God.

Now I wish to come at this from another angle. Let’s look to 2 Corinthians:

2 Corinthians 5:1-4 NKJV – For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life.

“For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven.”

Those that profess to truly following Christ do not desire to be here on this earth, but in the presence of God. So why seek after gifts under the tree?

The answer is: you shouldn’t.

This should make many feel uncomfortable at this time. However, most will scoff and laugh at what has just been said. For those doing so I refer you to my past podcast #181 (Stop Scoffing if you say you are Christian).

I will now continue with today’s study.

We are taught this in 1 Timothy:

1 Timothy 6:6-8 NKJV – Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

“And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.”

Therefore, you should see more tree skirt than you see presents under the tree.

What should be done with all the rest of the money?

James 1:27 NKJV – Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

1 Timothy 6:17-19 NKJV – Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Something important was said in James 1:27 so I will restate it:

“To keep oneself unspotted from the world.”

This brings us back to presents once again with these verses:

1 John 2:15-16 NLT – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.

When we look at all the decorations, all the parties and all the presents what do we see in these verses?

Physical pleasure? Yes.

A craving in everything people see? Yes

Pride in their in achievements? Yes

As for possessions. I think nothing is worth saying in this issue sense it is so obvious.

What this boils down to is everything people now celebrate does not celebrate only the Son of God but also God who is the Father as is clearly stated in these verses:

“These are not from the Father, but are from this world.”

They do not celebrate Christ; they celebrate the world and he who is the father of it.

2 Corinthians 4:4 NLT – Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

Which explains why Santa wears red and people celebrate it and enjoy doing so. All in the name of the season. Note I didn’t say in the name of Jesus. For they have left Jesus behind long ago.

Once again anger raises its head from the readers and listeners. So, let’s turn to the Word of God:

Galatians 5:19-21 NKJV – Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

First, we have idolatry, then we move on to hatred as well as contentions. We have outbursts of wrath. Because of self-ambitions people seek after more and greater things. What is one thing most do at this time of the year? They have parties which is revelries.

Now, since we have now established you are of the world and celebrate the world and not Christ’s birth. Let us be honest and face the truths of these sins against the Father. So let us look at the last letter in the Book of Revelation.

Revelation 3:15-22 NKJV – “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ‘ “

We are looking to this letter for a simple reason. Redemption, repentance. Repentance from the sin of seeking after presents for yourself and your loved ones. All the while you ignore the poor, the orphaned. Those in dire straits. Sitting in your fancy houses and driving your fancy cars. All the while asking to be vomited out of the Body of Christ instead of seeking to gather your treasures in heaven at the foot of the throne of God.

“Therefore be zealous and repent.” Give those presents to the poor and save one each for your family. Does this cause you and your family emotional pain? This is as it should be. For we all must suffer for the greater good of all humanity.

For the true meaning of the birth of Christ has been forgotten. That He came into this world for the salvation of all. So, they can stand before God without sin.

Yet billions now deny God, and billions more worship false images of what they think is God, but it is not. It is this number because most have denied their calling to discipleship. They seek the thought of salvation but deny their duties to it.

Luke 14:25-33 NKJV – Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it— lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

“Whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.”

“Therefore be zealous and repent.”

For time is running out. The first Rapture is due very shortly. Seek to truly celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and worship God and not the presents under a tree decorated like a pile of treasure, which is absent from before the throne of God.

Discussion

There are still too many wearing blinders. There are still many that wish to challenge God.

Yes, you heard me correctly, challenge God.

How does someone challenge God? That is simple to address.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV – All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

“ALL SCRIPTURE!”

Time and again I encounter those that say, “show me in the Bible where something is stated.”

I show it. They deny what is shown. They insist that they are right, and the Bible verses have no meaning. This is a challenge to God. Not me providing the Bible verses, but them rejecting them and adhering to what they insist is the truth in their eyes.

That is a challenge to God. This is arguing with God.

They do not wish to face the Truth that they are living a lie. If they accept the Truth that would mean they have been living falsely all these years. That their entire life has been for nothing in their eyes. Which again shows their vein selfish perspective of the situation.

It is all about them. They are right and everyone else is wrong. Why? Because they are their own god.

Exodus 20:3 NKJV – “You shall have no other gods before Me.

Most don’t realize that they themselves make themselves their own “god.” It must be their way or the highway. They are unyielding to the Truth, because it is not what they have been taught for years if not decades. From one generation to the next. Yes, you read or heard that correctly. From one generation to the next.

You see most of the people pleasing teachings that have perverted the gospel entered into our belief systems at the beginning of the Reformation. For Martin Luther, even though mostly correct for challenging the Catholic Church, went too far. Ending the demand of following rituals was totally correct, but to go to the other extreme of “faith alone,” which is the total opposite extreme.

This is what the Bible teaches:

James 2:26 NKJV – For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Now, once again works is not the rituals that were being pushed by the Catholics. Then what is “works?”

Matthew 22:37-40 NKJV – Jesus said to him, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

This is the key to works as taught by Christ Himself. As you can tell from these verses this is both faith and works combined. Faith by itself is dead. Works without faith are dead as well. It must be both.

James 2:18 NKJV – But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

“I will show you my faith by my works.”

By following the laws not removed by Christ going to the cross. For to be lawless is how those that live by faith alone live and in turn sin. For they refuse to follow the laws, therefore, all that is required by them is faith alone.

Once again:

James 2:26 NKJV – For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Why is it they are dead? Because they must have it their way and not God’s way. They make themselves their own god as mentioned earlier. They worship themselves and reward themselves. For they are worthy of this worship, because they are righteous and good. For they say there is a God and they believe in Him.

James 2:19-20 NKJV – You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

All who demand it is faith alone show arrogance and pride, for they do not tremble. This brings us to looking at who else challenged God.

John 8:48-59 NKJV – Then the Jews answered and said to Him, “Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?” Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me. And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks and judges. Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.” Then the Jews said to Him, “Now we know that You have a demon! Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and You say, ‘If anyone keeps My word he shall never taste death.’ Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Who do You make Yourself out to be?” Jesus answered, “If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God. Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, ‘I do not know Him,’ I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His word. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Those that insist it is by faith alone, which goes totally against what is taught within the Bible, are like these Israelites nearly two thousand years ago. This is verified in these verses from Jesus Christ who said this:

“Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.”

To keep His Word is done by following the commandments and living as we are taught to live within the Bible. Those who insist that all they need is faith brings a lie to these Words spoken by Christ, just as these people did. It is shown clearly that not only did these people challenge Christ they also sought His death.

Those that embrace faith alone also seek after Christ’s death. If they accept His life is ongoing and eternal they must accept His commands and follow them. As long as Christ is dead to them the commandments are not law but suggestions. Suggestions which can be ignored because they have faith. However, as is shown in the Word of God, this is not the Truth. True faith is reflected by our works which work within the boundaries of the law and the prophets not removed by the cross. This is shown in Galatians chapter five:

Galatians 5:16-26 NKJV – I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

What does the word “conceited” mean?

Conceited – desirous of vain glory – G2755 – kenodoxos – vainglorious, boastful.

  1. Vainglorious – showing too much pride in your own abilities or achievements.

When people believe that they can do anything because God is inside them. This is vanity and conceit.

Now don’t misunderstand me. For the Bible makes clear that we are the temples of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 6:17-20 NKJV – But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Having the Holy Spirit within us means we have Christ within us. This, however, does not give us a license to do as we please. In fact, those that truly have the Holy Ghost within know that to enter into sin would desecrate and defile the Spirit of God. So, consequently, they seek never to sin for it would shame Christ.

Those that challenge Christ insisting they are covered by Grace. They can live as they desire and wish. So, they do not care that they defile the Holy Spirit for their god is not The God, but themselves and they relish living as they so desire and wish.

Christ ran into those like this as well. This led Him to tell the parable of the bad land manager which ended with this:

Luke 16:13-17 NKJV – “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God. “The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail.

Those that embrace faith alone love money and care nothing about the law and the prophets. For them the laws and the prophets are dead. All taken away by Christ, which Jesus never taught. In fact He clear said the opposite:

Matthew 5:17-19 NKJV – “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Those that teach faith alone teach people to break commandments. You can’t have it both ways. You either challenge God or live by both faith and works as is clearly taught by the Bible and in turn God through Jesus Christ via the Holy Spirit.

Repent, return to Christ or stay in the dark till the light shines and exposes your sins.

God Bless

Discussion

One of the biggest issues I encounter within those that profess to being “Christian” is their misuse of the Word of God. They have what could be called: selective hearing. Case in point:

The other day on social media I ran into a posting of Titus 3:5 by itself. So, let’s look at it:

Titus 3:5 NKJV – not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

Many take this to mean they are not required to perform “works of righteousness.” This is a faith alone mentality. This is an OSAS way of thinking.

This is also taken totally out of context, which in turn, turns the Word of God into a lie. Let us look at it in the FULL context:

Titus 3:1-11 NKJV – Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men. But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless. Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition, knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned.

This is the full context. This shows works of righteousness performed by those that profess to being followers of Jesus Christ. However, let’s look at the full perspective given by the sentence that verse five is a part of.

“But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”

This sentence is referring to the coming of Jesus Christ to save all humanity. This does not tell us not to live a righteous life. It actually tells us in full context to live a righteous life through our works.

Once again rituals and works are two different things. Rituals are repetitive actions that do not require true faith. Works are how you live and act every single day. You show where you stand with God through your faith by how you live, which are works. Thus, the admonitions shown in these verses.

Admonitions most refuse to even attempt to do. Like for example following the speed limit. Yes, following the speed limit. As shown in the first verses:

Titus 3:1 NKJV – Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work,

Titus 3:1 NLT – Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good.

Any man-made law that does not go against the Word of God is to be obeyed. Why is this?

Daniel 4:17 NLT – For this has been decreed by the messengers; it is commanded by the holy ones, so that everyone may know that the Most High rules over the kingdoms of the world. He gives them to anyone he chooses—even to the lowliest of people.”

Because God placed them into power. Even Hitler, and Stalin as well as Napoleon. All of whom broke the laws of God. Here those that followed God should have stepped forward and stop them. In fact, many did just that. However, they were few when compared to those that went along with those rules and laws that went against the Word of God. They set in silents and allowed millions to die. All because they were living in earthly comforts and to speak out would remove these earthly riches from them.

Why this world is in the end times is because most that profess to being “Christian” refuse to live righteous lives. Mostly because they have fallen for the lies that many that standing in pulpits teach that they, those sitting in the pews, are not required to do more for God. They teach that they can have their riches and only need to give 10% of their earthly wealth. This is totally opposite what the Word of God teaches.

This is what comes when people take the Word of God out of context. This was addressed to the church in Galita, and how those of the church behaved.

Galatians 1:6-10 NKJV – I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.

A key statement is made in these verses. “To a different gospel, which is not another.” What this is referring to is those that take bits and pieces of the Word of God to create a new gospel which turns it into a people pleasing message that leads people to damnation instead of salvation. This is why those that piecemeal the True Gospel are cursed.

I must note that I have encountered an occurrence where someone took verse ten out of context saying that we as Christians are not to seek to please people. Which, as I have just shown by presenting these verses in context. These verses refer to changing the Word of God.

I encountered yet another example from 2 Corinthians. The person presented just verse 9 for our consideration and even then, they did not give the entire verse.

2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV – “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

The complete verse:

2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV – And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

In full context:

2 Corinthians 12:1-10 NKJV – It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord: I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one was caught up to the third heaven. And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such a one I will boast; yet of myself I will not boast, except in my infirmities. For though I might desire to boast, I will not be a fool; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, lest anyone should think of me above what he sees me to be or hears from me. And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

This shows that we should be humble and not seek self-glorification. This is not a teaching about only living under God’s Grace through Christ. Those that try to teach such a message as shown earlier are to be cursed.

One of the greatest examples of misinformation comes from the gospel of John.

John 3:16 NKJV – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

None will question this that seek to truly follow Christ. In full context:

John 3:16-21 NKJV – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

This is a challenge to seek the light, not just to acknowledge Christ.  To acknowledge Jesus Christ as the light that has come into the world to expose evil. Also, to live again a righteous life, which is why it states: “that his deeds may be clearly seen.”

Deeds – G2041 – ergon – work, task, employment; a deed, action aka works.

James 2:26 NKJV – For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

This is how we expose evil unto the light. By how we live. Being a reflection of Christ by fulfilling His commands.

James 1:22-25 NKJV – But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

Be doers of the Word of God not just hears. Most refuse to accept this. Most would rather be hearers. Most are. Which means most are looking into an imperfect image of themselves. Believing they are destine for heaven when they are really destine for damnation.

Time is running out to repent and become doers of the law. Downsize and then give most your wealth unto those in need and into spreading the True Word of God.

God Bless

Discussion

A few weeks back I did a teaching upon what is called “traditions.” How many in today’s world follow traditions believing they are following God. Christ said:

Matthew 15:1-20 NKJV – Then the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying, “Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.” He answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? For God commanded, saying, ‘HONOR YOUR FATHER AND YOUR MOTHER’; and, ‘HE WHO CURSES FATHER OR MOTHER, LET HIM BE PUT TO DEATH.’ But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God”— then he need not honor his father or mother.’ Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: ‘THESE PEOPLE DRAW NEAR TO ME WITH THEIR MOUTH, AND HONOR ME WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME. AND IN VAIN THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN.’ ” When He had called the multitude to Himself, He said to them, “Hear and understand: Not what goes into the mouth defiles a man; but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.” Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?” But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” Then Peter answered and said to Him, “Explain this parable to us.” So Jesus said, “Are you also still without understanding? Do you not yet understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.”

In today’s study we will focus upon these verses:

“Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”

Those that have embraced traditions instead of the True Word of God are two things. One, they are plants not planted by God. Two, they are also blind.

We glean something very important from these two key elements. That most that profess to being “Christian” were never truly born again. This allows these verses to become clear in their true meaning:

2 Corinthians 4:4 NLT – Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

Case in point:

A person posted “If we want to rise up from the ashes of defeat, we MUST follows God’s plan!”

I commented that means we must downsize and showed this verse:

Mark 10:21 NKJV – Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”

The person replied to my comment with this:

“So, you believe that God’s plan is for all believes to sell everything they have and give to the poor?

I answered with these verses:

1 Timothy 6:6-10 NKJV – Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

1 John 3:17 NKJV – But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV – “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

1 John 2:15-17 NLT – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

This is God’s plan.

I explained the import of being called an “abomination.” That is a kin to being called the antichrist and those that follow that being.

Then, I said:

“So, you tell me…. Does God plan for believers to sell everything?”

He replied:

“No. God intends for us to be good stewards of everything He has provided. This includes giving to the poor, offerings, etc. But also includes taking care of my disabled wife with a roof over her head.”

Only the last statement showed true stewardship. That is a need. That is required. For God promises to meet our needs. This is shown in how we are to pray to God.

Matthew 6:9-13 NKJV – In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those that trespass against us. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

“Give us this day our daily bread.”

This is affirmed in 1 Timothy 6 which I will restate:

1 Timothy 6:6-8 NKJV – Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

Yet this person showed where they stood in their faith, in their belief. It was in this world and in its worldly wealth. They showed their adultery to God, which showed who their friend truly was:

James 4:4 NKJV – Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Yet they are blind to these words. They can’t see them for what they truly are. This is how it is for most, for they didn’t receive their salvation form Jesus Christ, but from a pastor, a priest, a minister. The blind leading the blind. We are to leave them to their own fate. For Christ said so:

Matthew 15:14 NKJV – Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.”

“Let them alone.”

This is not the only time we are told something along these lines:

1 Timothy 6:3-5 NKJV – If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.

“From such withdraw yourself.”

2 Timothy 3:1-5 NKJV – But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

“Having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”

Most that profess to being followers of Christ deny His Words. They argue what is plainly stated by their Savior. They quibble over the meaning of scripture. Just so they can have it their way, for their wants and desires.

Blindly going through life believing they are one with Christ when this is the furthest thing from the Truth.

The blind leading the blind into a ditch. A hole that is as black as their blindness. This is why Christ says this:

Matthew 6:19-24 NKJV – “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

“”The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!”

This is how many perceive what they have been told. It is darkness, blindness. They see light, but all about them is true darkness. They don’t see that it is truly darkness all about them. What they hear from the dais is darkness made to look like light. What they think is greatness is blackness, is sorrow. For they have accepted the lie over the Truth.

They cannot discern the Truth of God’s Word for they have scales upon their eyes.

Acts 9:10-18 NKJV – Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” So the Lord said to him, “Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying. And in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he might receive his sight.” Then Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem. And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name.” But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name’s sake.” And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized.

Repent. Repent now. Downsize now. Keep only what is required. What is needed to live to the next day. Don’t make excuses to try to twist the Word of God. For Christ is soon to return and if you desire to miss what will follow His return follow truly follow All the teachings and commandments within the Bible.

Discussion

One of my greatest sorrows is having someone reject the Truth just because another human shows them the Truth and they decide to reject the Word of God even the Word’s of Jesus Christ Himself.

One of the greatest false teachings that is going around is that all that is needed is God’s grace, and that is all that is required. They say this is the new covenant. The core of the new covenant is found in Luke chapter sixteen.

Luke 16:16 NKJV – “The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.

Here there is a problem. Because those that use this verse and then accuse those that show the error of their ways of not using the Bible in context. So, let us look at this in context.

Christ had just given a parable about caring for the money and property which belongs to someone else. As we actually study this parable the master is God and the money and property are His as well. The core of this message is we are not to keep our wealth unto ourselves but use it for God since it is truly His money and property that we are given stewardship over.

This leads to this being said by Jesus:

Luke 16:13 NKJV – “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”

Which leads to this action by the Pharisees and Christ response.

Luke 16:14-17 NKJV – Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him.

Let’s look deeper into parts of this.

“Everyone is pressing into it.”

Passeth – G971 – biazó – to force, to crowd oneself into, come forward violently.

What this is saying is that all have now been forced into the law that was originally only for the Jewish people. This is made very clear in the next verse:

“And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail.”

This is saying that the laws are given to all humanity, and they must follow them as well. This new covenant is for ALL and ALL are required to follow those laws which were not taken away by the death and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. These laws are governed by these verses:

Matthew 22:37-40 NKJV – Jesus said to him, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Yet millions misquote Luke 16:16, take it out of context. Because they don’t understand all the words within it. Or more accurately denying the truth so it would allow them to sin freely. Believing they were one with God through their faith in grace.

All the while denying what we are taught in the book of James.

James 2:14-26 NKJV – What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS ACCOUNTED TO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS.” And he was called the friend of God. You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

What this means is that once we receive God’s grace by accepting Christ as our Savior. We are required to take an active role in our part of our salvation. This is shown in John 15.

John 15:1-10 NKJV – “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

However, many would rather attack and belittle those speaking the Truth rather than accept what the Bible teaches. They get angry and cause conflict because what is being said means they have been wrong. They don’t want to accept the trap they have made for themselves. A trap much like a bear trap, but instead of entrapping their leg it has ensnared their very soul. Their anger against those speaking the Truth is like they are biting and tearing at their own limb that is stuck in the trap. Tearing at it to free themselves from the steel jaws trapping them.

What is worse is their emotional response is verification that what they have accepted is a lie that is truly leading them to damnation instead of toward the salvation they imaged they were headed toward. Here are the verses giving this validation.

They show hatred for those that tells them the Truth. They respond in an outburst of wrath. They cause contention between others that are seeking the Truth making it nearly impossible for people to communicate as equals. Each of these actions is a bite and a tear into their leg that is caught in the trap of damnation instead of on the journey to salvation they thought they were upon.

They must study the Bible. Not read it study it. They must accept the Truth.

First, salvation can be lost.

Second, they are not the center of the universe. God is.

They must surrender to God and make Him the center of their life. They must follow the teachings of Jesus Christ when it comes to discipleship. They must truly count the cost and pay the price required.

Luke 14:26-33 NKJV – “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

“So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.”

What is all they have?

Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV – “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

They must surrender what the world offers.

1 John 2:15-17 NLT – Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

James 3:13-17 NKJV – Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

I pray they will awaken. I pray they will come to hear the real and complete Truth. Sooner rather than later. For time is running out. Christ is soon to return. So many will be left behind. I know this already, but I don’t want to accept this. I must try to help. I must try to awaken them to the True Word of God. Accepting that salvation can be lost. I don’t wish any to have their names removed from the Book of Life. I know the first rapture will be small. I know the next will be in the billions. It is still sad that they must suffer in the tribulation, but that is their choice. As it should be. All due to free-will.

Discussion

In the last podcast I was discussing how many have decided to embrace a type of selective hearing. I mentioned in particular a woman that showed herself to be working in love and kindness. Yet she denied teachings found within the Bible because how one of the letters that now is a book within the New Testament was addressed. I once again return to scripture that per her slant upon the teachings found within the Bible would be limited to only ministers and pastors. Why I say this is because Timothy was the head of the church in Ephesus. This is reinforced by the fact that the two letter to Timothy and the letter to Titus are called the “Pastoral Epistles.” However, here is the verse:

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV – All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

This means that everything that now comprises the Bible is scripture and is for all that profess Christ as their Savior to study and come to learn. To understand that it doesn’t matter to whom the letters were originally meant for. They are now something we must learn and embrace for our betterment.

Once someone says that this is ours and this is not ours adds to creating a false gospel, a false teaching.

Deuteronomy 4:2 NKJV – You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Galatians 1:6-10 NLT – I am shocked that you are turning away so soon from God, who called you to himself through the loving mercy of Christ. You are following a different way that pretends to be the Good News but is not the Good News at all. You are being fooled by those who deliberately twist the truth concerning Christ. Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or even an angel from heaven, who preaches a different kind of Good News than the one we preached to you. I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed. Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.

Christ makes it totally clear where a person’s love is when they chose to have selective reading of the scriptures:

John 14:23-24 NKJV – Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.

These Words spoken by Christ tie right back in with those for 2 Timothy so I will say them one again:

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV – All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

One of the biggest elements that fills the minds of those who choose to ignore all scripture is that they wish to believe that just because they believe they are set for true and complete salvation.

James 2:19 NKJV – You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

Those that embrace faith alone are stating they are on the same level as demons. Could this be the reason why this is said?

James 2:26 NKJV – For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

It is here that we must once again come into an understanding of what “works” is. They are not rituals, but how we live our lives every single day as we strive to be a living example unto the world.

Titus 2:7-8 NKJV – in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility, sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.

Matthew 5:14-16 NKJV – “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

1 Timothy 4:11-13 NKJV – These things command and teach. Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

This is works going hand and hand with faith. Living the life as a child of God. Day in and day out. Following all of Gods teachings.

In the last eight years of my life God as place several people before me from all aspects. Believers and non-believers. Pastors, deacons, evangelists and your everyday person who professed to being “Christian.”

I have talked to them. Worked with them. Dined with them. Befriended them. Even Confronted them.

I came to a sad conclusion. Most were stuck in their belief and mentality of how God worked and worked with them. Most were off the mark. Some of these by only a slight degree others to the point of cultic believes that were totally counter to what is written within the Bible. Most showed their desire to chase after money more than God. Many knew more about sports than the Bible.

As to those that were non-believers, they found me an enigma. I didn’t fit their mold of what they expected someone who professing to be a “Christian” to behave and act toward them. I had a “trans” person talk to me one day as we walked to a co-worker’s anniversary party. I was friendly and cordial. The next day the person didn’t come in and was out of work for several months. Read into that what you want.

My greatest disappointment came from those that professed to being followers of Christ. They showed more of the flesh than of the Spirit they professed to follow.

Galatians 5:19-23 NKJV – Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Those that professed to being children of God were hurt and astonished by what they believed and is the Truth found within the Bible. Their actions and reactions showing more ignorance of the Word of God than some of the non-believers. They believed things in some cases that didn’t even exist within the Bible. So, this begs the question. Are they really follows of Christ? Because their believes can’t be found within the Bible but in their own image of what is found within that image.

Isaiah 29:13 NKJV – Therefore the Lord said: “Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths And honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men,

What they think is the Biblical, is Godly. What they believe comes from Jesus Christ isn’t. They hear all is love. All are welcome into heaven as long as they commit  to Him and of course give their 10% tithe. This by the way is not Christianity. This is religion wearing a façade of Christianity. it is this religion that says that all that is required is faith.

2 Peter 2:1-14 NKJV – But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber. For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)— then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord. But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption, and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you, having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children.

Within these verses we come to understand that God through His Son will not just Save people but judge them.

2 Timothy 4:1 KJV – I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:

John 12:44-50 NKJV – Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak.”

Now when we return to 2 Timothy 3:16-17 we need to come to an understanding for “all scripture.” I wish to shed a bit of light of this from another book in the New Testament:

John 1:1-5 NKJV – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Christ is the Word, and the Word is all scripture. Not certain books within the Bible, but the entire Bible. Therefore, when someone rejects part of the Bible, they are fully rejecting He who is the Word.

Matthew 10:32-33 NKJV – “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

Christ said this:

John 14:15 NKJV – “If you love Me, keep My commandments.

Consequently, if the Bible says:

James 2:26 NKJV – For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Even though written by James it is actually Christ speaking through the Holy Spirit. Telling all that those that live by faith alone are dead. However, those that follow all the teachings given within the Bible, which includes all the commandments that pass the litmus test of Matthew 22:37-40 are works that we should strive to fulfill and complete to the best of our ability.

it is time to embrace the entire Bible and follow all the teachings within it. To be the light unto the world. Living a life that shows us to be a reflection of Christ and in no way a reflection of the world. What is truly and completely sad is most that reflect more of the world than Christ profess to being “Christian.” They are the lukewarm per Revelation 3:14-16. That Christ already sees them as dead per Revelation 3:1-5. Yet in both these letters He gives them an out. That they must repent. As seen in the last letter of the seven churches this means to get rid of worldly wealth and to seek true obedience to the Word of God. Time is nearly up. There is not more time to have a long journey of sanctification. It must happen now and must happen quickly or face eternal damnation.

God Bless.

Discussion

The other day on social media a person posted a meme that said this:

“Most ‘Christians’ are going to hell.”

This caused quite a storm in the comments below it. The verses referenced in this meme were:

Matthew 7:21 NKJV – “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

and

Luke 6:46 NKJV – “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?

I learned long ago that those that protested against this meme showed one thing. I have referenced these verses in the past, but I see I must do so again:

Galatians 5:19-21 NKJV – Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

You see those that countered this meme showed hatred. They experienced an outburst of wrath. They were causing dissension.  So, in essence they pronounced to all where they were not with God through Jesus Christ and that they were on the broad road and not the narrow path.

Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV – “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Which I may add gives further support from the Word of God for the meme that started this tempest of complaints.

Now there was one slight outlier to this situation. This person didn’t truly argue, but the evidence she presented was aimed at pure faith.

I replied with one verse.

James 2:26 NKJV – For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Her response to this was truly depressing to me to say the least.

Her reply went like this:

“You do see who James was talking to here in this letter correct? ‘James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings.’ this was aimed for the twelve tribes of Israel.”

This response is how many, especially those that embrace the false teaching of “once saved always saved” think and believe. They cut themselves off from those Scriptures which shows that salvation can be lost and as a result will lead to the Lake of fire. Which again gives verification to the meme that started this entire whirlwind of complaints. It also cuts them off from teaches which instructs them to not horde or keep their worldly wealth to themselves.

My reply to her was to the point.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV – All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

“All Scripture.”

This means that people cannot say that this part of the Bible was aimed at this group or that group. If we accept Christ as our Savior and we choose to follow His teachings and those of His chosen apostles. Then we must follow all that is found within the Bible especially if it causes us discomfort.

For those that deny that we are required to follow all the commandments given within the Bible that were not removed by the cross and pass the litmus test of the greatest commandments:

Matthew 22:37-40 NKJV – Jesus said to him, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

When they say things like “it is by faith alone.” they are saying that Christ came to destroy the commandments, but Christ said this:

John 14:15 NKJV – “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

and

Matthew 5:17-19 NKJV – “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

So those that deny the teachings of Christ have in essence denied Him for He is the Word of God:

John 1:1 NKJV – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

And what does Christ say about those that deny Him?

Matthew 10:33 NKJV – But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

Therefore, if Christ has denied them to His Father. Our Lord and Creator: God. Then are we not cut off from Him?

The answer is simple and goes to one of the verses referenced in the meme:

Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV – “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

As I have presented before. One of the key elements found in these verses are these words:

“Cast out demons in Your name.”

This is Christ reply for this found later in the book of Matthew:

Matthew 12:24-30 NKJV – Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.” But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.

Since they cast out demons, they were at one point “Christian.” Yet now they are not known to Christ. AKA they are no longer “Christian.”

What did Jesus Christ teach about abiding in Him:

If you want full details about what it means to abide in Christ look to podcast #139. A key element that must be made clear though is that a person cannot be upon the True Vine unless they are born again. Also as shown in these verses if a person does not bear fruit AKA “works” like following all the teachings given by Christ and His apostles then they do not bear fruit and will be removed and allowed to enter into the Lake of Fire. This is witnessed in the fifth letter in the book of Revelation:

Revelation 3:1-5 NKJV – “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

“He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life”

Let me further translate this part of the verses I just re-read.

If you do not overcome AKA follow the teachings of Christ Jesus. He WILL blot out AKA remove that person’s name from the Book of Life. And what is the fate of those whose names are not found within the Book of Life?

Revelation 20:15 NKJV – And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Which returns us to where we began today’s podcast:

Most of those that profess to being “Christian” are going to hell. I am not judging. I am stating facts. I am quoting the Bible, which was inspired by God.

But understand this:

Only one person can cause someone to go to hell once they have accepted Christ as their Savior, and that is themselves. When you deny any part of the teachings of Christ or when you laugh AKA mock the Word of God you are causing yourself to most likely not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. In that case there is only one other destination. The lake of fire AKA hell.

God Bless

Discussion

I was recently drawn back to one of my blog post I made in 2017. Within it I discuss the breakdown and meaning of the words within verse James 2:20. Today I will read this post into today’s podcast and then expound upon it further.

That is what I have been led to address. It is said twice in James the same wording is used both times in the Greek. So here it goes:

James 2:20 NKJV – But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

Faith – pistis – faith, belief, trust, confidence; fidelity, faithfulness.

In the pure Greek meaning of the word “pistis” it has the actual and passive sense of “trusting” and “worthy of trust.”

Paul placed “pistis” or “faith” at the core of theology. We must remember that Paul was originally a Pharisee and had persecuted early Christians before his encounter with the risen Jesus. To quote from the Theological Dictionary of the New Testament (TDNT) –

“Primarily, it is acceptance of the kerygma, i.e. subjection to the way of salvation ordained by God and opened up in Christ.”

Trust me “kerygma” threw me for a loop also, so we need to understand that as well:

Kerygma (from the Greek word κήρυγμα kérugma) which is a Greek word used in the New Testament for “preaching” (see Luke 4:18-19, Romans 10:14, Matthew 3:1). It is related to the Greek verb κηρύσσω kērússō meaning, literally, “to cry or proclaim as a herald” and used in the sense of “to proclaim, announce, preach”.

So, to Paul this was the key element of his teachings. Pure faith and belief in God and that His Son is Jesus Christ.

Works – labor, action, deed

a) Labor – Noun – work, especially hard physical work. Verb – work hard; make great effort

b) Action – the fact or process of doing something, typically to achieve an aim; a thing done; an act

c) Deed – an action that is performed intentionally or consciously

I wish to look more deeply in the word “action” especially the “process of doing something” and “an act.”

When you hear the wording “process of doing something” you think of an endeavor. Something that takes a great deal of time to accomplish.

Now “an act” that is where I really which to delve:

One of the meanings of act is defined as “behave in the way specified.”

But where is a type of behavior specified for Christians? The answer is the Bible. So, our labor, our actions, and our deeds must work within the specified nature of the Bible.

Therefore, faith in God through His Son Jesus leads us to follow the teachings of Christ and His disciples, which is the Bible. Meaning we must follow and adhere to what is written within these letters and that we are to repent of our sins and strife to become a true reflection of Jesus Christ.

If we do not follow the Bible than it is “dead.”

Dead – nekros – (a) adj: dead, lifeless, subject to death, mortal, (b) noun: a dead body, a corpse. Per the TDNT in this particular case it could infer “lifeless” or “lifelessness.”

Lifelessness – 1. Having no life; inanimate; 2. Having lost life; dead; 3. Not inhabited by living beings or capable of sustaining life.

So, even though you are walking about and have faith, but do not follow the teaching of the Bible and call that which is a sin a sin and refrain from it you are incapable of eternal life and so are dead in the eyes of God.

That is where the original blog post ended. From here on I will expand upon what was originally inspired by the Holy Spirit five year ago.

Many that profess to being “Christian” go about their daily lives doing the things that most within this temporal exist do. They go to work. Make a paycheck and spend it upon a home, car and clothes. As well as the necessities. They seek after what all seek after. Keeping a majority of their income unto their own wants and desires just like all others do. Then once a week by chance they go to a building called a “church.” Sing a few hymns say a few prayers and then with all their heart believe and think they are fine and dandy with the Lord Almighty.

They do this week in and week out. Totally unaware that their actions, their works are dead and carry no value unto the Lord that their faith tells them they are loyal to. That they are dead in the sight of God for they have not sought after Him but the world.

1 John 2:15-17 NKJV – Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

These verses make it extremely clear. That those that live their lives as was previously described they are truly dead in the sight of God. No matter what they wish to profess with their faith and belief in God through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ.

As I have shown and taught in multiple past podcasts. The actions required known as “works” in James chapter two. Is to live a simple lifestyle. To keep a majority of our earthly wealth at the ready to help those in need. The poor, the hungry, those caught in natural disasters. Living our lives solely for the glory of God through the teachings found within the Bible. This equates to life in the sight of the Lord.

Not rituals like those performed by the Catholic church for example. Rituals and works are two completely different things.

Works done through faith in the belief of Jesus Christ means to seek to emulate our Savior and to live as we are taught to live within the Bible.

Matthew 6:19-24 NLT – “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. “Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light. But when your eye is unhealthy, your whole body is filled with darkness. And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is! “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.

If you desire to serve God. Sell the big useless space house for a small house or condo. And not an expensive condo in an exclusive community either. Like the Villages in Florida for example. Sell off and just get rid of those useless items cluttering up your house for they are nothing but idols to your own vanity. Get rid of the Golf clubs and box seats at football or basketball. For sports are the modern gladiators and are those things that appeal to gentiles not servants of God. So, if the church you attend celebrates the super bowl it is not a place of God but of heathen worship. Get rid of the BMW or the Raptor and get a used car or truck by Nissan or Ford. Don’t be saying I can’t retire until I get a million dollars in your 401k, and don’t be seeking to make a 401k that large in the first place. For the majority of what we have is not for our use but God’s.

The most evident witness to a lukewarm I personally witnessed was a person driving a Lexus with “I Love Jesus” stickers plastered upon the back of it. And what has Christ promised to do to the lukewarm?

Revelation 3:15-16 NKJV – “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

John 15:6 NKJV – If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

When Christ speaks of fire and burning, He is making reference to one thing:

Isaiah 66:24 NKJV – “And they shall go forth and look Upon the corpses of the men Who have transgressed against Me. For their worm does not die, And their fire is not quenched. They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.

Do not presume that you are exempt that you cannot loss your salvation. These are the words given to those that professed to being “Christian” in Rome:

Romans 2:6-11 NLT – He will judge everyone according to what they have done. He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. But he will pour out his anger and wrath on those who live for themselves, who refuse to obey the truth and instead live lives of wickedness. There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.

As I have established in passed podcast any who believe they cannot lose their salvation believe they are favored by God. But as was just shown within the Bible God has no favorites.

Just because someone professes to being “Christian” does not make them favored or special. In fact they are the lukewarm if they live their lives like the rest of the world does and so are seen as worse than those that are cold and out right deny God. This is how Christ saw the Pharisees as is witnessed in these verses:

Luke 16:14-17 NKJV – Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him.

As shown in podcast #114 those that are called an “abomination” equate to being on the same level as the antichrist and those that follow that person.

Is this how you wish to be known for all eternity within the Pit of Fire? Or do you wish to be a true disciple of Christ Jesus?

Time is running. Action is required on your part. For you have a say in your salvation. Where you wish to abide is in your hands, but you must act quickly for Christ is soon to return.

God Bless

Discussion

Too many listens to the basics in their faith. The writer of Hebrews wrote this:

Hebrews 5:8-14; 6:1-6 NKJV – though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, called by God as High Priest “ACCORDING TO THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK,” of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. 6:1 -Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

Are those listening at the point of no return? Are they so filled with their own self-righteousness that they cleave to milk and refuse the solid nourishment of the Word of God?

That is not for me to say, but you to consider as we continue with today’s Bible study.

What I myself have seen and noted is how the message in many of the buildings called “churches.” You will see the same topics covered on a schedule according to what time of year it is in the world about. They all mostly end with an altar call to those willing to accept Christ as their Savior. This equates to milk.

Many say that Sunday School is for the growth in the knowledge of God through the Word. Yet they too are limited to repeating the same topics or go chapter by chapter what is within the Bible. However, they never truly explore import topics within these classes for fear they may scare someone away from the Truth. Again milk.

The true meaning of what Christ said is beyond many within the buildings called “churches” because they have never heard it or taught it. Why? Because many that stand in the dais want to keep the pews full to bring in the money required just to keep the maintenance of the building going. Simply they aren’t a place for God, but a business.

What did Christ do about this?

Matthew 21:12-13 NKJV – Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, “It is written, ‘MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER,’ but you have made it a ‘DEN OF THIEVES.'”

I have seen examples of this in many buildings that call themselves “churches.” Little bookstores in the lobby of these buildings. Special classes where you pay money to attend. These are the actions of a “den of thieves” not followers of Christ.

When preachers do not tell you to repent. When they do not tell you to downsize and not be looking for bigger and better, they work from their own pocketbook and not for God and so are thieves and you are going to their den.

Den – G4693 – spélaion – a cave, a den, a hideout

Den – the home of particular types of wild animal

Matthew 7:15-20 NKJV – “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Luke 16:14-15 NKJV – Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

Romans 16:17-18 NKJV – Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.

I must tell you a story. An event I myself lived. One of the things I have learned to do is to interview ministers of the churches I try to attend. I have done this several times. I will give you two instances.

In the first the pastor insisted that all is grey. Which equates to all even those that are followers of Christ are lukewarm and none can change this.

In the second I specifically asked the man if he believed in “once saved always saved.” He said yes. Even when I read and showed him John 15:1-6. He insisted you cannot lose you salvation contrary to these verses. I will now restate these verses. Words from Jesus Christ Himself:

As I have established in the study of these verses in Podcast #3. That only those that have received salvation can be a part of the Vine. Those that challenge this. That deny this truth. Deny He who said them.

Matthew 10:32-33 NKJV – “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

As a result, in essence. This pastor. This leader of a building called a “church” denied His Savior Jesus Christ. This is the result of feeding milk to the masses and not the meat of the Word of God.

Here is the meat of the Bible. What is to follow was written to those in Rome that professed to being followers of Christ. They had just read the behavior of those that deny God and were led into homosexual sin against their creator whom they deny.

Romans 2:1-11 NLT – You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things. And we know that God, in his justice, will punish anyone who does such things. Since you judge others for doing these things, why do you think you can avoid God’s judgment when you do the same things? Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin? But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself. For a day of anger is coming, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. He will judge everyone according to what they have done.

One of the greatest verses within the Bible is this last verse I just read to you so I will re-read it once again.

“For God does not show favoritism.”

When people say they cannot loss their salvation they are saying that they are a favorite of God. That they are special and unique. Better than any other human being.

Romans 12:3 NKJV – For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

Now to get the focus back to those that stand upon the dais I will read this.

Ephesians 4:17-19 NKJV – This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

There are those out there that do not say this. But that is what we are instructed to do within the Bible. For the Bible is the Word of God and when you ask Jesus into your life you are binding yourself to these words.

Then why do those in the pulpits and stand upon the dais not say these words? Are they not the representative of God? Actually, no they are not. They are a representative of those that appointed these people the leaders. When you accept Jesus as your Savior you yourself become a representative of God. It is your responsibility to make sure what you are hearing is the Truth of the Bible. Yes, the Bible does say this:

Ephesians 4:11-13 NKJV – And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

If those you have chosen to lead you do not bring unity in our faith and true knowledge of God’s Son so that we can stand a pure reflection of Jesus Christ Himself, are they serving God or themselves? The answer is they are serving themselves.

There is more to Ephesians chapter 4 then what I read earlier. So, I will continue:

Ephesians 4:20-24 NKJV – But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

What I find is that many now days try not to acknowledge the statement that the gentiles have given themselves “over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.” Now there are those that call themselves “Christian” and do these very same things themselves. As was just shown above we are to come into unity and seek after being a true reflection of Jesus Christ. Jesus the one and only perfect being ever to walk this planet. If people live in lustful pleasures and impurity, they are nowhere near that reflection.

We are told that we must leave our sins behind. We can no longer live in the sinful lives that so many cherish more than God. For by doing so they are not “Christian,” but a gentile, a sinner, and something that is not welcome in heaven.

Ephesians 4:30-32 NKJV – And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Why I do this podcast is because time is running out. It is time to wake up. Stop going through the motions. You cannot continue to go into the den of wolves and expect to live. And I don’t mean live here, but eternally. For Jesus Christ is soon to return and you really wish to not have had Him blot out your name from the Book of Life.

God Bless.
