This is a key to all that is wrong with the world at this time. Why it is this way is a long story and this is not the time or place to address this part of it to a degree. However, parts of the reason will most likely be hit upon as this article progresses.
For the last month I have turned off the world for the most part and sought to escape reality for a while by partaking in a series of fantasy fiction novels. The thing is as I read it I kept running into an issue of responsibility.
The author kept going to showing how those that wish to follow evil never took responsibility. In fact in an ironic way the core tenant to this group was that the individual must surrender all they had for the whole. Giving to those in need at great and continued sacrifice of the self.
They used the word “responsibility” as a club to surrender to the dictates of those that wish to take that which they did not earn themselves. In other words to steal from you.
This is not how the word “responsibility” is meant to work.
It is meant for each person to be accountable for their own life. Through not only what they believe and think, but how they feed and clothe themselves. This is the true meaning of this word as was driven home in multiple ways throughout these novels.
How can a fantasy novel get how we as humans behave, yet in the real world? More and more seek to let others do their work and hand them the money. Two hundred years ago this was called slavery. Now it is seen as a requirement by all, unless they are the down trodden, or those in power.
This was another point driven home in the novels. Those in power were not required to live like anyone else. If any questioned it they were the ones that were labeled as evil, not the other way as it should have been.
If you blame someone else for your plight, then you are not taking responsibility. So the only person truly doing wrong. Truly doing evil is that person that refuses to accept their own obligations.
So those in power that say you must give to your fellow humans through taxation, are in reality evil.
So those that take money from the government and yet have the ability to work even in a low paying job, are in fact evil.
So those that blame their woes upon everyone and everything other than themselves is in fact evil.
It is sad that this lesson comes through a fiction writer and not where it should come from. The person’s parents, schools and the church.
We are to seek to make our own lives better. Not take from others through taxes or any other means of theft.
I have worked multiple jobs in my lifetime. In my forties I worked to clean the floors in Walmart in the middle of the night. Why? Because I took responsibly for my own life.

The scapegoat reply

I have noticed that whenever people get themselves cornered by the truth within the Bible that they try to turn the facts onto the actions of those that are no longer with us. Those in for example our nation’s history. When they do this they are trying to side step the facts. They are trying to legitimize their own faults and failures to God by showing the failures and in many times extreme failures of those that can no longer voice a defense for their actions. This is the “scapegoat reply.”
The enemy is those in the past. It is their fault, it is their actions that have led to this reality. This is hokum.
We, individually, are only responsible for our own actions and our own choices. If we choose to learn to count on others to tell us what “truth is” is our personal responsibility.
Galatians 6: 4 Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. 5 For we are each responsible for our own conduct.
We are to learn the Bible ourselves. To read, to study it. To seek the true understanding of the Bible. Too many take the words of fellow humans and assume they know more than they do. In cases this may be true, but we are to verify, we are to prove, we are to validate.
To blame those of the past for the failures of today’s society is an escapism. It is an attempt to remove the responsibility of your actions which have been wrong and led the destruction.
One of the major evidences of this is those that say since “whites” were the slave masters then we are to take form all “white” just because we are suffering and poor. Did you get up and try to get a job today? Did you try and clean up your community today? Did you try and convince others that to destroy, to steal, to hurt others just because the group as a whole has nothing is wrong? If the answer is “no” to these questions then you are the ones at fault, not the “whites.” They for one are not one hundred and eighty years old. No one is that old that is walking upon this planet at this time. So it is not their fault for your problems. You are at fault for your problems.
Do you know the Bible? Do you know Jesus? Do you place the teaching of the Bible at the core of all your actions? For the Bible teaches that we cannot steal. We cannot covet what belongs to others. We cannot murder. We must respect our community. We must respect and even place our fellow humans before our own selfish lust and desires.
If you are not living as the Bible teaches then you are not serving Jesus Christ but yourselves and are breaking the very first commandment.
Repent. Take responsibility for your actions. Take responsibility for your life. Bend a knee to Christ and ask Him into your life or if you have reaffirm your relationship with the true Savior of humanity.
Jesus will never leave us, but due to free-will we can abandon Him.

Confessions of a screwed up middle-aged man: Why do adults burden their children with adult issues?

I have no answer to this. I am seeking insight.
Could it be they are seeking to not bear their own responsibilities?
Are they trying to be like children again and by placing these burdens upon their offspring they can go about and have no cares themselves?
How selfish an act if that is true?
Each person is responsible for their own actions. They cannot pass on their burdens to some other person. If you never take responsibility then how can you be worthy to take praise when you have accomplished a goal? Did you yourself actually reach this goal or did you steal if from someone below you in age or rank in society?
This is not praise worthy but sad and onerous. It is despicable.
You cannot stand before God and say; “Well I gave the problem to my son or daughter why don’t you confront them.”
God wishes children to be children. To enjoy their childhood before the burden of free-will falls upon them and they must start to take account of their own behavior and missteps.
When you are raised in a society that teaches the golden rule of “Do unto to other as you would have others do unto you,” how can you even think of using someone?
But then that rule is no longer taught, is it? Why is that? Why are people being taught to look out only for themselves no matter the cost? Do they really want to know what the real cost is going to be?
I know there are those that do not believe in God, there are those that believe in a “god,” but have no concept nor desire to seek for it. As a result the world is falling into chaos. Death and slaughter is occurring in places no one ever though it would happen, but it does. Why? Because all are now taught that they are all that is important and all others are useless humans just taking up space.
Now just think on that statement if most are think this and they think all other are garbage, does that not make them garbage? Yes it does.
But this is not how God see us. God see that all are special. All have a place and a purpose. Yet this is not what those that wish to control and dominate want you to find out.
So the next time you want to pass the buck to a child or someone else for that matter. Stop! Think, and remember sooner or later they will think you are scum and it just might be true. Sad, really really sad.

True knowledge and growth (something some governements do not want you to learn)

The seeking of self is an ongoing journey. It is something you do your entire life. As you travel throughout your existence, you will notice a change in who you were and who you are now if you think upon it.
To me though, the greatest change comes when you realize that how you are at a particular moment is not who you want to be. This is something I know all deal with for it is placed in books and into movies. True most times when you come to this point are not so action filled to be worth turning in a movie. That does not diminish their import.
A key element to me is honor. I do not mean “honor” as a noun, but as a verb. The one that means: to observe, adhere to, be true to.
To observe the laws that govern you, be they the laws of the land or of your believes.
To adhere to them and follow them, no matter how minor or how great.
To be true to yourself and others.
To me placing others before myself. That is more gratifying, more satisfying then only seeking to please my own desires and wants. Most of the time I have gotten to the point where placing others first is simply a natural reflex then a conscious act.
A prime example: my work ethic. What I do can literally kill someone if I do not give my best effort. To do my job there are rules I must follow. If I do not follow these rules, the worst might happen. Many I work with do not have this work ethic, most are younger than me.
Why are the younger people less caring about the rules and or laws you may ask? To me it is due the removal of the fundamental rights, which I and those my age grew up being taught. My generation was the generation of the child of the war; be that the World War of the Korean War. Our fathers for the most part were men that had truly witnessed the horrors of war. So they instilled into their children the need to follow the laws, be they the laws of the land of the simply the ten commandments of the Bible. The latter of which was simply reduced to the saying: “Do unto others as you would have other do unto you.”

Now the horrors of war are upon us once again. May returning home missing limbs, many with brain damage, even more with emotional damage. Will this make them instill into their children the need to follow the rules? I can only hope. For at this time we are in a generation that has never truly experienced these horrors. In fact many of been desensitized to these very horrors through movies and televisions show that show extreme violence.
To a degree I was desensitized to it was well. Then one day I had a “brilliant” idea. I would watch the killing of one of the hostages that were being taken by Muslim extremists. I quickly become aware of the horrors of war that day as the dull knife was used to slowly cut the man’s head from his body. I could not even finish watching. I became unable for months after that to look at blood without wanting to vomit. Something I had never experienced before in my life.
This was another building block, which has helped to form the person that writes these thoughts down now. Was it a good one? NO!
Because there has been no ongoing or horrific war, the minds of people have become complacent. They allow other people to determine how they should think instead of doing the thinking themselves.
A prime example of this was Germany in the nineteen-thirties. People in the Germany that existed at that time had suffered through famine and privation due to world war one. Yet it was not these that were pursued by the Nazi party. It was the youth, but because many within the populous felt the surrender in nineteen-eighteen was unjust and unfair they too listened. Their minds were pliable to seeking what was better for the select, especially since those, which were not the select, contributed in their eyes to the suffering they had suffered in the past.
The cycle is repeating itself here in the United States. You have groups that were downtrodden in the past, but are now given the ability to prosper and yet they do not. They are taught from within and without that, it is due to others they are still failures. They are given gifts from the government that in turn keeps them downtrodden. Yet it is those that are prospering that are villains? To me, though, it is these government systems that are the problem and keeping them denigrated.
This country was formed under the promise that ALL are equal. Admittedly, it took too long for this to become the truth, but once it did, actions were taken to allow those that had been downtrodden to make something of themselves and many have.
Now though these rules are being used to make those it was meant to help and rise, into people that wish to dominate. Making themselves better than those, they see as the ones that oppressed them. The problem with that is that most that did this are dead. Those alive today had little to do with the oppression or were not even born. This is wrong to hold someone accountable for something they did not do.
Now as an example what occurred to those Americans of Japanese descent. These people were given a onetime monetary reward by the government for their treatment during World War II. That is how it should be done. A onetime recompense of money and then it is up to those that were affect to go from there. The continued dishing out of money to the point of making people depended upon the government is one of the ultimate wrongs that can happen.
The United States government was never meant to be as large as it is today. As it is stated in the Tenth Amendment in the Constitutions’ Bill of Rights:

“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people”

The main power is to be kept to the States and if not the states the people, not the government. Today though, the government is guilty of taking the tenth amendment away from the people. Those that are career politician or career government employees need to be removed from office and in some cases even jailed for their actions.
Enough of the rant.
The main topic is growing to a complete person. Most would simply call it maturing. However, using the word “maturing” is not accurate. I now several people in their forties and fifties that are nowhere near being called mature. Then there are people in their teens I would call mature.
To me it is those that seek understanding in all things are the ones that seem to grow.
Those that reach a point that makes them comfortable; or allows themselves to live in a lifestyle that allows them to act in ways that are not correct; these are “immature and selfish.”
Therefore, we as the human race are encouraged to grow mentally, to seek out knowledge, to seek understanding of others so that we can grow. When someone or some group says not to do this, but to listen to them and only them for they have all the answers. Those that listen surrender their very worth has a member of the human race to be nothing more than a witless pawn that has no understanding or desire to know what is happening in the world about them. They become willing slaves to the mantra of thoughtlessness.
I encourage you to seek out knowledge, but make it a balanced knowledge. Understand the laws of land. Understand the rules of your believes within your respective faiths. See how the two are meant to work together. If you find they are not, then follow that which allows you to grow, not that which diminishes you. For if it lessens you as a human being do you truly deserve to be call a member of the human race?
