The Manifesto of the Dreamer

I stand accused.
I must answer this accusation through the Bible and by the Bible.
First and foremost:
Matthew 5:17 – Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
These are the word of Jesus Christ my Savior. He did not come to destroy but to fulfil
Fulfil = pleroo – “to fulfil a measure, a promise,”; “to complete or achieve”; “totality”; “fullness” (Theological Dictionary of the NT)
This means that to adhere solely to the New Testament is actually destroying that which Jesus came to fulfil.
I was reminded recently that many say that due to Christ actions the laws and teachings within the Old Testament have no more hold of the Body of Christ. I say that is counter to why Christ came upon this earth as stated by His own words above.
We are to hold to and maintain certain aspects of the Old Testament when it not actually stated to do otherwise. Example: Eating of sacrificed food was given a specific answer within the New Testament. (1 Corinthians 10:18-33).
So when there are specific examples within the New Testament that is to replace that of the Old Testament, but if it is not directly mentioned in the NT then the OT still hold governance.
Now I state all this because someone stated that my stance of being political was not to found within the Bible. I say this is not true. Yes we are instructed to give unto Caesar that which is Caesar. Yes we are told to obey the magistrates, but here is the catch. When obeying meant you have to disobey God, God took precedent. Did not Mordecai not bow, did not Daniel not eat and did not Jesus Himself stand against the laws of Pharisees which had come to be placed over God’s laws which He had come to fulfil?
Example: The turning over of the money changers tables in the Temple which He stated had been turned into a den of thieves. It was not the money changers that were the thieves, but the Pharisees through their laws they had enacted to allow the money changers in the temple for the profit of the Pharisees who received a portion of the money changers exchange fees for the purchase of sacrificial animals raise and own by the Pharisees. Thus the Pharisees were in fact stealing from those they were meant to minster to.
When humans makes laws that seek to supplant God’s who is to be followed?
Matthew 22:37 – Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment.
Luke 10:27 – And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
How can I love God the way stated above without placing Him in first and foremost into all that I do? If I do not place Him first in all I do, then I bow, then I eat what I should not eat, then I place the laws of humans over the laws given unto us by God.
Does this mean I break other laws made by humans? No. It does not. It means I work within those laws that do not try to take the place of God. For God has ordained those who are in power for His reasons. If those reasons are to see if they shall become like the Pharisees, then so be it, but those that profess to be the children of God through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ, if they say nothing and allow those in power to become the Pharisees without warning them of their errors are they not guilty of sin? Per James 4:17 they are.
“Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”
Does this mean that a child of God must become political? Yes it does, as long as he acts within accordance of the law, not only Biblical but of the nation they live within.
Does this mean they are to peacefully protest, to rant, to inform the masses of the errors they are doing? Yes it does for did not the prophets of the Bible do this to Israel. For example: Hosea.
Am I calling myself a prophet? No I am not. My calling from God is to write my blog so as to attempt to reach the lukewarm (Revelation 3:15-16), so they might return once again unto God and feel His loving embrace upon that day of glory when they will be welcomed into His presence as one of His children. This is my ministry. To awaken those that have asked Christ into their hearts and souls yet have fallen from His graces for the world has come to mean more unto them then God.
They are the hypocrites yet they do not know that is what they have become.
Am I called to add to the body of Christ? No I am not. I am called to be a teacher unto those that are already of the Body. I am to study the Bible and attempt to understand it better so that in turn I can help them to understand the Bible better themselves. So if they have faltered and fallen they can pick themselves up and if they have not so they can become closer to God and His desires for all that call themselves His children.
Am I perfect? By all means no I am not. I make errors, I make mistakes. Do I shout when I should talk softly? Yes I do, but it is out of compassion and love for my fellow humans. For I have no desire for them to suffer, which is what will happen if they do not listen. If they turn a deaf ear because they are listening to those that say all is beautiful and fine with the world and God. Yes there is a need for love, but when there is too much love it can do more harm than good. Should I use more love? At times yes, but there are times when there is more of a need of a rod.
Proverbs 13: 24He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
Many within the Body spare the rod too much and so sin has run rampant and they are not leading them to salvation but enslavement.
2 Peter 2:18 – For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
This is my manifesto for I am and have been a dreamer of dreams:
Acts 2:17 – And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
