Sorry for this being a spoiler review, but there is no way to review this movie correctly without being so.
It has always bothered me as to why they changed the origin of Wonder Woman from World War II to World War I. I got my answer as I watched the movie with my wife yesterday for she said she wished to see it. The end of WWI revolved in some degree to the Arden Forest, as did events within this film unfold. While WWII’s ending was more complex and more devastating. So I understand their need to simplify due to how they wish to approach this story.
Now their increasing her abilities to god level to me was a major mistake. First off we have to understand that it is becoming more popular within the Christianity to see polytheistic gods as what they most likely really were. The fallen angels from heaven attempt to control and rule humanity. This is given weight by the glorified Jesus Christ Himself in one of the letters to the seven churches ( The Seven Churches (Part 4) – The letter to Pergamum ). So making her the daughter of Zeus per this standpoint makes her the daughter of Satan. However the writers were heading more toward a daughter of THE God. This is played out when she makes her great statement about love.
This shows that this movie was made during the campaign for the President of the United States, and those upon the left thought Mrs. Clinton would at this time be president of the USA. Thus making her out to be the daughter of God. Here is the reason why I say this, and what is the problem with not only Mrs. Clinton, but this film.
In one of Mrs. Clinton’s speeches she said, and I quote: “The greatest commandment is love.” This is a bad interpretation of the Bible and in so doing per Galatians 1:8-9, she is cursed by God. The actual greatest commandment is to love GOD with all our heart mind and soul (Matthew 22:34-38). This means to place God at the core of our daily lives. Not ourselves or anyone or anything else. So this film took on a politic aspect the moment these words lift Wonder Woman’s lips.
The way the origin story, which is the first part of the film, was handled, was done very well. From there on it went downhill. Even the great reveal of Wonder Woman in her full gear walking across No Man’s Land was lack luster and pushed. Like most DC character films and TV shows it did not live up to the expectations and the hype.

Christian
Black and White
Re-post
I was recently told that we must look at the world in multi-colors not black and white since people are complex beings and not all sin is washed away immediately. Yet that is not what the Bible teaches. More than once in the New Testament statements are made not only by the writers of the books within it but by Jesus Christ Himself that it must be black and white.
Why is this? In my opinion it is due to the fact that we are surrounded by a multi-colored world. Where people in power can lie and they are still allowed to stay in power. It is because the world is imperfect that we must try and reach a level of black and white. It is the ultimate goal that all must aspire to reach. In Revelation 3 the glorified Christ made it perfectly clear. He said He would rather see you cold toward Him than to be lukewarm.
Do you understand the importance of that statement? It is not when Jesus is walking amongst us but after He has risen into heaven that He makes this clear for all to know and read. You cannot be lukewarm or grey or multicolored. It is this mentality that is not only going throughout the world but the church itself that is causing an unclear message to grow which allows church groups to embrace that which is called a sin within the Bible.
It is imperative that we return to the true dichotomy system of you either follow God or you deny Him. You deny Him when you place all else before God. For we are told to place God first and everyone else second and then we can look to ourselves. It is of all import that we do not coddle those that choose to live in sin. Yes by all mean love them as the saying goes: “Hate the sin love the sinner.” Proverbs also say “Spare the rod hate the child.”
We need to make people uncomfortable again. We need to make them feel guilt again, and if they don’t feel guilt then they wish to be in the cold or the black. That is their choice, but as long as we teach there is only grey or multi-colored or lukewarm then we are teaching them to be rejected by God.
Revelation 3: 15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth
Gather together
This is something that needs to be looked at and understood better. As I looked deeper into Matthew 18:19-20, the first thing that stuck me was this part of these verses:
“Concerning anything you ask”
Any is “pas,” which is all, the whole.
Thing is “pragma,” which is defined as a thing done, a deed, action; a matter, an affair.
So when taken in this context is not asking for literally anything, it is more specific to asking for the blessing of God when seeking to accomplish a set goal for the glory of God, through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ. Seeking after and asking for earthly rewards, which many construe this to mean is actually contrary to the teachings of the Bible, which clearly states that we are not to seek after our rewards from God in this temporal existence but for our eternal life we are yet to live.
This also shows the true intent of why we are to gather together. To accomplish the teachings within the Bible. The true intent is through faith and works, thus agreement in a specific task towards God’s glory, which is shown to us within the Bible itself.
Ponder and think about this, and then decide what is truly important when gathering together.
Matthew 18:19 “I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. 20 For where two or three gather together in my name. I am there among them.”
The pawns
God has an ultimate plan. Those within humanity have no idea what this plan is. How long it is meant to take or what will be the overall result.
God, however, does provide humanity with a road-map of what will transpire within the populous that not only once lived, but those that are alive and those that will be alive. This is borne out by facts of prophecy fulfilled.
The book of Daniel is a prime example. It is evidence that God has a plan and that it can tell in advance how humanity will respond and act. Antiochus Epiphanes and the Maccabean revolt are covered within the book of Daniel and since it was prophesied before the events took place, however it is not history, people do not see it has prophecy fulfilled. The mere fact that they are fulfilled tells us that what is within the Bible when in a prophetic format has, is, or will transpire.
Yet people still go about living their lives as they see fit and how they wish. Thus being pawns. This is why we should read the Bible and come to understand what is taught within the teachings of Jesus Christ. For it is made clear that those that seek after the “freedom” to sin are in actuality slaves unto that sin. Never free ever again.
2 Peter 2:19 – They promise freedom, but they themselves are slaves of sin and corruption. For you are a slave to whatever controls you.
People complain that to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ limits you and causes those that follow it to live a restrictive life. However, this is what most do not understand nor care to come to understand. This life we now live is not the blessed life we are promised as our reward. Yet millions go about treating this life as that very thing. They seek to live wealthy and luxurious lives here within this temporal existence. This is not what is promised within the Bible.
Any that teach and encourage wealth and success within this temporal plain are not slaves to God, but slaves to he who is master of this temporal realm at this time. They are false prophets. Yet millions listen to them and flock to them. They are the slaves, they are the pawns and it is their desire to cause those that truly seek the freedom of salvation to listen and follow them. For they do not wish to live in the pit of fire alone for all eternity.
2 Peter 2:20 – And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. 21 It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life. 22 They prove the truth of this proverb: “A dog returns to its vomit.” And another says, “A washed pig returns to the mud.”
For the vomit and the mud is sin, slavery and they too become pawns of damnation.
Read the Bible. Follow all the teachings within it. For we are to live in the light of God through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ by following what is taught within it. For it is both faith, which is belief and love in and for Jesus, and works which are the commandments written within the Bible.
“No barriers, no borders, like we all need to just co-exist.”
These are the words of Katie Perry when attempting to discuss the Terrorist attack on young innocent girls at the concert that targets this sex and age group, in Manchester England of May 22 of 2017.
This shows the blindness of those that think like Ms. Perry. They preach coexistence, however they reject the one true religion that preaches true co-existence. Her and her fellows’ despise Christianity and say that Islam is ok. Does she not realize that due to her bi-sexual behavior she would at the least be caned and the most killed for her lifestyle choices? While Christianity says, if you live this life you will end up in the pit of fire for all eternity, but if this is how you wish to live go right ahead and do so.
One of the true key elements of true “coexistence” is to allow people to live their lives as they chose to do so. This is what Christianity does teach and since Christianity is the core element of the foundation of the United States itself. This has been born out for over two hundred years, for the most part.
Now it is here that those reading will talk of slavery and the fact that homosexuals had to live their lives in hiding. As for the former this was done by those that have always sought to control and have domain over others. This mere facts points to the fact that those that did this were in fact not truly Christian. For within the Bible it clearly states how people are to treat those below them.
Ephesians 6:5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. 6 Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart. 7 Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. 8 Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free. 9 Masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Don’t threaten them; remember, you both have the same Master in heaven, and he has no favorites.
As we all know most masters did not behave this way during the time of slavery. So in fact even if they themselves went to a church cannot call themselves Christian. In fact it has been well documented that those that were masters were of the Democratic Party. They also formed the KKK as demonstrated by the 1923 Democratic Convention.
As to the homosexual issues. Should it have been made illegal to live this lifestyle? That is a difficult situation to answer. We know that it has existed for thousands of years and is even addressed in the laws of the Bible and Torah that was brought down from Mt. Sinai. At that time it was a death sentence. The reason being God sees it as a sin against humanity itself. Like murder. Both cause an end to how God would like humanity to proceed in their genetic road-map down a certain path and when someone is removed from this path it causes issues with the genetic road-map and so must be addressed in another way.
Genesis 38:8 Then Judah said to Er’s brother Onan, “Go and marry Tamar, as our law requires of the brother of a man who has died. You must produce an heir for your brother.” 9 But Onan was not willing to have a child who would not be his own heir. So whenever he had intercourse with his brother’s wife, he spilled the semen on the ground. This prevented her from having a child who would belong to his brother. 10 But the Lord considered it evil for Onan to deny a child to his dead brother. So the Lord took Onan’s life, too.
This is why per the Bible those that live this lifestyle are not welcome in Heaven. Due to their willful disobedience to God Himself. Thus they reject God and His ultimate plan for humanity.
Does this mean humans should serve as their judges and force them not to live their choices? Per the Bible that has been settled by God Himself. To Him, they are murders and so will live in eternity their fate of their lifestyle choice, in the pit of fire. It is not for other humans to judge them.
However, they should not force their lifestyle upon those that wish to live a Christian life. They should not force their ways into Christian’s churches or in Christian businesses. Those forcing their way in goes against true co-existence, and so are wrong.
I find it amazing how those on the left say we must coexist, but in reality have no true desire to coexist. What is even more amazing is that they embrace a group that actually teaches non-coexistence. To Islam those that embrace homosexuality are to be put to death, period. They are serving as the judges to others within humanity.
A thousand splinters
re-post
The rough hewn beam stands within the man made and well-worn hole.
A breath is taken and yet the already tired legs falter and the knees bend. The already torn and mutilated back slides down the blood covered wood causing new splinters of various sizes to tear into the already open and exposed flesh. Sending a new shutter of pain throughout the battered body that now hangs upon the cross, each sliver another sin purchased with His blood that now saturates the support beam He is nailed too.
“Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” Comes from He who is upon this cross as He strains upward to get a new breath, once again shaking in pain as the shards of wood dig into His back anew. Each one another one He welcomes because each is a sin He will forgive.
Your sin.
An in-depth look into John 15
re-post
John 15 takes place during one of the teaching sessions to the twelve as he tries to expand their knowledge and give them ability to spread His message. What is to follow here is an in depth look into this chapter for it is one that few here or even acknowledge. It begins as Jesus continues His lecture:
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Here Christ begins an analogy much like His parables which allowed Him to give those listening a point of reference which would allow them to understand. Vineyards were prevalent through all of Israel as well as throughout the entire Roman Empire.
Jesus is the foundation, the root, the very plant, and His Father God is the land-owner on which the plant grows and is nurtured by.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
This verse above all others needs the closest attention.
The word “in” is the word “en” in the Greek which denotes a fixed position in place, and state.
The word “me” is the word “emos” which states of me, mine (own), my.
When you look at just these two words it clearly states that the branch (those that call themselves “Christian”) are in Jesus Christ. A part of His Body.
Yet He immediately states this: that beareth not fruit he taketh away.
So those in Christ that do not bear fruit for God are removed by God the husbandman and taken away.
Look to the words “taken away” they are actually one word in the Greek: “airo” which means make to doubt, put away, remove, take (away, up), but it also has a Hebrew meaning that needs to be mentioned: to expiate sin.
Simply you are removed from the Body of Christ.
But as the verse continues it states what happens to those that do bear fruit for God. God purges that branch, that person.
It is the word “kathairo” which means to cleanse, i.e. (specially) to prune; figuratively, to expiate:–purge. This means to tear away that which is no longer good within you and allow that which is precious to the Lord to come to the light and allow you to bear more fruit of Him. Why? For our growth in Christ is an ongoing and continual process. It is not just one event. It is not one day saying I will serve Jesus and then do nothing the rest your life. This one verse says it all. Bear fruit for God, grow in the faith, cast off those sins you discover within you along the way or be removed from Christ.
In the next verses Jesus spells this out:
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
Now take special note of the verse above. Now remember in the second verse and clarified in the fourth and fifth verses that you are already apart of Christ, but if you do not live your life as if Jesus is in you God will cut you away and you will wither to be gathered up by men and then cast into the fire. This reinforces the second verse and makes it clear that heaven is not your destination if you do not follow the teachings of Christ.
Now in the next verses He instructs you on how to improve your place with God:
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Now what is to follow will make it clear that those we are to love are those that follow Christ and why, but it is also important that we love all so that they will see that light of God within us through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ so they too can become fruit that in time will turn into a branch that bear fruit for God.
13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
This last verse is extremely important to understand. Why? Because many that go about calling themselves “Christian” are welcome within the world. I have experienced hatred form those about me. At work in public and various other places. Why? Because I stood for my faith and did not back down. I see the hate written in their eyes, yet I do not hate them, for I am trying to be a light for God.
This is how it should be for all that call themselves “Christian” for this is exactly what Christ said it would be like. That the world WILL hate us. If the world does not hate you, they you are of the world. Very simply.
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
The “I” syndrome
re-post
This is something that the Bible teaches over and over again to avoid.
“I” want this.
“I” want that.
“I” want to have sex because it feels good.
“I” don’t have time for a baby so “I” will abort it.
Selfishness the core to all sin. From the word “I” comes lust. A lust for power, a lust for pleasure, a lust for possessions, a lust to control.
“I” is what we are told time and again to turn from, to avoid. We are told to humble ourselves. To place others needs before our own. To place God first which means to ignore the word “I” when seeking to do God’s works.
The greatest commandments:
1) Love and honor God above all else and all others.
2) To treat our neighbors as we would desire to be treated.
Then the rest of the Ten Commandments follow these two.
The Ten Commandments, the preamble to the laws given unto Moses upon Mt. Sinai. None of which say to place yourself first in anyway shape or form.
We must learn not to please the “I” but to please God. To be truly humble is to never place yourself before anyone or anything for as long as you place the “I” above all else you are guaranteed to fall short of God’s glory.
So remember the next time you say to yourself “I” wish to do this or that it would be best that you didn’t do it at all, most likely.
James 4:6 – But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
James 4:10 – Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
Matthew 23:12 – And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.
True freedom
re-post
What helped inspire this post was the close of For King and Country’s song “O God Forgive Us”:
“Run wild. To risk everything. To hold nothing back. To lay it all on the line- your reputation, your success, your comfort. It’s that moment when fear is overcome by faith. Live free. It’s not the liberty to do whatever you want whenever and wherever you want. But rather it’s living in accordance with the Author of humanity, and finding freedom by connecting with the Creator who conceived you. Let the light flood into your eyes for the first time, feeling the blood course through your veins, finding the truest version of yourself by knowing the One who knows you even better than you know yourself. Love strong. Because you were first loved. Because without love, we all perish. Because the earth and the stars can and will pass away, but love, love will always remain…”
What got me going was the phrase: “It’s not the liberty to do whatever you want whenever and wherever you want. But rather it’s living in accordance with the Author of humanity, and finding freedom by connecting with the Creator who conceived you.”
This is the misconception that is being spread throughout the United States if not the world. Those that teach you can go about doing whatever you wish is actually teaching slavery.
2 Peter 2:19 – While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
The slavery is to this reality. To this temporal time within our eternal exist that we are promised by God. As is seen in the next phrase from For King and Country: “But rather it’s living in accordance with the Author of humanity, and finding freedom by connecting with the Creator who conceived you.”
For by doing this we are guaranteed true freedom. Not freedom to the here and now, but the freedom that will come once we enter into our true forms. Our eternal bodies that will allow us to travel throughout all of God’s Creation, the universe.
The bible states that those that embrace slavery are destine to live all eternity in one spot. Never moving, never leaving, chained to the sins which they have embraced. This mere fact that they will not be able to move freely about will tear at the minds of those that have embrace this world over the true freedom God offers unto all that are willing to accept His Son as their Savior.
Will God give us tasks to perform for Him? Yes He will but we will be able to traverse ALL of His creation. Free to spread His glory unto the entire universe. Do we now spend every single moment doing our assigned task for God? To a degree no.
Here is a point that I wish to make to those that aspire to see those that follow us ascend to a higher plain of existence. It is the ascension that is promised by those that do not acknowledge there is a God. They say that we must sacrifice ourselves to a mundane life with the promised that some time thousands of year from now those that come after us will reach a point where there body is no longer required and they will evolve and ascend into a new and enlightened form. Does this do you any good in your life time? No. For it is nothing but a trap an element meant to enslave you.
God promises this ascended body to all that follow His teachings and His Son the Lord Jesus Christ. We are promised an immortal body that is pure and holy and will be able to go where ever they wish in the service of God.
1 Corinthians 15:53 – For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
This is the true freedom that we are promised and it can only be reached through God, by turning away from ALL sin and asking His Son the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart and leaving that which has enslaved you behind.
Review: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)
I have massively cut back on my movie watching since the recent election due to the behavior of Hollywood. I have been waiting till they come on TV or not to watch them at all. So the fact that I actually went to the theater to see GOTGV2 should speak volumes in itself.
This movie is true and pure escapism. I found no underlying political agendas and found the story to be entertaining. Being a comic fan most of my life and seeing characters I have grown up with show up yet changed in most instances has bothered me in many movie adaptations. This is one reason I refuse to watch X-men movies even when they make it to the small screen.
More and more I am coming to disagreements with how Disney does things. Most recently the live action version of Beauty and the Beast which I will never watch. However their work with Marvel to date has been very good. The best of these has been both volumes of GOTG.
Once again they weave a well-rounded and funny movie with a whopping five post credit screen. SPOILER ALERT!!!!
I love the fact that they introduce the original GOTG team in a varied form that suits how the movie is presented.
I highly recommend this movie.
