Seeking to please only the self no matter the cost… a tale of destruction

For decades people have been taught that to succeed to become answerable only to oneself is the ultimate goal.
Yet this is not what the Bible teaches.
Humility. Seeking to help others especially those within the Christian family, but not limited to the Christian family is part of the ultimate plan from Christ Himself.
In fact when Christ added two more commandments, oh you didn’t know there is actually twelve commandments now, oh well let’s go there.
The greatest commandment per Jesus Christ is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind and soul. It was actually taught in Deuteronomy 6:5, but called the greatest and a commandment by Christ.
The second commandment Jesus then goes on to say is that we are to love our neighbors as we are to love ourselves.
This means to place all humanity as our equals, but as Christ Himself says about His task upon this temporal plain was this:
Matthew 20: 28 “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Since we are to strive to be Christ-like then should we not too seek to serve our neighbors, our fellow humans as best we can?
The answer is yes.
So to seek to have success to seek after wealth, to tread upon our fellows not caring if they are hurt, finically destitute or even killed is the total opposite of serving God.
Then if it is opposite it is seeking not after Christ and salvation, but death and destruction.
Yet this is how most in the world think, many of which call themselves “Christian.”
This makes those that do call themselves that hypocrites, and liars not only to themselves but to everyone else and especially to God.
Revelation 21:8 “But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
1 John 4:20 – If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? 21 And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.

What does it really mean to love your neighbor as you would love yourself?

There is more to it than just applying the Golden rule of “Do unto other as you would do unto yourself.”
It is actually thinking of where you wish to get to in your relationship with God as well and helping others to achieve that same goal.
When you seek to have an eternal life with God you must ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior. You should then in loving your neighbor as yourself seek to have them also accept God as their Savior.
But to be saved you must repent of your sins:
Acts 3:19 – Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away
Repent – metanoeo – I repent, change my mind, change the inner man (particularly with reference to acceptance of the will of God), and repent.
Repent in the Theological Dictionary of the New Testament (NTD) is defined as:
“It can then mean ‘to change one’s mind,’……. ‘to adopt another view,’ ‘to change one’s feelings.’”
When taught by Jesus Christ in the Aramaic it goes down to meaning “to convert” and “conversion”
Again from the NTD: “What John advances is the ancient prophetic summons of conversion, for a break with the ungodly and sinful past, for turning to God, because God, active in history, turns to man. But the summons is more categorical than it was on the lips of the prophets, for it stands under the urgency of the eschatological revelation of God. The term which John makes his slogan is familiar to his Jewish contemporaries. It is the epitome of their unwearied and manifold exertions to throw off sin and to fulfill the commandments. But the slogan gives the word a wholly new significance. Conversion is once and for all. It must be genuine and not in appearance only.”
There are many things in what I have just shown from the NTD. When you repent you are to leave your sin behind and never return to it. When loving your neighbor you should seek that exact same thing for them.
Now there are those that have fallen into this believe that “love” is all that is required for humanity to reach God. This came out of the hippie movement in the 1960s. It came from a culture that experiment in drugs and “sexual freedom.” Simply it was born from those sinning and wishing to spread sin.
So how can something that came from sin get you or your neighbor to God? It can’t. Especially when we are told we must repent or convert and leave sin behind.
The Bible shows us what is sin and even tells us outright that some sin especially if people maintain themselves in those sin will not be welcome into the eternal service of God.
1 Corinthians 6:9 – Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. 11 Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
So if you do not wish to live in sin and wish to make it into the eternal service of God how can you allow your neighbor to go into damnation?
If you truly love them you must tell them they sin and get them to repent of their sin never to partake of it again. That to me is truly loving your neighbor. For I would rather have someone I helped join me on my millionth birthday then to allow them out of “love” to instead be cast into the pit of fire and to live in eternal pain and agony.

A teaching from the mount

One of the first lessons that Jesus tries to teach those gather upon the mount where He spoke His most famous sermon was as follows.
Not to be angry with your neighbor without cause. It actually says brother, but as you go further into the sermon Christ will say that your neighbor and thus all are your brother and sister.
Now here is where it gets tricky. What you may consider cause, in reality may not be cause. A prime example is all the protest against the police lately. Especially in the case of Ferguson, MO.
It has been proven that Michael Brown attacked the police officer. Even the FBI agrees with this scenario, yet thousands have been marching around angry at the police and those that sided with the police in this matter. Thus those that have been angry, those that vandalized, those that caused chaos are guilty of being angry against their “brother” for no cause. So as Jesus stated this places those that did this in danger of judgment.
Now it would not surprise me at all that during this there were those that called those on the other side of this dispute worthless and fools. These two place those that said this in trouble to the point that those that used the word “fool” actually are headed down the path to damnation (“but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire”)
So people need to think. People need to try and understand where they truly stand with their neighbor and with God and His Son Jesus Christ. For they are truly jeopardizing their eternal life due to listening to those the spread lies for their own cause and glorification.
But God gives you a way out. He offers a way for you to redeem yourself. How? You must seek out those that you have wronged and ask their forgiveness. If you vandalized a store. Turn yourself in to the police and face what you have done. If you insulted someone no matter the side you must find some way to get them to see that you are wishing to repent.
Place an ad in your local newspaper, make a post on Facebook or some other social media and seek to make it right with those you have wronged. Once you have done so God will know and forgive you.
Oh, and by the way. The raising your hands thing has been proven to not be true. So doing this also falls into that which I have been talking about.

Matthew 5:22 – But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca (thou are worthless), shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; 24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

Confessions of a screwed up middle aged man: the grudge

There is a young lady I work with that has been indoctrinated heavily into the liberal mentality. One of the strongest is one is that everything must be done their way or they will hate you and hold a grudge against you. There is other points that show how she thinks and believes, but that is not necessary for me to share with you, just know that I have no doubt about how she believes and thinks.
Now I have to admit since I am human there have been a couple of things that we have butted heads about. The last being me playing Christmas music from Thanksgiving till Christmas Eve. Now I admit I did not behave well on that issue and did apologies. Was just not in the mood to have to challenge my believe in God over secular Christmas music. Trust me there is a bit of difference between Christian Christmas music and secular. As it is it was clear she does not believe in Christmas or the REAL reason it is celebrated.
It is obvious that she hates me. Now I really have not done anything against her, but due to her brainwashing I am evil incarnate. Which is truly sad that she thinks this way.
Now like I said we have butted heads, but unlike her I greet her with a smile and a hello and goodnight. I do this to all, for it is the correct thing to do, especially when you say you are a Christian. She turns her head, refuses to talk and has hate written all over her face, but I will not let this deter me from doing what is right. I will continue to be nice to her, and it will be as Jesus has told us to act. Treat your neighbor as you would want to be treated, a better phrasing is the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.
This is the teaching of Christ and so I feel obligated due to His salvation of me to do this and so I shall.

If I can tell don’t you think God already knew?

Jesus made it so even the simplest of minds could understand and accept His teachings.
1) LOVE GOD ALWAYS. Place God at the center. Do everything for Him and per the way He said it should be done. Simply if God says something is good in the Bible then it is good and safe. If God says something is bad in the Bible then it is not safe and should be avoided at all costs.
2) Treat everyone like they are you. How would you like to be treated? With kindness, respect, caring, love. Then this is how you should treat EVERYONE. This means your neighbor, the person in the car or truck next to you on the road. People you work with or go to school with.
If you can do this then you are following God. It is also stated in Titus 3:1 to obey the laws of the land and those that enforce these laws.
Signs like “Black life’s matter” are counter to number “2.” What of the White person? What of the Hispanic? What of the Oriental? Do their lives not matter as well? The correct answer is yes, but the moment you make a sign cutting out other races you become a racist. You disobey God thus you deny God. For to God ALL life is precious and has meaning. If we are to make signs like “Black life’s matter,” should we not then make signs that say “Unborn babies matter” Yet the latter would be and has been torn down and torn up when done.
When you listen to those that create a divide within the human race you listen to someone that is Anti-God and in reality hates everyone but themselves. So they have one goal in life to satisfy themselves. They care nothing at all if a black life matters unless they themselves are black and are promised rewards and riches by those in power. The only problem is they will ultimately get nothing since only those in power that have manipulated them will get any type of “reward.”
This is the sad truth of the matter, but will they listen? As long as they deny God the answer is going to be: no they will not.
