Last week it was impressed upon me to speak of the Rapture. Upon release of this article I encountered a debate I did not expect to encounter. The core of the debate? When is the Rapture per the Bible?
Is there a pre-tribulation Rapture, a mid-tribulation Rapture, a pre-wrath Rapture or a post-tribulation Rapture?
What is the saddest point about this rupture in understanding of the Bible is that people would actually wish to silence someone with a differing point of view about when this is to occur. That topic has already been addressed in a previous article. So there is no need to rehash that sad point once again. It is still something that should not transpire none the less.
Being able to understand when the Rapture is to befall is something that should not be questioned or even allowed to have doubt creep into, but by not knowing for sure when allows this to take place. What is the most important thing to note is that a no time within the book of Revelation is there any mention of what can be characterized as a Rapture. Does this mean there is not one? No. For within Revelation there are resurrections that do take place, but do they meet the criteria of a “Rapture?” Personally I do not see it.
The First three Chapters of the book of Revelation deal with John being visited about Patmos by the Glorified Jesus Christ. Here Christ instructs John to write the seven letter to the seven churches. At the beginning of chapter 4 of Revelation John is called up to heaven to witness the events that are to transpire before the beginning of the Tribulation.
Here is one element that needs to be looked at. John finishes the letters and then, being a Christian himself, or more accurately a Messianic Jew, finds himself in heaven after addressing the earthly church. This in itself could be seen as a reflection of the Rapture since it was not a true Rapture since John did not die at this time. He was merely taken into heaven to witness the events that are written within the last book of the Bible. I wish to quote from the book “Revelation” by John F. Walvoord, which is part of the John Walvoord Prophrcy Commentaries:
“The invitation to John to “come up here” is similar to that which the church anticipates at the rapture that many have connected the two expressions. It is clear from the context that this is not an explicit reference to the rapture of the church as John was not actually translated; in fact, he was still in his natural body on the island of Patmos. He was translated into scenes of heaven only temporarily. Though there is no authority for connecting the rapture with this expression, this sequence does seem to typify the order of events: that is, the church age first, then the rapture, then the church in heaven.
“Though the rapture is mentioned in letters to two of the churches (Revelation 2:25; 3:11), the rapture as a doctrine is not a part of the prophetic foreview of the book of Revelation. This is keeping with the fact that the book as a whole is not occupied primarily with God’s program for the church. Instead, the primary objective is to portray the events leading up to and climaxing in the second coming of Christ and the prophetic kingdom and the eternal state that ultimately will follow.”
The primary focus of the book of Revelation is the seconding coming of Christ. Placing the focus on Jesus and it should be. Any that place it more upon the church is not glorifying Jesus Christ and His Father are making it about themselves and so are being self-centered and self-serving not God serving. I will continue with the next paragraph form the already mentioned book:
“From a practical standpoint, however, the rapture may be viewed as having already occurred before the events of chapter 4 and following chapters of Revelation unfold. The word “church,” so prominent in chapters 2 and 3, does not occur again until 22:16, though the church is undoubtedly in view as the wife of the Lamb in Revelation 19:7. She is not a participant in the scenes of the tribulation that form the major content of Revelation.”
So when you take just the mere fact of the mention of the “church” does not occur in any form after the second and third chapters of the book of Revelation until 22:16 is significant.
How can something that is so important to the Glorified Christ that he spends time to have letters written unto them and then after that it becomes trivial? Because they are out of the picture, a non-factor. This points toward a pre-Tribulation rapture.

Confessions of a screwed up middle aged man: Censorship
One of the marks of Christianity is the ability to be open to debate and discussion upon the scripture. It was the ability to debate that allowed Martin Luther for a time to be able to mature in his believes that led him to write his thesis and thus begin the Reformation, which was needed. Not all agree on certain facts within the Bible, which is why we have so many denominations.
When people profess to be open to the truth of the Bible, but proceed to censor countering points of view is a sign of hypocrisy and close-mindedness. This is the same symptoms that plagued the Pharisees when Christ walked amongst us. It is their unwillingness to surrender to change that led them to crucify the Son of God.
It is due to debate that my views and believes in God have grown in the correct direction. It saddens me that people would censor conflicting views and not offer a proper debate on the issues presented.
Here is a question for you: Where do you see yourself in 2116?
No that is not a type-o. That is the question. So I will restate it.
Where do you see yourself in 2116?
a) Your body sitting in a grave and that is it.
b) You are in heaven
c) You are in hades
d) You are serving alongside Jesus in the early part of his thousand year reign.
e) You are in the pit of fire
f) None of the above
Just think upon that for a while. Comments not required.
Confessions of a screwed up middle age man: assumptions
Within this last week I had two encounters with two different people. Both made an assumption about where I stand in my belief in God and an assumption and where I stand in my faith. They assumed I was arrogant and self-serving. This is the furthest thing from my mind.
As the title of this article shows I know I am far from perfect. I know that I am human and I do have human failings. Yes I know at times I can push hard in my wording as well.
Here is the thing that neither of these people wanted to hear. The way I present my message at time is not only out of love, but it is out of desperation. Why desperation?
Because time is running out. As I pointed out to one this people it is only 17 years till the two thousand year anniversary of the death and resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ. It is clear if you just open your eyes and your ears. If you listen to those about you, if you see how they act and live. It is obvious to any willing to see. We are coming to the end of gentile leadership of this world. The Bride is nearly ready, but there is still room for a few more.
I do not wish for those that think they are right with God to awaken someday in the near future and find they are left behind in bewilderment and sorrow. Not understanding that it was due to their own self-imposed ignorance that left them here upon this planet; because they loved it more than they loved God.
I know that after the Rapture which will be much smaller than many expect, and to be honest I will be surprised if even I make that blessed event, that millions will awaken to the truth of God’s love and warning to them to awaken. It will not be too late for them to join God, but they will be required to do the works they have refused to do until this point.
They will have to show their faith in God through the works they said were not needed or required. But what will these works be?
Frist and foremost they cannot take the mark, which will be a chip implanted into their skin and most likely a tattoo as well.
They will have to starve for they will not be able to buy food due to not having the mark.
They will have physical pain and anguish as they are beaten and ridiculed.
They will have to face a martyr’s death be it thorough starvation, or beheading.
Once they live the works they refused to do when they had the chance to do them and join those in the Rapture. Then through their works of their faith in God will they be welcome to stand before God.
Is this what you want? The Rapture has not taken place yet. There is still time. You can still become truly repentant. You can turn from the materialism, you can turn from your selfish desire and lust. You can place God at the center of your life now when it has more value unto God.
For once the Rapture happens people will begin seeing with their eyes and not their hearts and they will be like Thomas.
John 20:24 – One of the twelve disciples, Thomas (nicknamed the Twin), was not with the others when Jesus came. 25 They told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he replied, “I won’t believe it unless I see the nail wounds in his hands, put my fingers into them, and place my hand into the wound in his side.” 26 Eight days later the disciples were together again, and this time Thomas was with them. The doors were locked; but suddenly, as before, Jesus was standing among them. “Peace be with you,” he said. 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!” 28 “My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed. 29 Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”
The Rapture
There are still those that do not belief in this word. Many call themselves “Christian.” They belief in the Utopian theory that all humanity will finally suddenly see the light and turn to God as His Son descends from heaven to set foot upon the Mount of Olives.
Jesus setting foot upon the Mount of Olives comes at the end of the great Tribulation though. A time that will include the death of well over half the population of this planet in natural disasters and genocide committed mainly by those that willingly reject God.
There are warning signs given to all within the Bible. Wars and rumors of wars, a great falling away from the teachings of the Bible and the return to openly showing the world sin, due to the belief that humanity does not need its Creator. These things are now more evident than they have ever been before.
There is an ultimate sign that the Bible teaches all will be a sign that the great Tribulation is beginning. That sign is the Rapture.
1 Thessalonians 4:15 – We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. 17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. 18 So encourage each other with these words.
John 14:1 – “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. 2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.”
1 Corinthians 15:50 – What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that our physical bodies cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These dying bodies cannot inherit what will last forever.
51 But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! 52 It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. 53 For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies.
Now in the early Church there is strong evidence that there is not just one Rapture, but multiple Raptures. This can be seen above. In 1 Thessalonians there is reference to “a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God.” While in 1 Corinthians it states “when the last trumpet is blown.”
Is this the same event at the end of the Tribulation or is it the first and the last trumpet?
Here is a quotes from the John Walvoord Prophecy Commentaries. 1&2 Thessalonians:
“It is evident that Paul had taught them that there would be a number of resurrections in a chronological order as the Scriptures portray – not just one general resurrection as some believe today. The question I their minds was: In the order of the various resurrections, when would there deceased loved ones in Christ be raised? Apparently they thought they would be caught up to be with the Lord at any time and that the resurrection of the loved ones would be delayed. Possibly until after the great tribulation when Christ comes back to establish His kingdom. They wondered if those who died before the Lord’s coming would miss out on this great event. They wanted some instruction on this point, so Paul wrote to answer this nagging question.”
The response to this question is in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
“And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.”
I happen to agree with that there will be multiple resurrections. For when you read Revelation there is enough evidence to support not only multiple ones but they are given to separate groups as well. Those that sinned and denied God, or never knew of God being the last of these when they stand before the Great White Throne Judgment at the end of the thousand year reign of Jesus Christ.
There is a major difference with the event of the first Rapture though. It is the calling card from Jesus to the world. It is stating and announcing a clear message. It has three major audible events. It is designed as a noticeable seal to all, so none can question that the event took place, yet many will anyway out of closeminded denial of what has just occurred.
It is made clear in the wording of 1 Thessalonians that those that died will be raised first and then in the blink of an eye those that have been faithful to God will be taken up. It will happen with three sounds coming from the sky and everywhere. The voice of Jesus Christ Himself accompanied by an angel and a trumpet. This is the first Rapture and the sign to the world that judgment has begun upon those that are left. Including those that thought they were right with God and are left behind.
Why they were left behind is made clear in the seventh letter to the churches in Revelation 3
“15 ‘I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! 16 But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! 17 You say, ‘I am rich. I have everything I want. I don’t need a thing!’ And you don’t realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. 18 So I advise you to buy gold from me—gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. 19 I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.
20 ‘Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. 21 Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.
22 ‘Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches.’”
They are left here because they are lukewarm. Saying on Sunday they are for God but living in and loving the world when they are not within the structure they call “church.” Speaking more about sports and the actions of people they see upon the television. Living in and driving their worldly rewards than preparing themselves for this event they just missed. The Rapture.
A reaction to an encounter.
https://www.facebook.com/TrueBiblicalChristians2/videos/1687490738171136/
In this article is a link to a video. A video that shows the reality of today. It shows the consequences of someone not raised Biblically against those that that were.
First you will notice the age differences physically, then you will quickly see the maturity mentally.
The first thing that came to my mind was Proverbs 13:24
“Those who spare the rod of discipline hate their children. Those who love their children care enough to discipline them..”
Now here someone will say: “Hate them? That is a lie, I don’t hate my children because I don’t discipline them.”
I will say look at this young man in this video and say that. It is obvious to those that have raised children that this “child” was never disciplined, and in fact was catered too. If he didn’t get his way he would throw a temper tantrum, which is exactly what you are witnessing in this video. Not only this, but when not disciplining a child the parent is determining how the child’s eternal fate may turn out. If they live a live that does nothing but coddle to them they end up selfish and self-serving which is totally counter the Bible. That being said and since most like this deny the Bible will reject this statement I have just made. But for those like myself that acknowledge that the Bible is fact understand that there is an eternal life. In fact scientist fully acknowledge that the “consciousness” does continue beyond the point that the human body ceases to function. Simply the soul is real and if the soul is real so is eternal life and if there is eternal life of the soul after the death of the body then it can be said there is a heaven and a hades. There is eternal life in the service of God and there is the pit of fire where those that deny there is a God will find themselves due to their selfish and self-serving ways in. This is why those that do not discipline their child hate them for they are sending to the pit of fire.
Now when this “child” attacked the pastor first off he just committed a crime the moment he violently touched him. Now was the actions of “Mark” correct? Yes and no. Mark’s actions was to defend his pastor, his fellow Christian, and most importantly his fellow CITIZEN from being assault. But notice the “child’s” reaction. He was expecting not to be interfered with. He even threw out the phase “YOU CALL YOURSELVES CHRSTIANS!!!”
Now you need to understand something. You are dealing with Americans and Christians. This is the same thing that the British didn’t understand in the 1700s. Just because we are Christian we understand how to respect, for we are taught to respect, unlike how this “child” was taught. As Americans we understand freedom and most importantly FREEDOM OF RELIGION.
Matthew 7:12 – Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.
Romans 12:10 – Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.
Philippians 2:3 – Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.
1 Peter 2:17 – Respect everyone, and love the family of believers. Fear God, and respect the king.
First Amendment – Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Now that I have placed the first amendment here. Let’s break down what was broken by the “child” and what was supported by the Christians.
Broken by the “child” – he abridged the freedom of speech
Abridge – curtail – reduce in extent or quantity; impose a restriction on.
The “child” found the sign offensive and violently wished to have it removed from his sight. This is against the first amendment.
The “child” was not allowing the right of people to peaceably assemble.
The “child” did not petition the government about his grievances. Simply he didn’t call the police due to his grievance with the sign the pastor held.
Now the pastor showed true Christian values through this entire encounter and even showed love for this enemy that being the “child.”
Do I blame “Mark” for his action mostly I do not. It is coming upon that time when people will start to see why American Christians are a force not to push too far for when they do they shall see something that has not been seen since World War II. The pursuit of happiness is not limited to the selfish it is for all. America is a Christian nation. It was truly founded by those that wish to freely worship God. You threaten that freedom as was threatened in the 1700s then history most likely will repeat itself. If this does happen the “children” within this nation will find themselves lacking in the will and fortitude required. A fortitude that was instilled within Christians for they were disciplined when they grew up and know that temper tantrums result in nothing but the “child” ending up crying in the end.
Confessions of a screwed up middle aged man: Disappointment
The other day I posted one of my other blog post in the only Christian forum I belong to. Before the day was over it was removed, which is why I was disappointed. Not that it was removed, but as I see it the reasons for it removal.
This blog post had to deal with the extremism within the church of how they approach their faith. On the one hand we had up until the 1400s the one and only church, the Catholics. They had adopted an “it is all works” mentality. They made ritual after ritual and offered writs in forgiveness of any sin committed. This led to open sin and ultimately rebellion in the form of Martin Luther’s thesis and the Reformation. Now today we are suffering form it is all faith, which has been twisted due to the hippie movement of the 1960s, which at its core was secularism, that we must love all. Both are extremes, both totally remove God and His Son Jesus Christ from the equation and leave only humanity at its core and focal point. Thus are worthy by those that profess God to be their focal point to openly rebel against those that embrace this extremism that negates God all together.
In the post I received a comment. In it the person referred to Galatians 5:6.
“For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.”
Now when you place Galatians chapter five in context you find that it deals only with the fact that it refers to the point that both Jews and Gentiles are welcome within Christendom through the saving grace and love of our Savior Jesus Christ.
Now just so you the reader can understand. The context of my previous post had to deal with James 2:14-26 which dealt with the fact that it takes both faith a.k.a. love and works which are not rituals but acts of commitment to Jesus Christ like for example the act of repentance.
So back on track. I pointed out to the commenter that very point that their comment was totally out of context with my article. The reply I got was my post being removed from the forum.
The only thing the commenter saw was the word “love.” This is the mark of someone that had fallen for the extremism of “love conquers all” and “we must embrace all as they are.” These are the key marks of the hippie movement that came out of the sixties and Satan. I know this because I was there and saw the words “love” and “peace” everywhere I went; along with movies which depicted orgies and mass drug abuse. This mentality does not allow for there to be the need for works like that of the most important act that someone must take to acknowledge their commitment to Jesus Christ as their Savior, that being repentance. In fact those that embrace this extremism say that we must accept people as they are no matter what sins they live within. It is this type of extremism that allowed two young men to stand in front of all the people in what was once a church as one kneeled down and proposed to the other. Now I say “what was once a church” for the moment they accepted this sin into their congregation they chose humanity over God as their core belief and no longer were a part of the Body of Jesus Christ, and so the term “church” no longer applies to them. They are simply a social club of love. A love that will not lead to the feet of God, but to the pit of fire.
This is why I am disappointed that my blog post was removed from my Christian forum, because someone became offended in the politically correct mentality which again is something that is humanity focused not God focused. I forgive them for their sin they have commit, not to me, but to whom I serve. My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 4:1-5
The swing of the pendulum
When Christianity began to grow after Jesus ascended to His Father Christianity was in balance. Then as it grew and men started to think they knew more than God and changed the Bible to their suiting it became all about works. To this day still some think this way. Then Martin Luther came along and split the church, but he went to the other extreme of all faith, and that too has been corrupted by the insistence of humanity.
Here is what that Bible states though:
James 2:14 – What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
So we cannot live in faith alone which many now use the word “love” as the meaning of this faith. True we are to love all, but we are to do good works as well and this is not only our actions but how we say certain things to be people.
You see we you say you love someone, but you allow them to live in a sin that will mean their eternal death, this is not love, but selfishness. For you do not wish to truly share the love of God with any other. You see if you did, in love, you would go to this sinner and show your true love for them and tell them that if they stay in their sin they shall be dead in the eye of the Lord. This action, these words, are works.
Note the last verse:
“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
This tells you in no uncertain terms that those without salvation are without a spirit and so are destine to death, which is the pit of fire. So you must through your faith act upon their sins and help them to find the true love of our Lord the Jesus Christ and to be reborn in true repentance, which is also works that are done with eternal love.
So in the future remember that it is not good enough just to love everyone, but you must love them enough to let them know how to get to God, through Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 4:1 – I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
The light is brighter than it has ever been and it is showing just how corrupt the church really is
Two thousand years ago Jesus walked around the hills near Nazareth. We are coming upon the pure two thousandth anniversary of His crucifixion and resurrection.
It is a time when people should be thinking more and more about their place in the eternal life we are ALL promised to be given. Yet most in this world can think of only one thing. This world.
Due to social media, Television, and radio nearly the entire world can get a snapshot into the hearts of their fellow humans like in no other time in history. Those in power cannot say the Bible says to do this, when in reality it never said any such thing. Approximately one thousand years ago this could be and was done. This led to bloodshed in the Holy Lands due to the corrupted and human hearts of men.
Between 1456 when the Gutenberg Bible was first printed till nearly two hundred years later (approximately 1611) when the first normal printing of the King James Version of the Bible become common place. Growth in the true understanding of the Bible took place. Halfway between these two dates Martin Luther gave birth to the Great Reformation of the Body of Christ as it was fractured into many denomination due to the corruption of the Catholic Church which up until then was the only religion within Christendom. From these years till within the mid-1960s humanity strived as best it could to be a reflection of the Son of God.
Now though humanity is pulled this way and that due to the very inventions I mentions above. They find no real time to read the words of their Creator. Many even deny they have a Creator, but that is not where the corruption lies. For Jesus Christ knew this time would come and even instructed John in the book of Revelation to write a letter to the church that exists in this time. Here is that letter:
Revelation 3:14 – And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Due to the primaries for the president of the United States of America the stark reality of this letter is shown to prove the Bible as fact and the truth that not only is God real, but that His Son is still alive and watching over us.
There will be those that are going to say: “What you are saying is not true, He was referring to the church in Laodicea and to them alone.”
This is not accurate though. You see the seven churches can exist and have existed concurrently and yet they are also linear. Concurrently refers to any body that gathers in the name of Jesus Christ at any given point in history. While linear takes the Body of Christ as a whole throughout the centuries. The first letter referring to the church as a whole during the early years of the Body till the last letter before Christ’s imminent return to the face of this planet we all live upon.
The letter to Laodicea is the last letter, the seventh letter for the seventh age of the Body of Christ as a whole. We are living in this seventh and last age before Jesus Christ places His feet back upon the ground of this earth at the Mount of Olives.
Many say they are rich and are increased with material possessions and have a need for nothing. They seek after more and more the possessions of the earth. They wish to have a newer car, a larger house to hold all the possessions they have acquired. Many of which sit in their basements or addicts doing nothing but gather dust, bugs and rotting away.
They have through the votes they have cast through the primary process shown to the world due to technology that most are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.
Their wretchedness and misery has in turn made them poor. They are blind to the truth of the Bible and so, even though professing to be true to God have thrown their hopes and desires onto someone that is shown within the Bible itself to be a false teacher. The complete opposite of what any that calls themselves a “Christian” would say is worthy of their support.
Once upon a time they would have sought after this person to try and convert him to Christianity, but now in their blindness they call him a “savior,” thus showing their nakedness. They have stripped off the belt of truth and accepted the lies of the false teacher as fact. The have removed the sandals by not reading the Word of God for themselves so that they on their own can see what God says to do from the Bible and so they are tossed this way and that in worry and anger. They have laid down their shield of Faith and given in to disbelieve. As a result the straps that hold their helmet of salvation has become dry rotted and is in jeopardy of breaking, thus cast off their helm to damnation. Their sword of the Spirit is dull for it has not been refined and sharpened by understand the true Word of God, so as to stand as a defense from the world and its corrupting onslaught of lies that have twisted the true meaning of the Gospel. Thus leaving them naked to the world as they lose their righteousness and willingly accept the unrighteousness of the world as truth when it is nothing but a lie built upon lies told by liars.
Ephesians 6:10 – A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
This is the reality we are in today and due to the light of God though the Bible the actions of those that stand naked to the world are there for all to see, but they think themselves to be clothed in the grace of Jesus Christ are showing to the world their true state. Yet most are blind to these truths I have just shown unaware that those that hate Christ see them for what they truly are and scoff and laugh at them behind their backs saying for all to hear: “See there is no such thing as God, for those that say they follow Him do not do as the Bible says.”
Here someone will say that those that do not know Jesus do not know the Bible. Satan is a fallen angel of God. He knows the Bible and so do his most loyal servants. They know the Bible so as to be able to pervert it to their needs, lusts and desires.
They are better equipped to defeat those that seek to serve God, for they have a secret weapon, those that seek to serve God. For we are corrupt beings and even though we ask Jesus Christ to be our Savior, due to our corrupt bodies, minds, even though our soul may be renewed in the Glory of Jesus’ saving grace, we must strive daily to seek out to be a better image of He that shed His blood in our place. Which is why we are to wear and care for the armor of God. For when we do not care for it we will be shown, as is now being demonstrated through those that vote for a false teacher, that we are only human and subject to mistakes, but these mistakes due to not knowing the Bible cannot only lead to the death of innocents, but to our own death in the eyes of God, which will lead to an eternity not in His glorious service but an eternity in agony, sorrow and pain within the pit of fire.
Confessions of a screwed up middle aged man: An echo from the past seen through the imperfect mirror called humanity
As I watched both the “King of the Kings” and the “Son of God” this holy Easter weekend. It struck me suddenly as I watched the sentencing of Jesus that Passover day nearly two thousand years ago. I watched as Pilate asked the gathered crowd before him which of the two men, Barabbas or Jesus he should release.
In reality we do not know the makeup of the crowd as has been portrayed multiples times in shows and movies. What we do know was the choice and the choice was made by the people.
What struck me and caused me to look upon this sentencing in a new light was the events the United States finds themselves in one again. The selection of a president of this nation. What has caused me to make this comparison between the two was how the Republican primaries have been unfolding.
It has come down to two men for the people of the nation to choose from. Now there will be those that will insist that this comparison is foolhardy on my point. Why this is, is because they have no true understanding of the salvation of Jesus Christ, which was given unto all humanity willing to hear and answer when He rose from the dead three days after that very trial.
For any that truly hear and understand when they think upon this comparison they will see exactly that which I have seen myself.
On the one hand we have our Barabbas. He is a liar. He lives in lust and freely admits that he has cheated upon his many wives including the fact that he will do the same with the current one. He graves after money and power, prideful and arrogant. He says he will accomplish great wonders yet the very next day or even the very next hour he states something totally opposite. Yet still millions flock behind him and call him savior of the nation. The Bible shows him to be a false teacher as seen in the words of 2 Peter 2. Yet still millions flock behind him and call him savior, and no I am not being flippant with the word “savior.” For when you look at what these people say and how they respond and act when they are challenged. The worship him and adore him as that very word “savior.”
Now we have had at minimum three possibly four men in the Republican primaries that can be called “Christian.” Those that were a better reflection than what is left were not supported by the people. Now we are down to one that even comes close to reflecting Jesus Christ. Is he good reflection of Jesus? No, but who is. What can be said is that he is a better reflection than any other of either party that this nation picks from.
So we have a Barabbas and we have a weak reflection of Jesus. Yet how has the vote been going? To date the people as in that time two thousand years ago have been picking Barabbas over the best choice. It is sad that it is not the man that will be crucified but this nation which will be placed upon that cross this time.
