If you don’t know what is morally right how can you be moral?

Here is an interesting question. In the Bible it states clearly that there will be those that will stand before God that had never heard of Him. Yet by their own conscience they will have led a moral life. What I also find interesting is in how the sentences were formulated. The implication is that these people were few and far between and that those that led amoral life’s far outnumbered them.
This is one reason I feel we have a Bible. A handbook of instructions of how we are to attempt to lead a good and moral life. The key book within the Bible is the book of Leviticus as I mentioned to a friend the other day that anything that requires a sacrifice in the early days of the Jewish faith after Mount Sinai can be called a sin and something that is not moral. There are also instances where a paragraph starts with (to paraphrase) God told Moses then fallowed a group of items not to do then ended with for “I am the Lord your God” or such, and that these things were also sins.
One reason for this is due to the fact that God did not want things that were taking place in Egypt and Canaan to enter into the lives of first the Jews and then those that would follow. Why? Because these sins were things that would lower and debase the human race which God does not desire.
The ultimate goal of God is for all of humankind to be second within the universe with only the trinity of God being greater. We are to be over the angels and we are to be given greater deeds and tasks for the glorification of God. Satan however does not wish to be ruled. In fact he desired to supplant God and in ways he still does for he seeks to have humans through the centuries worship him.
Many theories have been thrown out there as to how this is possible, but there is evidence not only in the Bible but throughout this planet that supports this. But I am getting off track.
What is necessary is that we read the Bible and especially the books like Leviticus, Deuteronomy, Proverbs and Psalms so we can see what is right and glorious in the eyes of God and in so doing do what is moral and right.

A foundational misunderstanding that can lead folks down the wrong path

Re-post
I recently had a discussion with someone who has the belief per him “we live in a New Testament world where all things are permissible but not all things are profitable”
He was referring to a loose translation of 1 Corinthians 10:23 in which the discussion of that chapter was about being able to eat of something that had been sacrificed either by the Jews or the Gentiles since being Christian we are no longer required to sacrifice due to the sacrifice of Christ upon the Cross and the giving of his blood and life for our salvation.
His perception and wording leads many to think that they can do whatever they wish, but as I point out to him the preceding two verses to the one he was referring this is not that case:
“You cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?”
This once again points to my previous posts that states we still must look to what is God’s and what is not. We are to not sin or we are to sin, it is still either cold or hot. (Revelation 3:15-16)
I truly understand the human mind, being one myself. Our desire to seek out that which gives us the most happiness, yet sometimes there is no happiness when we stop sinning some types of sins at the beginning of our decision to stop.
One type of sin if we stop it would mean we could no longer live a life we have lived and still be with the person we loved. This would give us great sorrow, but it is something that must be done.
What many still do not comprehend is that this life we now live is a short and fleeting one. One that will last like but a blink of an eye when compared to our true eternal life we are all promised. It is how we want to live the eternal one that we must address now in this time of trial and tribulation.
God tells us many times within the Bible that it is without sin that we must come to Him and it is only through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ that this is accomplished. We must seek Him out and ask Him into our lives and once we truly do this the old and the sinful shall fall away.
Yet as I have said time and again not all our sins leave us all at once. Some can take a long time to be purged from us as God prunes us for His glory, but they shall fall away because we place God before all else.
Yet there are those that call themselves “Christian” that still place themselves first. It is for these I have the greatest sorrow, for theirs shall be like those shown towards the end of 2 Peter 2:
18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

The false image of humanity and Christianity

One of the complaints that comes up when people state that the United States is a “Christian nation.”
Is what happened to the Native Americas at the hands of those that came from Europe to make this nation and the subsequent expansion to the lower forty-eight states of this nation.
Here is what people do not wish to acknowledge or know.
Mark 7:20 – And then he added, “It is what comes from inside that defiles you. 21 For from within, out of a person’s heart, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, envy, slander, pride, and foolishness. 23 All these vile things come from within; they are what defile you.”
They assume because people profess to be “Christian” that they are acting under the direction of God. When as you can tell from these verses the evil that humanity has done to other humans comes from themselves, not God.
So to blame Christianity for the crimes and misdeeds of humanity is not only an injustice to God, but is a lie and another type of excuse to allow people to live freely in sin.
Should humanity have done the evil they have done throughout all the ages man has walked upon this earth? No.
But to throw the blame upon God, His Son or Christianity is false and wrong for any to do.
Time and again the people of Israel are shown that they themselves turned their backs upon God so that they could live in sin. To worship idols. To attack their own neighbors out of their own hatred, selfishness and greed.
None of this is taught within the Bible.
Jesus taught to love thy neighbor as you would love yourself.
This means that when they forced Native Americans from their lands they were showing that in reality they hated themselves and due to their self-hatred sought after ways to make themselves feel better about themselves by denigrating others. You can see this very act being done by those that deny and say they hate God and Christianity. It is not Christians they hate but themselves and they seek solace for their own self-loathing unaware that they are attacking the very source that can give them what they truly and deeply seek.
They have no true concept of what they are doing for in their hatred refuse to read or even listen to the evidence of the truth that can be found with the Bible and from Christians that truly do strive to follow the word of God.
Now we must understand an important point though.
There are those that call themselves “Christian” that have this very same self-loathing and too seek solace.
Why is this?
Because in reality they are not truly “Christian.”
They take the words of others as (excuses the pun) gospel.
When they are not in reality receiving the word of God.
But the gospel according to humanity.
Christ makes it clear that we are to love God with all our heart, mind and soul. By giving this love we seek to do all thing for His glory. ALL THINGS.
So for example these false teachers say you can call upon God to give you wealth upon this earth. This is a lie.
So for example these false teachers say that this group of people is less than you and you are to rule over them. This is a lie.
The Bible says our rewards are not of this earth and that those that are rich will have a more difficult time entering into the eternal life if at all.
The Bible says we are to place ALL others before ourselves. If we do that and we treat them as we would like to be treated ourselves. Then we would never seek to harm them, for only very few seek to harm themselves and that is mainly due to not knowing or understanding the Word of God.
So understand. Those that divide. Those that promote hate. Those that seek to be have dominion over their fellows. Do so for their own selfish and sinful desire and needs, for they are corrupt and evil.
The only way to escape this cycle is to truly ask Jesus Christ into their lives and to truly come to understand the Bible and the peace that is taught within it.

When those that think they are doing right when in reality, they are not

Here is one of the greatest challenges to any within humanity. Truly understanding if their actions are or ever would be considered “right.”
To have an understanding of this we must come to an agreement on what is “right.” Well for thousands of years there was such a document that did establish what is “right.”
For nearly fifteen hundred years those that were rich or had power knew the truth of what can be called “right.” Yet due to the infallibility of all humanity most fell prey to those sins and lusts that usually effect those that are rich and powerful. They desire more of both. Is this then what is “right?” in their minds they justified it to being so, yet in reality their actions for the majority were not right nor were they even close to being right.
Then this document came into mass circulation for even the most common of humanity to be able to read it.
They saw the corruption and sought, many times in vain to correct what was wrong with what was truly right.
Now we come to today’s society. Here we see those that protest the mistreatment of this group or that group. They take offence to how words are spoken. They take offence to how one group is treated differently in their eyes from another group. Is this the true pursuit of what is “right?” The answer to that is no. Yet if you say this you have automatically offended them and you are labeled the one who hates, when this is the furthest thing from the truth.
What is truly “right” can still be found within this document. This document is the Bible. This is where you can find what is “right.”
Then what is “right?”
It is the act of placing God at the center of all your actions and all your words. It is following the teachings of Jesus Christ. It is accepting Christ as your Savior and submitting ourselves to seeking after it till we are called to heaven that is what is truly “right.”
Yet there are many that will deny this and call people like myself, lunatic, mad man, and idiot.
Why? For this is not want they have been taught is “right.” They will strive to diminish and abolish what is “right,” for to them what is truly right is their freedom to live their lives as they see fit, no matter if it is acceptable to the “right” and the “norm” that has been established for thousands of years. For they have grown where those in the past of not grown, per them.
Yet if you read the Bible it is shown how many in the past that are considered to be sinners desired the exact some type of “right,” as they are seeking.
This in itself shows that they are not seeking after what is “right,” because it, in their eyes, is not the same unrighteousness as was born by those in the past.
Yet that is exactly what it truly is unrighteous.
You show them the truth, and they deny it, they reject it, why?
For to acknowledge it would mean they have hurt people in their selfish lusts and desires, they have hurt themselves. They fear that if what is truly “right” is righteous then they are doomed.
For they see no way out of being in the wrong.
Yet this is not what Jesus Christ promised us all. He have given us a way to seek after “right” and “righteousness” and it all lies through Him. All they need do is acknowledge Him and turn their backs upon unrighteousness, no matter its form. From living in sin to seeking after the destruction of others.
They must place God first in every action and every aspect of their lives for a failure to do so ends only in misery and agony that will last for all eternity.

Those that support those that deny God make themselves denied as well

re-post
I keep coming back to this topic because this is a burden upon my heart, given to me by God. The importance is extreme. Why? Far too many out there think they can change a group that is denying God.
I am trying to get these people to understand where they are placing themselves with God. They keep thinking of what they can see about them. Thinking it is in their power to change this group, but it is too far gone to be redeemed. What is now of import is their own place with God.
What is this group? The Democratic Party yet many that call themselves “Christian” refuse to leave it. Here is what the Bible says about those that deny Jesus has the Democratic Party has done:
Matthew 10: 32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Since this group has officially denied God by removing any mention of Him within their official documents and items listed within the public domain they will find themselves denied by Christ unto God.
This is where people say: “Well I can change it from the inside” or “this doesn’t affect me because I am a ‘Christian.’” BUUZZZZZZZ wrong answer.
James 4: 17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
To do good you must not support sins that are called sins within the Bible. If you support a group that proudly supports Abortion (human sacrifice), Homosexuality, lying as well as others sins and most importantly the denial that there is a God. You yourself even though you profess to be against it are in turn guilty of these sins for you knowingly support these sins even though you yourself are not doing them. It makes no difference, you are denying God by proxy and so Christ denies you by proxy.
Additional Note added 6/24/16: This can now be said in part of the Republican Party as well.

They say we must love all but then……..

Once again I have encountered another of those that states that Jesus says to love all. I referred them to 1 John 3 and suggested they read the entire chapter. They said they did.
Yet all they took from it was verse 11. They did not take to heart the previous verses nor the verses that followed especially verse 14 and 15:
“If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers, it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead. Anyone who hates another brother or sister is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them.”
This states it plainly and clearly. You can say you love all you wish, but if sin is still within them then they are dead. For if you truly love them you will seek to bring them into eternal life. For if they say they love and show no love towards those that are followers of Christ then it is shown they are not one with Jesus and so are outside the true love of God and are dead and are in fact murderers for they bring others into damnation and death.
We must follow the teaching of Jesus Christ and we must follow all the commandments. If God says something is a sin then it is a sin and we must stop doing it. We must also help others to come to realize that if they live in any sin and do so without guilty or repentance then they may not be one with God or His Son the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.
When challenged with these fact this person I encountered become argumentative and insulting, which shows their standing with God as is witnessed by this very passage of the Bible. This is how many of the “love” followers respond and act when they come face to face with the word of God. All I can say is that it is very sad that they do so for all their love has been revealed for the true lie it is as they shower those that shine the light of truth upon them with their hatred and disgraceful mannerisms.

The “free-will” dilemma

This is one of those things that people just don’t truly understand.
When God created Adam He placed within this human the ability to use “free-will.” This has been passed down to all humanity. It is the ability to use our minds to decide on our own what we wish to do.
When Eve partook of the tree of knowledge of what is right and what is wrong it was a test of the very gift given by God to His most important creation of all. God knew that both Eve and then Adam would fail. God knew that great trials and tribulations that would follow for the billions of lives that were to exist from that moment that he decided to make humanity until the time of the Great White Throne Judgment.
Yet God was still pleased that He created us. God still loved and currently still does love us. It is His desire that each person come to have a personal relationship with Him and His Son. Here is the thing that people wish to ignore due to having “free-will.” Many have convinced themselves that once they are saved and have entered into this personal relation with God and His Son that “free-will” is suddenly gone. It no longer has any affect upon their lives.
Here is the one thing that Catholicism did get right, but their manner of dealing with it actually compounded the problem instead of truly trying to address it through the need of going to confession. By going to confession actually makes people feel they can continue to live in their sin and have no need to be truly repentant.
To be truly repentant means the person must leave the sin behind completely. Is this easy? In most cases no it is not. Why? Because of free-will. Humanity due to the gift of free-will must deal with this gift which at times can be a curse on a daily basis.
Since the gift of free-will never leaves us we daily make choices that affect how we do things. It is though reading the Bible and learning the way that God truly wishes us to live that we teach ourselves a type of discipline in how to control our free-will. That is why there is reference within the Bible of many that are one with God that turn their backs upon God due to free-will. Look at David for example. Someone that as a child was beloved by God for his love and his faith in the Creator of all. He becomes the first king of Israel to totally unite the twelve tribes. However, he turns his back upon God and through his free-will lusts after his neighbor’s wife. For the terrace to where Bathsheba bathed could be seen from the palace which was right next door. David then committed murder to hide his sin of adultery. Yet was he not at one time in harmony with God? Did not God bless him and give him the insight as a mere child into how to slay the Nephilim Goliath.
This is the acts of free-will and they can happen after you are in a true relationship with God and His Son Jesus Christ. As is witnessed in John 15 you can be of the vine of Jesus Christ. Saved, born-again, yet you can turn your back upon God and bear no fruit in your salvation. God Himself will break off your branch from Jesus and give it back to humanity which will then cast you into the fire which is a simple of the pit of fire where all go that do not truly follow Jesus Christ.
David realized his sins and repented of them as best he could. Bathsheba also repented and from them came Solomon who built the first great temple to God. And from David’s line ultimately came the ultimate salvation which is Jesus Christ.
Free-will is our ally and at the same time it is our enemy due to all knowing what is right and wrong from that fruit that Eve and Adam ate so long ago. Without the knowledge and the teachings of the Bible we are to be tested by our own free-will. How we overcome these tests that our free-will puts us through daily is our ultimate test of our faith and belief in our Creator and His Son the Lord Jesus Christ.
Just because we have asked Jesus into our hearts does not mean we can do as we wish and however we wish to live our lives. If we do this we will quickly fall back into the world and our selfish and self-centered desires and wishes. This is why David and his sins as king affected all of Israel. How does our ignoring free-will and the consequences it is causing any better? What ripples are we causing by not following the teachings within the Bible? That is obvious if you listen to the news and look about you at things that are effecting your lives.
This is all the results of free-will and not learning to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ that is the Bible.
Ponder that for a while.

Extremist

I heard this word today and so I decided to seek clarification for all about this word. So I will start with the definition and go from there.
Extremist – 1. a person who goes to extremes, especially in political matters.
2. a supporter or advocate of extreme doctrines or practices.
Extremism – belief in and support for ideas that are very far from what most people consider correct or reasonable
Extreme – : very great in degree
: very serious or severe
: very far from agreeing with the opinions of most people : not moderate
The key in these definitions is the words “most” and “moderate.”
As I look over these definitions what I see as important to realize is what if someone that is not amongst most that are moderate and sees someone of an opposing view point. To them since they themselves are not moderate would see someone on the other side as extreme.
But what is moderate?
That is the big question these days. I can actually see both sides of this issue and I understand why there is confusion. Here is the dilemma.
As of 2014 per http://www.gallup.com/poll/180452/liberals-record-trail-conservatives.aspx moderates form 38 % of the population, 34 % are conservative, and 24 percent are liberal. This has been changing due to actions by those in power and in the education of our college students since the 1960s.
Still only 24% of the population is liberal but many of these are in important parts of the government, business, and especially education. These in reality would be those that should be call “extremist.” Why? Because of the founding principles of this nation:
1) Rights come from God, not government
2) All political power emanate from the people
3) A limited representative republic
4) A written constitution
5) Protection of private property
These are conservative, but are the foundation of this nation. This is why those that are liberal could be considered extremist, because for one they do not fall into the boundaries of the majority that being the moderate and conservative combined. Then for the other reason have no desire to attempt to conform to what is moderate and wish to discount God, remove the political power from the people, have the government control all; remove the constitution (since is it is antiquated) and wish none to own anything but have it all owned by everyone (everyone being those like themselves since they know what is best for all). But should we call them that? No we should not. In fact I feel no one should be called extremist within the borders of the United States at this time.
A true example of extremism is those that flock to ISIS, in which it is their belief that only they are perfect and all others are inferior. That women are not equals. That homosexuals should be killed. That slavery is the natural order for those that are inferior to them for they are not human. That behead those that do not agree with them.
That is a true example of extremism.
But back to the U.S. So when I hear someone use the term extremist it tells me that someone is not looking correctly at this nation and it works and need to awaken to that fact that they actually have it good here.
Simply the moment someone says that someone is an “extremist” they need to be called out and told that is a word you should not throw about so loosely. It is a word that shows the user is prejudice and needs to be educated in the hate they are causing and spreading.

God is not neutral

I ran into a post on Facebook last night that caused me to read a linked article. I would love to include this in the post, but it appears the person posting it didn’t like my response and so I cannot find it again to allow you to read it.
What the article implied is that “Christians” need to make themselves more appealing to the masses to bring more into “Christianity.”
Here was the first problem. Christians are told to be a reflection of Christ. Does this mean to be kind, loving and caring? By all means yes, but the person writing the article had issues with those that show where the Bible says we should not tell people not to sin because this infringes on this person’s right to live as they wish.
Here was the kicker for me though. The person writing the post said God does not take sides for God is just God. The implication was that God is neutral. A being that sits above looking down and does not interact with His creation. This in itself would negate the need for Jesus to have come into this reality and to have died upon the cross for our sins.
Here is the point I want to get across. God is not neutral. He is already on a “side.” For the Bible tells us clearly that it is we the humans that must choose a side. This is why we have free will. The person writing the article stated that God does not belong to any party, not to disagree but that is not true, as I stated in my reply to this post in Facebook was that officially per the Bible, God was not a democrat. This is true. For democrats support things within the Bible that are called sins. Sins are of the world and are on the opposite side of God. For the Bible clearly states that if humans befriend the world they are the ENEMIES of God. In another post I re-posted a few days ago and showed several key elements within the Democratic Party that shows them to be the enemies of God. As Jesus said Himself a house divided cannot stand. So since God cannot be His own enemy those that befriend and live in the world and support sin and even encourage sin are on the opposite side of God.
Those that come to know that God is real and accept Jesus Christ are their Savior know that they must strive daily to become more and more like Jesus. When doing this they know they are getting closer and closer to the light, the good and the glorious. For this is the side that God has always been on. Any that say we must make “Christianity” more appealing to the masses have no true concept of what it means to be a child of God, and I truly am sorry for them and pray that they may one day see the light before it is too late, but time is running out in that department for all.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Confessions of a screwed up middle-aged man: Conflict

So here is the situation I am in at the moment. My step-daughters were not raised in the full light of the Lord and allowed to acclimate to the world. Now don’t get me wrong about them. They are wonderful young women and know there is a God. They are also teens. As we all know teens wish to buck the system, push their boundaries and see how things fall.
When not versed in the Bible though this causes confusion and misunderstandings. A main issue of uncertainty and misinterpretation has to do with the LGBT community. They know I am not happy with these folk’s choices, and so they have come to assume that I hate people that have made these choices in their lives. This is not how I feel at all. I actually am saddened by their choices and have befriended many and when given the chance let them know how I saw their decision.
The other day though, the wife told me in a way what I just related to you the reader. Here is my actual response I gave my wife:
“Well, when they tell this to my face I will say, ‘why is it you hate them?’” The response pointed to the girls.
The wife responded: “You just like to start conflicts.”
I said: “No I don’t. I want to help them understand.”
You see they have not asked Jesus into their lives yet. To them they still say “If there is a God…..”
I cannot say this. I have seen too much and learned too much to ever say “If” ever again. Since to me there is a God and His Son Jesus came upon this earth two thousand years ago and died for OUR sins and then rose again on the third day. This causes me to see the world in black and white. There is no grey for those that walk in the grey are worse off than those in the black. At this time my daughters are walking between the grey and the black, while their friends have embraced the black.
Can they come into the light, into the white? That is my prayer and hope for all concerned, but to cause this to happen there must be conflict. They need to be shown the truth.
Yes, befriend those that live in sin, but you can never support or encourage that which is against God. It clearly states in the Bible if you befriend the world you are an enemy of God. But it also says we are to love our enemies, but to do this we must let them know, from this love, that if they do not leave their lifestyle choice that they will suffer greatly.
If you see someone cutting themselves would you not stop them? Would you not get them help? Well this is what those that are going into the LGBT lifestyle are doing. It is obvious that they are “cutting themselves.” All can see it yet extremely few are trying to help them. Instead the majority encourages them and celebrates their self-mutilation.
I wish to help them, but because God has been removed more and more from society by those that deny there is a God. I and those like me are seen as evil when we are a shining light of the truth to the world in the service of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
