Christian

Yes by Grace, but………

In Romans 2:13 a statement is made that many ignore or don’t know. It says to be Justified you are to follow the “law.” Now remember all the letters were written for those that called themselves “Christian.”
My point being if you are covered by Christ’s blood why worry about the law?
Because Jesus Himself made it clear He was brought into this world to fulfill the law NOT REPLACE IT. This is what people don’t want to acknowledge. People say things that imply Christ replaced the law and so now it is unimportant to follow it.
John 14:15 – If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 14: 21 – He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
2 Corinthians 2: 9 – For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.
James 2: 24 – Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Matthew 7: 21 – Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Now we must come to an understanding here. Jesus came into this reality and died upon the cross giving His blood to fulfill the law and the prophets:
Matthew 5: 17- Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
This is where people start to mess up. They take the word “fulfill” and replace it with “replace.” Do you know that Jesus actually added to the law he came to fulfill?
The Ten commandants are a preamble of the law. The book of Leviticus is the law. Christ added Love God with all your mind and heart and to love your neighbor as you would love yourself. So in actuality there are 12 commandants with the last two I just stated as number one and two.
Now as I said the actual law in Leviticus, what Jesus Christ fulfilled was the blood sacrifice he endured so we were no longer bound to make these sacrifices as called out in the book. Here is the kicker though that most try to avoid, don’t know or even care to know in many cases. The sins listed in the book of Leviticus which required the blood sacrifices is still there and still accountable thus Christ fulfilling the blood sacrifice allowing all that choose to honor and SERVE Him to wash us clean of our sin.
Mark 12:29 – And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Does this mean we are free to continue to live in this sin? No we cannot.
In John “keep my commandments” … “hath my commandments and keepeth them”
Really note James 2:24 – faith alone is not enough but actions as well. Well what are these actions? The commandments and turning from all the sins listed in Leviticus.
In Matthew 7:21 it states that you must do the will of Christ’s Father who is in Heaven. That is God, the Lord Almighty.
Do you know Lord is mentioned 278 times in Leviticus and many of the time it is statements like: “The Lord spoke to Moses” This means this is the will of God, will of the Father. Yet most refuse to accept and acknowledge this. They just want the Grace but not the obedience God asks for. This leads to the results of Matthew 7:21 of “Not everyone that says unto Christ: ‘Lord Lord’ shall enter into the kingdom of heaven.
In Matthew 5:18 it states clearly that the law is still present till every aspect of it is fulfilled. Since the Great White Throne Judgment has not transpired then aspects of the law still pertain like what the law was created to allow to happen namely a blood sacrifice to clean the person that sinned an avenue to be seen by God.
1 John 2:15 – Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Once again I return to the black and the white. This is not the only verse in the Bible that makes this distinction yet people just do not want to hear it. They want to live in their sin which is of the world and say they love God, but as you can plainly see in the verse above this is not possible. Yet those that say Grace does it all and you do not have to answer to what is called a sin keep not telling you this important information. They are changing the Bible to suit their needs and desires. They are using Grace as a pawn to allow them to sin.
We are to be God’s obedient servant. God is not our servant yet this is what many teach. This is a new Gospel a new Bible. It is something we are told to avoid and to chastise those that do it, yet instead they are celebrated as recent event are showing all.
Galatians 1:8 – But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we preached unto you, let him be accursed.
More and more people are choosing to love the world and not God, but what is sad is due to those that have not correctly taught God’s Word many are ignorant to this very thing, ignorance which in itself is a sin.
You must learn what is called a sin. You can only find this is the book of Leviticus. Now once again, due to Christ going upon the cross we are not bound to do a sacrifice, but the sins requiring the sacrifice are still present. If you learn these sins and avoid doing them and have asked Christ into your heart you are doing both works and faith.
You cannot expect to enter into heaven by faith alone. That is made extremely clear, yet how many truly know this?
Now a point that needs re-emphasizing. Jesus dying upon the cross removed the need to follow the laws of sacrifice, but it never removed the laws of sin. Humans are imperfect and sinful and from humans is where all horror, evil and atrocities come from. It is the fact that we have free will and can think upon our own that murder takes place. It is due to the base human nature that caused the Holocaust. Humans have only one goal in mind for themselves…. their own personal happiness not caring if any other gets hurt.
A prime example… Planned Parenthood selling aborted baby body parts. This is hideous and heinous, but this is what happens when you say there is no God or think there is and live in sin. Evil begets evil and humans are evil. Only God begets good and only salvation comes through His Son the Lord Jesus Christ.
It must also be made clear, that if you truly love God and truly honor God you will willingly turn from sin and as I said a sin is anything in Leviticus God told Moses is something that cannot be done and is against God. If you cannot reject the sin then you love the world for that sin is a part of the world.
Repentance for the turning away from sin IS MANDATORY not an elective and any saying otherwise is lying to you. By the way lying is considered one of the worst of sins. Why? Because the person called the father of lies is Lucifer a.k.a. Satan.
So if you are being lied to how can you turn from a sin if you don’t know it is one? It is your responsibility, your works, to pick up a Bible and read it. Learn what is bad and good, wrong and right, black and white, cold and hot. For it is better to reject God altogether then to say you are His child and live in sin.
Revelation 3:15 – I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

What is repentance?

To repent means to turn from your sin. Basically to do a one-eighty. It means you stop doing that sin. This is not what is being taught if taught at all though. Many going about living their life’s doing as they wish. Usually contrary to the Bible, otherwise known as living in sin. Yet many go to church on Sunday and feel that their mere effort to show up at church is enough to redeem them in the eyes of God.
Well…….
Ummm…..
That ain’t how it works.
That is no repentance. To be blunt that is not even salvation.
To live a selfish life is totally opposite the teaching of the Bible. We are taught within the Bible to place God first and foremost and to do so every single day, not just Sunday. We are told to be humble and not to try and show ourselves as better than anyone else. Yet millions do just that and thousands of them call themselves “Christian,” again this is not repentance.
True repentance is a shattering of your very personality you have lived with before you asked Jesus into your life, yet many do exactly the same thing they did before they asked Him in. Some do change, but then something happens and they return to their old way of life. I know this for a fact because this happened to me, so don’t say that isn’t true when having lived it I know that it is true.
True repentance is painful, hard and something you beg and plead God to take from you. Gee, where did I see that take place in the Bible? Oh yea in an orchard just before the Pharisee’s men came to arrest Christ. Christ has been where you are, but He did not take the out He was given for His love of humankind and His selfless act was the greatest gift of all. What He accepted can easily be taken from you, but can still be emotionally painful and agonizing. In some cases you will be asked to leave that which you love, a person, money, and a lifestyle. It will hurt and it will take time for this pain to pass but it is something that must be done. But remember you cannot do it alone nor can you. For Christ Himself will help you through it. Reading the Bible will help you through it. Talking with those that have been though it can help you through it and praying can help you through it.
True love hurts and only through a true love of God and Christ will you ever get to truly understand that pain and why it is needed.

The re-crucifixion of Jesus

Just so we all are on the same page. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, only went upon the cross once. He only died upon it once. He then arose from the dead after going into hell and not only preaching unto those there but took the keys of hell from Satan and then returned to this plain of existence for forty day to teach and be seen. He then ascended into heaven and is still there ALIVE.
This is not the Christ which many wish to accept and follow though. So they re-crucify their version of Jesus.
Their version of Jesus did not die for their sin, he is just someone to hide behind and use as an excuse to continue to sin. Instead of being the Holy Lamb who shed His Holy blood to wash away our sin and allow us to stand proudly before God in plain view of His Gaze for we have accepted His Son and we have repented of our sins, turning away from them and casting them aside. No longer desiring to do them for we know they are an insult to God to do them. But again this is not the Jesus they re-crucify, theirs is a scapegoat instead of a lamb. Theirs is an excuse to continue to allow them to live in sin, for deep down they know that it is not allowed before God yet they still try and parade before God proud they live in the sin. Snubbing their nose at God and saying He is nothing that is worth giving away their sin for. Unaware that what they accept is a lie. They say this part of the Bible is good, but this part of the Bible is bad, twisting and turning God’s holy word into a perversion, even more hideous then the very sin they wish to continue to live within. It is this perversion of the Gospel this re-crucifixion of Jesus that is the worst sin of all, which is why liars are seen as the worst of sinners.
Galatians 1: 8 – But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Any that do not teach the FULL and COMPLETE Word of God and tells you that it is ok to live in sin, is per the Bible to “be accursed.” I wish none to suffer the horrors that are promised those that are found wanting in the eyes of the Lord. I beg you, I plead with you, repent. Turn from your sin and turn to Jesus for only His one crucifixion was enough for us all.
Isaiah 66: 24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Insight into the Great White Throne Judgment — revisited — The Judgment Card

This is to those that accuse someone of “judging” when in fact they are only quoting or paraphrasing from the Bible. If the person living their life through the Bible points out that you are in error understand that is all they are doing. They are not judging you. Are they saying “you will roast in hell.”? Most likely not, for that IS judging. If they are point out what God say within the Bible they are trying to teach how to live a better life. A life that could lead to a glorious, honorable and immortal life with God. So the next time you choose to throw the “Judgement Card” who is really judging who?
So the other day someone posed a question to my wife we both assumed had to do with Romans 2:13.
They presented her with:
For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.
Which is from the Revised Standard Version of the Bible. The wife and I rely upon the King James since is it closer to the original by nearly half a millennia.
I personally go to the next level which is to use Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance as well as the Theological Dictionary of the New Testament. Why? Because this gets me as close as possible to the original inspiration of God upon the writers of the books of the Bible, even though there are some even closer, but I have no way of seeing those. In the KJV the verse reads as such:
(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Also you must take the whole context of the discussion going on in the letter so we must expound further:
Romans 2: 1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things. 2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. 3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? 4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? 5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: 8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God. 12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; 13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: 15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) 16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
The actual full context of the discussion as seen above is about people judging others yet at the same time they do the exact same thing. What this indicates is those that are hypocrites before God and so whenever someone throws out the “Judgement Card” by saying you are judging them they are in fact adding to their own sins against God. Especially when the person they are accusing of judging them is only showing that the Bible states this fact or that fact. It is not the person judging them, but the Word of God through the Bible. So in reality who is judging who? The one teaching what is right and true through the Bible or the one living the sin and stating that you are judging them? I will leave you to think upon that answer.
But on to the rest of the discussion within Romans. As the verses continue it comes to an understanding of how the Great White Throne Judgment will proceed and explains how those that have never heard of God or His Son Jesus will be judged by God Himself as well as those that have heard of Him. There are those that have never heard of God. EVER. Yet they through their own conscience knew what was right and what was wrong. These are those that will be called “just” in the KJV or “righteous” in the RSV.
Yet those that have heard of God and live their life’s as is stated they should within the context of the Bible will be deemed justified for they have been good and loyal servants unto God.
What it truly boils down to is through your actions you will ultimately be judged by God and it is how you live your life is what will be judged by Him. If you read the Bible and learn what is right and what is wrong within the sight of God and you follow His instruction manual a.k.a. the Bible you will be deemed justified for you have followed God to the best of your ability by following the Bible as best you could.
Now it must be made clear. That those in today’s day and age and say they do not know God will still be judged by God as if they did know God. Why do I say this? For example everyone in the United States of America knows there is a God. They may choose not to follow Him or even deny He really is, but they have heard Him mentioned. This in itself makes them liable to follow the teaching of the Bible and to live their lives within it teaches.
I must also add that when applying Bible verses try not to take them out of context. Always make sure you have the full context of what is being discussed within the Bible verses that surround the verse you are referring because it can be twisted and preferred in a way that justifies the reader in allowing themselves to live a sinful life so remember this:
Romans 2: 8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

Should we be seeking peace?

Now I don’t mean peace on earth nor do I mean peace of mind in knowing you are a child of God, even though the latter is something we should consider with the “peace” I am referring too.
There is two poster posts that just make me think. One is the one where folks thank God they wake up to another day, the other is where people seek to have a peaceful existence here on earth. The latter one is more on the topic but both work hand in hand with what I wish to discuss.
In the Bible it is made clear that those that truly follow God will have trials and tribulation. It also states that those that follow God will be reviled and hated. It is also states that if we do honor to God He will time to time reward us for our efforts but not to expect all our rewards here upon this earth.
I think everyone can agree that we all go through ups and downs in our lives. What most don’t think upon including myself until I read the last poster post on Facebook. Every high point we encounter no matter how minor it may seem is a reward from God because it makes it very clear that truly being a child of Christ will be filled with harsh and hard times. This makes total and complete sense especially when you remember that our promised reward is not to be in this life but in the next and eternal life.
So why seek your reward here? Why do you seek peace? Why do you seek riches? This is not what we are promised by God. Yet many that call themselves “Christian” seek out these very things in this time and place. Isn’t that selfish? I sure think it is.
I recently met my eternal love. I know that is exactly who she is. She knows that we are to spend all eternity together as friends and companions. I consider her to be a reward from God. Yet even with her in my life I still encounter trials and tribulations. Are they easier with her in my life? Yes they are. Is she rich? No. Does she have peace to offer unto to me? At times yes. Mainly due to the fact that we are both Christians, and we place our burdens before our Savior.
This example is not what people seek, but this is a true reward from God. Many would rather have money which is useless beyond this temporal existence. Many would rather have no turmoil or pain so they avoid serving God to their full ability. Choosing themselves over God, and so the world a.k.a. Satan gives them peace. Gee I wonder how this will look at the Great White Throne Judgment? I’ll find out in time, as we all will.

Confessions of a screwed up middle aged man: A sad trend

Over the past few months I have become more and more aware of a trend that when you truly look at the consequences it is something to truly feel sorrow about. I have written different blogs in the past about different aspects of this trend and I realize that I myself have no power to change it. I must add it never was my job to change it, but it still saddens me that so many are in for a horrible surprise, a surprise I may add that I don’t even know I would avoid. Why? Because I do not fully understand what are God’s plans. Do I have insight into these plans? Yes we do, but where I stand within them between me and God; I like everyone else can only speculate. All we can do is strive to follow the teaching of God that are written within the Bible.
The main core of the trend is the whole hearted desire for many to live in the lukewarm or grey as I call it. A deep desire to say that they are one with God yet most willingly live their lives outside of the God’s teachings. To say that it is ok to sin because they have asked Christ into their heart and He will accept them as they are. This is a twisting of the Bible. A legitimizing of the Word of God to allow themselves to live within a lie built upon a lie.
Time and again I have tried to follow the road that Christ has set me upon. To be a teacher of the Bible, to give insight into the word of God that most have never bothered to read. Allow the few to tell them that a certain way is the way Christ really meant for the word of God to be read, but in reality it is not, but the people listen none the same. Why? Because they have not bothered to learn the word of God for themselves. If they had they would know that to say they are one with God and yet live in sin is an insult to God. So much so that the Glorified form of Jesus Christ said he would spit those that thought this way from His Body.
So yes they may have been a part of the Body of Christ at one time, but they are no longer, because God only sees you in black and white; cold and hot; evil and good; sinner and non-sinner.
I have actually cried for those that I know and those that I do not know that live within the grey. I wept because I love them and it would make my heart sing to know that they will live a true eternal life that will allow them to explore all of God creation, but they instead call me a fanatic, a loon, a nut and even a Nazi hunter. I understand why they do this. I refuse to conform. I refuse to live the status quo, for I see that it is not what the Bible teaches. I see that all that is called sin in the Bible is just that sin. I see that if you refuse to turn from sin you are embracing it and choosing it over God. Many times in the New and the Old Testament of the Bible it is made clear, either accept God or accept sin. It is not one and or the other.
Do we sin once we accept God into our lives? Yes we do, but if we do not change, if we do not turn from sin and stop doing it no matter the pain required to do so then the Bible says we will lose the greatest gift of all, God’s Love. Yet many out there say “See Jesus is love and he accepts you as you are.” this phrase is nothing more than grey, then lukewarm.
In John 15, Hebrew 12 it clearly states that we must go through tough times. That we must suffer pain and anguish as we turn from sin and embrace and honor our Father God through His Son Jesus. If you do not cast away the sin then you wish to live in it. It is hard to cast sin aside and sometimes it can take decades to finally shed it from you, but only through Christ is that possible. God does accept you as you are when you come to him, but He will change you into something that is righteous and holy and it will hurt and you will not commit that sin again and you will respect and give praise to God. Trust me I know this all too well and it was not a fun experience but I don’t even think about those sins that were a part of me when I first came to Christ and I am no longer that man that came to Him in 1986 for He has remade me into His child, a servant of Christ and humans.

“YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!”

Sorry couldn’t help using that phrase from the movie “A Few good Men.” Many in today’s society have developed a type of thin skin. They get locked into their little world and if anything disrupts it or challenges it is something to be hated and derided.
Many claim they are “tolerant” yet when it comes time to be that way they show themselves to be hypocrites. They wish to live in this perfect world of their own creation. Not caring if they are wrong or hurt others for they are not a part of their little sphere. This goes back to some of my earlier post which I state that the ultimate sin is selfishness. For from being selfish all other sins germinate. I still hold to that believe and it is one of those thing no human can truly loss, for at one time or another you will do something selfish.
It is amazing that when you fully read the Bible you learn in time that over and over God and even Jesus Christ try to show the reader that being unselfish is the purist and best way to look at and live life. This is the truth and most cannot handle it, and that is truly and deeply sad.
Mark 12: 30 – 31 – And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Philippians 2: 3- Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Romans 12: 10 – Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
James 4: 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
Matthew 23: 12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Misuse of the word “Love”

There is a big misconception going about that needs to be addressed. In one of my previous post “The hippie Jesus is alive and well but the true Christ is hard to find.” I tried to point out that love is not all happiness and joy and all is right with the world.
First we must remember that in proverbs it states that if a parent truly loves their child they would not spare the rod. I.e. spank them. Yet in today’s society that is something that is evil and taboo. It is amazing how what is right and good is suddenly the opposite. Big sign of troubles coming to this world yet most will just laugh it off and stop reading here just because I worded my sentence that way.
True love from a parent is not easy. They suffer as much as the child when they are forced to punish them, do you think God is any less upset?
When you allow a sin to grow. All those that allow it to grow actually say they hate the world and those they allow to sin. Now I am not saying go out and force people not to sin. That will never happen and then I would be the fanatic some of you already think I am.
A new awakening is now taking place. The world is now drawing the lines between those that will choose God and those that will choose sin. This line is not a straight line as many would assume but it cuts throughout groups that though themselves to be churches and those that have always thought they were not. It cuts across races, creeds and sexes.
What you need to understand is that those that are truly “Loved” by God avoid sin, for they have felt the guilt and discomfort sin brings into their lives. Those that deny God’s love embrace sin and embrace those that embrace sin. Once again the world is returning to black and white, sinner and saint, bad and good. Which side of the line do you stand upon?
If you stand with God and place Him first you have only one choice. Reject the sin and accept God.
Matthew 12: 30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

An insight into the Great White Throne Judgment

There will come a time when all will know and acknowledge that God and His Son Christ are real. Before that happens there will still be this life we live. Many have come to think that this is all there is. Beyond this life is nothing. Even those that count themselves amongst the saved think this. They think that they live this life and sit upon a cloud in heaven doing nothing for eternity. This is a fallacy, but before you get to know what is the true eternity many will have to stand before God. In the verses below you see how God will address certain issues:
Romans 2: 5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: 8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
He spells out how the judgment will proceed within these verses. A play by play of something that will take perhaps centuries to accomplish. One by one God will call up those before Him and they will partake of His just review of everyone’s lives, if they knew of God or not. He also shows which many that deny Him already acknowledge. That being, that you can do moral and good acts without knowing of God and he will judge you upon your heart, conscience and thoughts and if found just will be given eternal life. The only difference being those that know God will be considered “justified.” What many do not understand that in this day and age most know of God and so are accountable under the law of the Bible and so are not going to be like those that have never heard of God and lived a good life. They will be held accountable to the Bible and will have to overcome the Bible verse Matthew 10:33.
What we can take from this is that there are those that will strife to do right, while there are those that will strife to do evil. These others that do unrighteous acts and are indignant to God shall suffer “tribulation and anguish” for all eternity.
Many today think that Christians hate them when they chose to live a sinful life. This is the furthest thing from the truth. Any true Christian will strife to make you understand that to continue to live in sin will result in an eternal sorrow and sadness for those that chose sin over God. God makes it clear you cannot serve Him and sin, you must either choose the “white” or the “black.” For it truly is black and white, you cannot serve two masters. It is either God or sin, and the latter is something Christians wish no one to have to endure the consequences of.
Isaiah 66:24 – And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

If you learn Leviticus you will learn if you are living in sin.

Now let me start by saying this. Jesus Christ went to the cross for all humanity. He did so to be the last sacrifice, the ultimate sacrifice. Even those that have embraced Christ as their savior have learned that not all sin is washed away even though Christ and His father do not see it does not mean it does not need to be addressed by us. As you grow in your salvation you will willingly cast aside sins that still remain within you. Major sins though if not cast out right away need to be acknowledged and addressed as soon as possible. Why? Because you wish to say that God is first and above all else especially your own desires.
Within the book of Leviticus is the tools given to the Jews after their Exodus from Egypt to allow them to commune and be seen by God. We Christians through the blood of Christ need to acknowledge that these sins exist, if they do, within us and then to pray for Christ to give us His strength to cast it from us. Will it be easy? In some cases yes in other cases no it will be difficult, for if we do not acknowledge the sins Christ died for upon the cross then we deny the fact that He even went to the cross.
So I do find it extremely important to know what sins Christ took upon Himself and suffered for me so that I will do my best to cast that sin from me. On a personal note I wish you to know just how difficult it is to cast some sins away. I have dealt with one sin that first hit me at the age of twelve. It was not until just over two months ago that I finally cast that sin aside and it has no part of me due to the glory of Christ. By the way I am now fifty-five. So for forty-three years I was plagued by a sin over and over until I finally turned it fully over to Christ and I have not looked back upon it once. This is the very thing Jesus is referring to in John 15.
So it is important that you go to the book of Leviticus. Read and especially read those things that are called sins, in particular when they require a blood sacrifice to become clean, for it is Christ own blood that cast this from you. It is extremely important that you also understand, that when you cast off a sin and truly turn from it you will never desire to do that sin ever again. It is of the utmost importance that you understand what I am saying here. Too many have this image just because they have asked Christ into their life that they can continue to live in sin. This is the furthest thing from the truth. You are placing the sin before God and so you are saying you would rather live in the sin then with God. God first, all others second and yourself including your sins last. If you place God first the sin will mean nothing to you.
