There are times we go through trials and tribulations. As I have said before some may be a pruning by God to allow you to become a better tool for His glory. There will be some trials that confound and confuse you because they come at you from a direction you did not expect. Usually in these instances, there is another party involved. Someone outside that you do not know how or why they crossed your path and sent you into a trail and tribulation. When there is others involved it is always a test upon both parties or all those involved.
In many cases, it will be something that is testing you to see if you grow in your faith, and let me say on a personal note, that all our faiths including mine own have room to grow.
Here is my point of this post. Even though we end up growing and become closer to God in this time of tribulation we may not be the may target. I could be the other person in the situation that is being tested. It may be the other person having their faith in God worked upon by Him.
Our responses and actions to this person might be something that God can use to make this other person realize they need to change and come closer to God. Or they may just need to go through this trial in their own way, but still your reaction is important.
An example:
The other day I was behind a person on the road that was driving erratically. I noticed that he was more interested in looking on the screen of his cellphone then upon the road. I come to this conclusion by the mere fact that he crossed the double yellow line and had to come to a near stop several time to make a simple corner. I have seen drunk drives drive better. So as I get to a stop light I start honking my horn.
He jumps out of his car comes running to my window and proceeds to curse and me.
My respond. “Yes I have a problem with you. You are texting. Read Titus 3:1”
This reference to the Bible made his eyes widen, step back and then turn and leave to his car, which he suddenly started running to as it rolled driverless toward the car in front of it.
Was I being given a trail? I would say yes, if you knew me before Christ you would understand.
Was he being tested? I would say definitely.
Memories
The world is full of pitfalls and potholes.
As we go about our daily tasks, we are given days of joy and happiness. We are given days when nearly the same thing happens that had happened the day before. Then we are given trials. Most are minor, some are more painful, and some are soul rending.
The thing is there is always someone there waiting to help us. Many call out to Him, but many times, they do not believe he listens. Well He does. The answer you seek to see may not be the answer He wishes you to learn, but you must endure.
I had an encounter that took place in 1996. The details are unimportant, what is important though is that it took more than ten years to finally open my mind and heart to the lesson that God was trying to teach me. In those ten years I carried bitterness and anger within, which is opposite what God wants us to carry within us.
This anger and bitterness left me depressed and despondent. It led me to doubt my place with God. It led me down a path in which feel I could have been an unfruitful branch for God and so broken off of the tree and cast to the world.
I came close, but then I realized the truth and beauty of God and His Son Jesus Christ. It took an experience that was an echo of Job for me to turn my path back to God. Trials and tribulations I do not wish any to have to go through, but I know, as with me, that may be the only way for people to come to understand that Jesus in the answer.
That is the reason there are pitfalls and potholes in life.
The workmanship of God
When we think of God, we think of light, we also think of the source of our light that we see every day, the sun. What people have dismissed is that God created the sun just as was this planet.
Also people do not realize that the sun is huge. It can take 1,300,000 earths to fill the sun. Yet that sun is small. The largest known star at this time is VY Canis Majoris. It is estimated that it is 950 to 1200 times the size of our sun. Yet again this is nothing compared to the rest of the universe, and He who made it all, God.
I think this is one reason people have such a hard time accepting that God is real. Many limit God to this little speck in the universe, making Him as important as the insects that crawl and flay about.
It is sad that they do this, that the ultimate being that has the power to not only to create this planet, but to manipulate it as well. He has stopped it from rotating. He has turned a river to blood. He spread apart a sea. Yet people limit and ignore Him. Said it was just and nature event that cause these thinks to take place. Apparently you missed the earlier sentence that God can manipulate this planet, meaning to cause “nature events” to take place.
Did you see a bird today? You just saw the workmanship of God.
Who are these people??

The basics you need to know about Christianity
The most important is that there really is a God. That Jesus is alive and rose from the dead.
The next thing you need to realize is that saying you are Christian and being Christian are two completely different things.
To truly be Christian you must admit there is a God and that Jesus is His Son. In addition, that Jesus did not sin and was placed upon the cross in your place for your sins. Your own sins that can be found and listed within the Bible, sins you will try not commit any longer for you will know they are wrong. When Jesus rose from the dead, He had just returned from hell where he took the keys of that place from Satan because humankind could once again stand clean before God through the bloodshed upon that cross.
When you truly come to understand the teaching of Christ, you will come to understand that being a Christian is something that is not easy to do.
You will strive not to use curse words, yet you will and it will leave you feeling shame afterwards. You will come to place all others before yourself, but many times, you will be selfish and self-serving. Then you will realize you have sinned once again.
Being truly Christian, you will become aware of this feeling of guilt more than any other emotion, because being Christian is not easy.
There are those that teach that within you is your salvation, but this is a lie. For all that is within you is you. You can feel the presence of the Holy Spirit for that is the part of the Holy Trinity that comes in physical contact with all that accept Christ as their savior. Inside you through your soul you will come to know that the thought that comes to you to help you did not come from inside you but from outside and above.
Is it an angel? Is it Jesus? Is it even God talking to you? We do not know at this time, but someday we will. It is important though to realize is that it is not inside us but above us and can work through us for we are the body of Christ upon this world.
In time, we will learn that material possession and money are of the world and so have no true meaning to those that call themselves Christian. They will be just something that is necessary to get by in this world, but you will not go out seeking more and more. For if you do you are seeking your reward here upon this earth, which is not promised to us. For our reward will come in the next life. It states in the Bible that if you are rich your reward well be less in the Next life, but if you are poor, greater will be your reward in the time to come.
This last sentence brings me to the most important part of being a Christian. Within the Bible, it teaches that all humanity is promised an immortal body, but it is to those that truly sought after being a child of God will the promised reward be given unto us. Jesus taught that greater would be our reward within this immortal and perfect body. God created an entire universe. It is there just too look at from this planet called Earth? I do not believe so. I believe the entire universe will be opened onto to those that accept that there is a God and accept that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.
This life is meant to be hard and harsh for those that say God is real. For if we endure and keep to that believe then we will be given this ultimate reward, which is to explore all that was created by God.
The feel good ministries
In the first chapter of Titus, Paul instructs Titus to expose those that use lies and deceit to get financial gain from those that are not strong in their knowledge of the Bible or their faith in God.
Those that go about stating that you will only be happy when you turn to the person inside yourself, here is the thing. God does communicate to most through their soul and mind, which is what is inside us. What is important to realize though is that God is NOT inside us. We are a creation of God only. What is in us is our mind and soul. We are an echo of the holy trinity, given as prove that God is real. We are a mind, which is corrupt and able to commit sin with just a thought. We are a body, the vehicle to outwardly commit sin. We are a soul, which is the gift of God, and that part of us that will live on once the corrupt stops working or is replaced with the promised perfect and immortal body.
We are not to seek happiness for ourselves but happiness for others and when we do that is when God rewards us if He so desired to do so. It is clearly stated in the Bible that our reward is not on this planet, but in the eternal life that is to come.
If anyone promises you earthly rewards then they serve the one that is in charge of earth at this time, and that is not God by the way.
1 John 5, 19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
Matthew 12, 24: But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils. 25: And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
Matthew 16, 27: For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Matthew 25, 21: His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
My post rapture dream
It was about a year or so after I was born-again. It was another of what is called a vivid dream. I have many of them, most not able to be typed, but this one was.
I found myself inside of a store, but the racks and shelves were ransacked. I was in chains and in a line. In front of me and behind were others, they all wore a grey jumper. I looked down and found myself to be wearing the same.
Several half-naked people that were mostly tattooed and pierced were directing us. One stood upon the top of the shelves shout and laughing as he lashed out with a whip. As it snapped, I heard him say:
“Where is your God now? Why doesn’t He come and get you?” He said things like this repeatedly as he herded the line toward the back of the store. Soon after a twelve year old boy, tattooed as the others, came running down one of the hallways made by the shelves. He stopped, as he laughed and held up by the hair the head of a woman and all those that were herding those in chains roared with laughter.
Once we reached our goal, I saw a line of cots set against the back wall and we those chained together were placed into these cots. After a time one by one the cots to my left were emptied, then it was my time. They made me get up and walk through a door at the back of the store. All went black.
Revelation 20:4
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Special note: I had this dream in the late 1980s. At that time tattoos had not become as prevalent as they are today. In addition, I had never heard of any other type of piercing then the ear
Confessions of a screwed up middle aged man: Found
A new day arises. The unimaginable happened. I must remember my own words that no man is meant to be alone and that this life is only a test for the real life that is to come. A life that will last billions upon billions of years as is promised within the Bible.
Why I say this is? I am 54. In a temporal life, some would call that old, but as I just stated we are to live billions of years so being 54 is nothing to a lifetime of wonder as a servant of God.
Now I have found that which I have sought often since I was a teenager. This time I sought it God’s way, not mine and so I know it is blessed and will last forever.
Should Christianity change?
Many ask that question. What is to follow is my opinion on the matter.
My answer to this question. NO. It should not change. Christianity has had its difficulties ever since Jesus. Even in the early days, many of the things that are present in the church today were present in the church when Paul was teaching unto the Gentiles.
If you are willing to go with what is popular today than your heart is not where it should be. We are not to be a part of the world but separate from it as an example of what is good in the eyes of God. If you go about saying that it is okay to sin then you are turning your back on God. This goes for any sin. If the Bible states it is a sin it cannot change. It is still the same sin it was when it is called a sin when God on Mount Sinai gave Moses the laws. It was a sin when Jesus walked upon the earth. It was a sin when our ancestors came to America so they could worship God as the Bible taught, not as a King said it was to be done. It is a sin today.
I will help and befriend someone who chooses to live in sin, but I will still try to get him or her to realize that they are living in sin. It is not my place to force them to change. It is my place to be the light of God upon the world and expose those acts as sin.
If that person rejects God that is their choice as it should be, but I will still let them know that “if” there is a God then they are destine to an eternal life that is more hideous then what ISIS (ISIL) is doing to my fellow Christians in the Middle East. An ETERNAL LIVE of pain and suffering by their own choice.
As Christians, we are meant to be an example of what is true, right and clean. If your church allows those that sin within it. Then that church has turned it back on God and is no longer a church. A prime example is the Presbyterian Church, which first stated it would no longer acknowledge Israel, but then said it would accept homosexuality. That organization is no longer Christian and so if you call yourself Christian you must leave this group and find a place that is still Christian and follow the teaching of the Bible. We are told that Israel is the promised nation of God so to deny Israel is to deny God. We are told in the Bible that homosexuality is a sin. Therefore, if you allow sin into your buildings you allow Satan to have dominion and not God.
The basic principles of Christianity have lasted since 33 A.D. until now. That is one thousand nine hundred and eight plus years. Not counting the years from Mount Sinai. Nearly two thousand years that these rules, laws and teachings have endured yet now they are wrong? Sorry, but those that say they are wrong are the ones that are in the wrong.
People are dying more than ever for calling themselves Christian. Are you willing to have someone saw off your head as they did or are you a hypocrite? I already now the answer. I am willing to die a martyr for God. Are you?
Confessions of a screwed up middle-aged man: The countdown clock moves closer
In just a few days a milestone will be reached in my life. It is one many cross, but as you get closer to that time when doing what you want to do really starts to come into play. What is it? The anniversary of my hire date at my current job. Due to this, I will soon be able to say I plan to retire in eight years.
I miss the road. I miss seeing different things as you travel. Most of all I miss seeing different animals. I have seen Mountain Goats, Moose, Bison, Bear, Deer, Pierre Dogs, Roadrunners, Regular and Jack Rabbits, and my most favorite Pronghorn Antelope. Yet that still does cover them all.
I miss the mountains, the smell of pine forests in the spring. I miss exploring and discovering new things. It is something I truly wish to do once again, but I must wait, for it is not yet my time to have those adventures once again. Now I must work and wait for that special person that will be my friend and companion. For what good is it to look upon the wonders of God’s creation without someone to share it with.
