Children as pawns of the White House Part 2

WAKE UP CALL!!!!

American citizens are strongly reacting to the huge influx of children crossing our boarder ILLEGALLY.
(You should never support someone breaking the law EVER. No matter their age.)
The American public is starting to realize that the man in the White House cares more for foreign children then those born here.
Understand this world. The city of Detroit is now like a third world country. United States children are starving. United States children do not know luxury. It has not happened yet, but due to the rising anger from the common citizen of the United States, I fear for foreign children’s safety. Not only from the horrors they are suffering coming to the USA, but I fear soon some of the more radical elements in this country will do something bad, which will cause more harm than good for all.
I beg you for the very safety of your children do not allow them to be pawns anymore. Keep then home. Keep them safe.
Yesterday I read parts of an email from someone that reflects those that are in power at this time. Those that are in power do not care for you or anyone that they consider “common.” They only care for themselves and money. They are “Elitist.” They seek to have a select few with power, while the rest are left to scrape for just a meeker living.
Simply they wish to turn the US into the very country you are seeking to escape.
Do not allow them to succeed.
STAY HOME!

Review: Guardians of the Galaxy

First I must say having been around for the original Star Lord and Guardians I went into the theater skeptical of what I would encounter. I can honestly say that these new Guardians and Star Lord in particular are handled rather well.
I can also say that the next link in this Disney/Marvel series of movies did with excitement and action what other movies do as an intro or narrative. First, we are introduced to the literal expanded universe in which Marvel has placed its characters within. Alien races are the core elements of this movie as it carries the overall story arc forward.
The action is quick and continual. If it look like it is going to get boring, it makes you laugh and then you are in the action once again. It is well worth the time and money. Oh and by the way, plan on sitting through all the credits to see a post-credit clip to the movie.

“Curse of the Close-minded & Short-sighted”

I did not write what is to follow, but I had to share it. It is worth the read:

Another vent note….

This week I have dealt with three very difficult people, each in a unique situation, but all three the same, closed-minded and short-sighted, i.e., dangerous…. When you see someone you care about walking down a path that could harm them or others the natural reaction is to try to stop them, but what if you can’t? Often times this is the case because these people do not wish to see the facts or fail to see logic, and unfortunately they are the majority. It’s easy to fall into the trap of seeing the world only from your perspective of what’s right or wrong, it feels safe, secure, and it makes the world seem less complicated, but it’s a lie. A lie that can harm the innocent, it can destroy lives, and it can create conflict. It is the ultimate form of selfishness because you are placing yourself above others.

“If someone is able to show me that what I think or do is not right, I will happily change, for I seek the truth, by which no one was ever truly harmed. It is the person who continues in his self-deception and ignorance who is harmed.”
― Marcus Aurelius

This is my rant about this obscenely large group of people. I know I can’t do anything to change it, but it is really hard for me to watch it, and if I could I would separate myself and my family from all of it, but it’s everywhere. It’s a helpless feeling…having no real control over your life, and none of us do. We are all victims to the actions or inactions of others in some form…none of us are in control and if you think that you are the exception then you are part of the problem, none of us have control. What makes it terrifying is not only are we victims to the decisions of others, those decisions are often not very thought out….

“The most fatal illusion is the settled point of view. Since life is growth and motion, a fixed point of view kills anybody who has one.”
― Brooks Atkinson

There is no arguing with people like this, which makes it even more tragic. You could have certifiable proof and it would not matter to them. They value their opinion over fact, or logic, and that is not rational behavior. They love to deal in absolutes such as “always,” or “never,” when neither of these concepts exist in reality. They see the world as black or white, but these purities do not exist in the human world, everything is simply different shades of gray. Instead of planning ahead, they live in the moment; a view romanticized in this day in age, but it’s dangerous.

“Being ignorant is not so much a shame, as being unwilling to learn.”
― Benjamin Franklin

A simple example of this most of us can relate to, an intersection. Ever seen a dangerous 4-way or 2-way stop, and wonder, “why don’t they put a traffic light here, someone is going to get killed?” But, nothing ever happens. It remains the same for years and years, ample time to do something about it, but nothing. Until one day you hear about a person or family getting killed at that intersection then about a month later, as if by magic, traffic light has appeared…. Still the damage has been done—a life or lives have been lost, all due to lack of foresight. If foresight would have been used they would still be alive.

“If you have the power to prevent a tragedy but do nothing, you are equally held to the same guilt as the one who committed the act.”
— Michael Halding

Is it possible to predict every outcome, no it’s not, but it is important that we prepare for real logical possibilities and we leave our minds open for those possibilities. We must keep our minds open because someone else might be able to see something we can’t, something if action is taken could save a life. However, due to pride most people do not do this and to those people I ask, is your pride worth someone’s life? Must someone pay with their life for you to see reality? To me, it doesn’t make sense, it’s a waste, it’s selfish, arrogant, and immoral.

If you are one of these people…you are the problem, and you are the source of pain in this world.

Spiritual warfare and experiencing it in this reality

I was having a discussion with my middle son. He is in his thirties. He brought up a situation that happened soon after I had recently been born-again. Myself, and my two sons, who were just getting close to or at ten years old, noticed as well.
Several times I felt the presence of something not welcome in the house, the boys had a more vivid experience. They descript it as woman or witch as one said that was coming into their room. They both saw at the same time and as I said I felt its presence.
I was still young in my faith and very flamboyant about my faith those first few years after being born-again. This I have found out is typical behavior; I have also learned this is the time when many lose their faith.
This presence hunted my boys and I did my best to fight it off through prayer, but as I said I was young in my faith and didn’t approach anyone else with this issue. It wasn’t till my first divorce that was done and I was out of the house until my boys found peace.
Me on the other hand have gone through trial after trail. Why? Because I still believe and follow God, but as I grew in my faith I learned to place most of my burdens to God, and yet I know I have a long way to go still. As I talked to my middle son, he told me he had been reading on what he encountered. For there have been others that have experienced this, enough to write books about.
Most of these books go from a secular point of view and that is how my son presented it to me. One thing he made perfectly clear is that his presence was evil. Now think on that.
To acknowledge God is to also accept that there are angels. To accept angels then you accept that there is a devil since Satan was an angel, and he has followers and they are evil and are not, for the most part, of this reality. They do show up and have influence here, as my boys and me will attest too.
This is most likely one reason Christians have such a tough time for the most part. Why we go through trial after trial, and yet as we place our faith in God and His Son Jesus we come out better and stronger. Willing to face the diversities that will come until that time that we are called to join Jesus.

The Commitment

It is in times like those we live in is when those that profess to be Christian need to stand their ground and allow themselves to be known and heard.
In Iraq, militants assaulted Christians. They were told they must convert to Islam or they must leave or die. Some could not. Those that could not showed that they in reality might not have been Christian because they chose to convert. This is not what should have happened. They should have chosen to let themselves be killed and become martyrs and yet they live.
I know this is something that is difficult to do. To be willing to say: “Go ahead kill me.” That is very hard to do, but I know I would do it. I would rather die for God and Christianity. It is not the first time this has happened and it has happened to all religions. It is sad that those that are religious do not learn to truly follow their faith.
Will my death cause the world to change? I seriously doubt it. Most likely no one will ever know it even happened. Most likely hidden by the corrupt news media, or not divulged by a government that only seeks to keep itself in power.

I just had to shake my head

I was heading into work and I saw a pumper sticker that said: “I’m ready for Hilary.” I just had to shake my head.
Why?
Simple logic; the current president is religiously following the Democratic Party agenda. As a result, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. The United States has adopted the stereotype of the fat cop eating donuts while hundreds of thousands are murdered and says: “I’ll wait to hear about it on the news.”
As Israel is under attack from terrorist, while Russian soldiers pretend to be separatist and invaded a sovereign nation. The United States sits back as Islamic militants slaughter thousands and openly attack Christians.
All of this is what the Democratic Party wants and so you place a sticker on the pumper of a car implying Hilary Clinton (a Democrat) will be better. Did she switch parties and I wasn’t aware of it? Did she start a new party? The answer to both these questions is no. So as a result, you are ready for the exact same thing.
The changes promised to this nation of a better future by the Democratic Party has resulted in a war on the middle class and poor and all people can say is: “Oh it will get better it is Bush’s fault.”
HOW? The first year in a new president’s term is a result of the previous president. All other years are the result of the current president. You can only blame one person for the state of this nation; the man in the White House today.
This nation is falling apart.
As a result, the world is falling apart.
I still see in my mind a picture of the current person in the White House holding a book that was called “The Post-American World”
Well here we are in that world now all due to him.
Go ahead and vote for a Democrat and get what you deserve, but understand this. Every man, woman and child that has and will die due to this parties actions of pulling the conscious of the world away from doing what God has made it to do; will be placed upon every person’s soul that supports them.
When you stand before God and they read the book of your life and He says you allowed 10 million people to die and you say “How?” and He replies “By causing a few men to remove Me from doing what I made the United States of America to be. A place where I am worshiped. A place where My first children could count upon you to help them. A place that showed the rest of the world that I, God am real and something to be feared. It is due to this that you allowed these people to die.”
And all you will be able to do is cry, for a VERY long time.

Confessions of a screwed up middle aged man: Why I prefer voluptuous woman

To me skinny or athletic females are a turn off. I do not want to see the woman’s skeleton or muscles. Now I must confess my first wife was skinny and boney before she gave birth, but I adored her post birth body. Other issues caused our marriage to end.
So having experienced both body types, I feel I can attest honestly on the subject. A woman with an hourglass figure and with smooth curves is much more appealing to the eye and attractive.
I watch those ads on TV where they talk about losing weight and they show before and after pictures. Nine times out of ten, I think to myself the woman looks better before she lost the weight. I am not a fan of things like that, but honestly, there are times when folks are too overweight. That is why the word “average” sounds more like the word “sexy” to me.

“Kingdom of Heaven” (2005): Understanding the many layers within it. Part 3 – The warrior monk.

Hospitaler the warrior monk appears throughout the movie “Kingdom of Heaven.” Sometimes when and how he appears causes you to wonder and think. That is as it should be. Each person must make up their own mind about this character.
What is important is that this soldier of God seems to have the most wisdom of God’s teachings. He is an adviser to first the lead characters father and then to the lead character.
He provides keys of wisdom. Like stating that all God desires is your mind and your heart. As well as God seeks that you be good and perform good deeds.

“Kingdom of Heaven” (2005): Understanding the many layers within it. Part 2 – Balian de Ibelin

Balian a man in torment and a man tormented when he is first introduced. His wife had just committed suicide after losing their child during birth.
He is a common blacksmith and yet not. He is also an artificer, an engineer and a warrior. He has been educated and so exposed more to the Bible than most. He can read and write so he is not common, for if he were he would be illiterate and ignorant as those in power wish their commoners to be.
This is the first message that is taught by this man. Do not allow yourself to be ignorant, but you say: “I have been taught and so I am not ignorant.” I would challenge this. How did this man become so talented? Through a desire to learn and better himself. This is what God wants all humans to do. Yet most do not. They allow themselves to accept what little the schools offer and seek out no more than that, yet the schools offer less and less as designed by those in power. Designed to create the ignorant and truly uneducated. They are taught selfishness, but not self-worth. All humanity if they truly wish to seek out God will seek Him. They will seek through knowledge and the desire to gain this knowledge. For through knowledge you can truly study the Bible and so then can truly understand what is within the Bible. To allow others to dictate to you what is in the Bible is to invite ignorance of a different type. The type that we find illustrated within this movie.
We find he was born out of wedlock. A bastard. His father, the younger son of the noble that rules the lands conceived him then was sent off to the Crusades to redeem himself for this sin. His father did learn the Bible and so returned as a baron to his place of birth to claim what is his. Not his land, his son.
This causes Balian to journey to the Holy Lands. Here he arrives a nobleman, more than he was a few short months before. He is forced into a fight, prevails, and so gains an escort to Jerusalem. Here he shows true Christian faith. First for not killing the second man and then for releasing this same man. The statement is made: “Your quality will be known among your enemies before ever you meet them.”
These are the qualities that all people who call themselves Christian should have. The qualities that are taught to us within the Lord’s Prayer. ”Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” Balian forgave and even prayed for the man that attacked him and he was forced to kill defending himself.
The next key element within this movie that defines not only this man, Balian, but also Christianity itself. It happens when he meets with the King of Jerusalem. In their conversation, they start to discuss chess. Within this discussion is where the nugget of truth is found. The King states that when we stand before God we cannot say “’But I was told by other to do thus’ or that virtue was not convenient at the time” for our own souls are in our own keeping he also said. This is possibly one of the most profound statements I have heard in this modern era.
It is people’s responsibility for their own actions. It is something many do not accept as being true. It is another facet in the word “ignorance.” As the saying goes, “ignorance is bliss,” for within ignorance you can lead a live of peace and enjoyment because all you care for is yourself. As I have said before Selfishness is to me the ultimate sin, so ignorance is sin.
Throughout this film, you see a man, a human. Balian commits sin, yet who hasn’t? Do we hold this sin against him? No, so why should we hold others accountable for their. What people need to understand is that sin in the end will only affect the person committing these sins. When someone comes to God, they come to understand this in some way. They become remorseful and repentant when they sin. They try not to sin and then they try to do good as well to help overcome the sins they have committed.
In the final encounter between Balian and Imad. Imad turns to him and says (paraphrased) If God did not know him, then how did he do what he had done?
God knows all that we do. He only places burdens upon us that He knows we can handle. It may not seem so at the time, but we must work through it and seek out life. In movies and books, we are witness to this through struggles of violence and battle. Battles like that for the city of Jerusalem in this movie.
Study the man Balian in this film and learn. Do not just look upon it as escapism, which to a degree it is, but learn, from it and the man.

A study of Titus Chapter 1

Yesterday I started thinking how can I serve the Lord when I retire. Admittedly that is still a few years away, but I prayed upon it amongst other things. Today I felt urged to look deeper into the book of Titus.

Paul tasked Titus with finding elders for the churches within Crete. What caught my attention the most though, first was verse 1:7 and then later verses 9 -11.
Why? Because of all the feel good give “my ministry” money and God will reward you people out there that have TV shows and other things.

The main phrase that sticks out in verse seven is “filthy lucre”.. In that actual break down of the Greek it is actually the entire phrase “given to filthy lucre” which is the word aischrokerdes. Which is from aischros (shameful) and kerdos (gain). Basically greed. Titus is to look for someone who is not seeking money or riches especially when gotten through lies and deceit.

Paul also clearly states that they even profess to being of the faith in verse ten: For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision.

Titus was set with the commission of finding elders for the church in Crete so they could talk against those that do these selfish self-seeking endeavors at the expense of those of the church. For we are called to serve others in need. Not only of material need but spiritual need.

It is these con-artist that prey upon our desire to serve and take advantage of it for their own ends. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing and it is something we must do our best to fight against.

13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;

14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

Above you see Paul telling those of the faith to be rebuked sharply so that they may return to the faith and not to heed to stories and commandments made for and by men, because they are turning away from the truth. This is seen throughout Christianity since it foundation. Time and again humans pervert the Gospel to suite their own needs and desires. Adding ceremonies and rituals that only glorify the people not God or His Son Jesus.

Nowhere in the Bible does it state that if you give money to expect more money to be returned to you. Nor does it say we are to receive our rewards here and now, but we are to receive our rewards after the return of Jesus. To be a Christian is to live in hardships not go around in fancy cloths, cars or houses.

In closing, I leave you with the last verse of Titus Chapter 1:

16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
